Hardwood Floors by Fabian

From the moment I contacted them I was quite impressed by their promptness and professionalism. I've indicated my interest in having them install hardwood floors in two other rooms in my home in the near future. I highly recommend their services.

Fabian and his son Jonathan did a superb job. They have it all: craftsmen at installing and refinishing floors coupled with extremely courteous, punctual, responsive and reliable service, reasonably priced. The quality of the job they did for me was excellent. My floors were in terrible shape because of a previously botched refinishing and staining, and I really couldn't stand them. Now my floors have never looked so good and are a pleasure to look at every day -- the refinishing has changed the feeling of the whole house. Would I use them again? You bet. I've already told all my friends that Fabian is the person to contact if they are thinking of having their floors done.

If I could give an A+ I would. Fabian and his crew were responsive, friendly, communicative, on time, competitively priced and refinished my hardwood floors beautifully. Not only would I recommend him to anyone looking for hardwood flooring work I would without a doubt call him again for any future projects I might have.

I called him on Friday September 12th 2014 to come to evaluate my basement for an estimate. We made an appointment for Monday, September 15th 2014 around 4pm and I was waiting for him until 5pm, when he did not show up or called me. I have texted and left voice message on his phone to call me back, but he has not done so. He sounded very professional when I talked to him on the phone, but I guess he cannot keep his appointments or promises. Would not recommend!!!

The service went very well. Fabian and his sons were professional, courteous and obviously skilled in their trade. They did not create any ancillary damage (which is always a concern with a job like this) - they were careful about our walls and existing cabinetry. The results were remarkable - a 17 year old existing floor married with brand new flooring, all refinished so that you could never tell the difference or see a transition from one room to another. Fabian was a stand-out among the other contractors I considered, and I am glad we decided to go with him and his crew.

Absolutely wonderful! Fabian was reliable from the very first meeting (estimate of service) to the final meeting (final payment). He showed up exactly when he said he would and completed each day's work as he had reported it would be completed. He communicated throughout the entire job including sending us text message photos of the days work when we were away! Fabian worked with his son (Jonathan), son-in-law and another close family friend. All four men were courteous and professional and a pleasure to interact with. We are very particular about hiring people to work in our home and we were NOT disappointed. Fabian was completely honest on what we should expect (i.e., dust, some possible marks on floor molding, amount of drying time required, etc.). The final result is GORGEOUS and we could not be happier! I will certainly use Fabian again and will highly recommend him to friends and family.

As I said, Fabian did not complete the work, but he conducted himself in a very professional manner. If I have a larger job in the future, I will be sure to call him.

Amazing job. My floors look brand like they did when we initially installed them. I don't want to put any rugs on them to cover them that is how amazing they look. I did not expect them to look like this I could not be happier. All stains and black spots were removed I mean everything. My kitchen floors are a high traffic area, we entertain often. My expectation was that they would look better but what I got was nothing short of amazing. This is a family run business and Fabian and his Son are so professional and take so much pride in their work. Fabian came to give me a quote. He said he would be there between 8 and 830 and he was right on time. He was thorough, explained everything in detail. He showed up to do the job three days later and as he originally told us he would have the job completed in three days. Every single day they were prompt, worked all day, paid so much attention to detail. They are very friendly, professional and respectful. I fully expected to have a house full of dust. When I originally spoke to Fabian he told me that even though they say 99%dust free there will be some dust. I have yet to find it other than a tiny bit on my counter. They took the time to ensure what I had left out was covered and cleaned. I can not recommend highly enough the superb job they did on my floors and will use them again next year to do the other half of my house. They deserve A+ down the board and ten stars no question. I couldn't be happier with the work Fabian performed in our house, installing hardwood floors in an office, bedroom and closet. From the very first day he walked me through the whole process and then was there every step of the way to stand by his work. Fabian and his team are skilled artisans who know their craft inside and out. For the few days they were in my house they essentially became part of the family. They are such a delight to deal with. My wife and I will definitely be hiring them in the future for 3 more rooms we want to have hardwood floors installed in.

Fabian had given us an estimate on redoing our floors back in December of 2013. We didn't call him to schedule our floors until early March. We offered a possible date -- and he said "No problem." He and his crew showed up bright and early Monday morning and did a remarkable job of sanding our worn and stained floors, then stained them to the exact shade we wanted. We had a number of cat urine spots on the floors, and now they're just about invisible. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, his crew showed up to put down the first two coats of polyurethane. And Thursday, Fabian and his crew were back to do the final coat and to offer a lot of great advice as to how to care for the floors in the future. I learned a tremendous amount about installing hardwood floors from Fabian, and I truly appreciate it. And when it was time to make the second half of the payment (after all the work was done), the charge was exactly what he had quoted in his estimate months before -- to the penny. We have two more rooms with wood floors that need refinishing; and Fabian will be the first and only person we call.

I found Fabian on Angie's list read the reviews and call Fabian. I left a message and he promptly returned my call. I explained what I wanted to accomplished. An appointment was scheduled. He arrived at the scheduled time. He looked at the floors which were badly stained from pet urine, he explained that he had worked on floors in worst condition, but qualified his comment by indicating that not all stains can be removed. We scheduled the job for February 17th at 9am. His son Jonathan and son-in-law Steven called Monday morning advising that they were on their way. They arrived on time. After reviewing what needed to be done, Jonathan also made the same statement that Fabian made regarding the stains. They began work, once the floor with the worst stain was sanded he applied a sample stain. The result was unbelievable the worst pet stains disappeared. Jonathan and Steven worked for 5 days sanding, staining and applying polyurethane. The finished result is beyond words. The professionalism, knowledge and skills that were displayed were well beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them. Respectfully, Charles...

My husband and I could not be happier with the fnished product. It's like living in a new home. We were especially impressed with the extra time and effort that Fabian and his family put into the job in order to finish it exactly on time as promised --despite a horrific snowstorm.

Well, initially I was happy. They agreed to do closets, however they skipped a 8x8 closet said they didn't see it . They agreed to come back and do it. They have never come back. I called several times but no response. Also they did not move the refrigerator and do underneath it. Big problem with new refrigerator. They were very nice and professional and I liked them but them not coming back was a huge disappointment. I paid what they asked and provided refreshments. Was surprised by the no call back.

We could not be any happier. This was our first home and it needed a lot of work. Fabian immediately got back to us and gave us an estimate the next day. They are a family owned business, they were courteous and very friendly and always kept us informed throughout the entire process. We would definitely recommend their work to friends and family. We also plan to use them again in the future for our deck and anything else that might come up.

From the initial consult, Jonathan (Fabian's son) was extremely professional and affable. The subsequent days when all of the work was taking place.....their entire professional family was involved and now I have beautiful hardwood floors once again! Very professional service; called far in advance to notify of slight delay. Completed the job in a timely manner.

Initial response was good, they showed up to quote as requested. Finished product was disappointing. A gloss finish was applied but in hindsight, a satin finish should have been used and recommended considering the age of the floor. Even though this home was empty and under some renovations, it should have been treated no different than if I was living there. I have dealt with many contractors on a professional basis for projects much larger in scope and cost but his small project fell short for the following - - I will admit, that under different conditions, I might have replaced some of the flooring as it is 50 plus years old and some areas were stained but, large nails holes and gaps should have been filled, they were not. - Some interior door trim was broken during the project - There was wood dust everywhere throughout the house - There was sawdust and debris left on the front lawn - The house was left unlocked - Debris from the project were left for me to dispose of including the empty varnish cans. - Molding that was removed was left with the nails in it leaning against a new vanity, causing some scratches in the vanity surface.

Think of Fabian as the Michelangelo of floor refinishing. We had two fairly difficult floors in an old house. Fabian arrived with a veritable army of two sons and one son-in-law. In case you've never watched floor sanding and refinishing, the work is pretty brutal - dusty, loud, and heavy on the refinishing vapors. These guys really earn their money. The results were museum quality. We are pretty fussy, and every last corner and edge was perfect. Not a bubble was to be found on the surface. Personally, Fabian struck us as someone with high integrity who takes a lot of pride in his workmanship. We will have him do a floor in another house. Very highly recommended.

This family owned business is truly the epitome of professionalism and great customer service! Fabian, his wife, and two sons worked tirelessly to perform the job, which was completed in about 1.5 days. Fabian came over, took measurements of the area, and quoted us a price that was extremely fair. He gave us several options, from choosing the company to pick out our flooring from to tearing out the carpeting that was already in place ourselves so that we could save a few extra dollars. During the installation process, his son Jonathan made sure to approach us a few times throughout the day to explain certain details about the work they were doing, or just to tell us to take a sneak peek at how it was going. Besides the fact that they are extremely professional about the work, they are just lovely, nice people that we are so glad to have met and help us beautify our home. We are already planning on hiring them again in about a month or so to replace the stairs in our home, which are in much need of repair. We wouldn't want anyone else to do the job!

Fabian came on time to measure and give me an estimate. We agreed on a delivery date for the wood so that it could acclimate to our home. He came on time as promised with his family to do the work. They worked so beautifully together! It is clear that they enjoy and respect each other and their work reflects those feelings. They even made a custom adjustment to an imperfection in the adjacent hallway floor, which would have otherwise created a gap between the floors. It's PERFECT! If I could do the rest of the house, right now, I would! I highly recommend them and their work!

They came for an initial viewing, gave us an estimate, provided good information about buying the supplies, confirmed again prior to the agreed on date, showed up punctually, carried out the job as planned, cleaned up neatly, and kept to the price estimate. Fabian was pleasant and professional, as were his wife and son. My only quibble was some chips in the newly painted walls, which I didn't notice until they'd gone, but these were not hard to fix. I was happy with the job they did and would not hesitate to use Fabian's services again.

As usual I asked 3 estimate from different providers. This is a family owned and run business: he works with his wife, son and son's wife and they all are very nice and expert. Fabian estimate was in line with the others (<10% difference) and I liked his professionalism: he talked me out of doing some work that would not be appropriate for the house and suggested a diagonal installation in one room to make it look even better. We did agree on the work to be performed and I gave him the house key. Everything worked out very smoothly - he had wood delivered, removed the old carpets and installed the new floors in about 10 days (including the mandatory wait time for wood to "settle"). The new floors are beautiful and clearly show Fabian and his team craftsmanship. If you need new hardwood floors and/or refinishing old floors I strongly recommend Fabian.
