White's Locksmith

I found White's locksmiths through the Angie's List search, and they had good rec's from people in the area. I called on a Friday morning, and got a knowledgeable person to take information; he asked questions about what I had in terms of the existing knob/lock, and about the existing holes from the "missing" lock so he knew what to bring (and which is how I now know I have a drop-bolt). We made an appointment with Kelvin for follwing (sat) am, and he called about 1/2 hour before arrival as promised. He replaced knobs and spindle (as estimated), brought a few different kinds of bolt-locks and explained the features of each without "hard-selling" a higher-end lock. We decided on one of the higher-quality locks while he was out getting something from the truck -- no pressure to make a decision in front of him. Kelvin was knowledgeable, friendly, and Installed quickly and professionally. He asked about how we found out about Whites, and offered the 5% AL discount without me asking (I would have forgotten). I would have no hesitations in recommending them.

They showed up on time (big plus there) and changed the lock in no time at all. I would use them again.

I called another Angie?s List recommended locksmith Friday morning around 8am but due to the business he receives from Angie?s List he was unable to accommodate me until Monday. Also mentioned that he didn?t really service my area and recommended another company. That company doesn?t service my area either. I called White?s Locksmith about 9 am and was told to expect someone after noon. Just before noon got a call from the locksmith that he would arrive around 1pm and he arrived about 12:45. We discussed the lock that needed to be re-keyed and he quickly finished the job. We also discussed a knob issue I was having with another door and he provided the solution. In just a few minutes both problems solved. Very nice, very professional and a pleasurable experience all around. Would definitely use them again.

Both locks on my apartment door were gradually becoming more and more difficult to unlock -- keys would not turn the bolt. Based on Angie's List reports, I called White's and spoke with Al who was very friendly and knowledgeable and who said he would arrive within an hour and he did. After examining both Medeco locks, he applied some WD40 lubricant to both locks - VOILA, problem solved! and charged only for the service call ($45 + tax). He could have easily ripped me off by installing new Medeco locks, but was very honest in solving the problem as easily as he did.

I called the company based on the good ratings it got on here. The guy who answered the phone took my number and address and told me someone would be by after 1pm. I ran all my errands and made sure I was home by 12:30. No one called or ever came. Wasted afternoon.

When I called them, they picked up the phone. They were very friendly. The guy who answered the phone might have been the owner or the manager. He kind of talked me through what I needed, which I appreciated. I often find when I call places, you talk to somebody that you don’t know very much but with them it felt like I knew them which is nice. I prefer to use places like that. So the person who answered the phone definitely talked me through what I needed which was useful. They gave me a very clear price. They had a very clear conversation with me about when they could do it which I also felt was nice. Then the actual guys who came to install it, showed up on time. They definitely knew what they were doing and they did a good job. The reason why I called them was because our door was broken into. So I also had a conversation with them about the door and about the security of the door. They clearly knew what they were talking about and they didn’t try to sell me something else. So I found the experience all very good and very agreeable. We will use their services again in the future but hopefully I don’t have to.

My parents had a deadbolt lock on their apartment door that was cited as illegal during a building inspection. I called White's, explained the situation to the owner (who answered the phone), asked for a recommendation/options, a price quote and an appointment for installation. The appointment was scheduled at my convenience, which turned out to be just a few hours ahead of Hurricane Irene. Al showed up at exactly the expected time, brought exactly what I had asked for and completed the work quickly and neatly, despite having seriously injured his hand on a job the day before. He had a great attitude and the job cost a bit less than I was expecting. All in all a great experience.

Everything was excellent. I was very pleased with the turnaround time because my lock was jamed. Technically I couldn't turn my key in the locks. I spoke with Dominque at Whites Locksmith who asked questions to try to assess the situation over the phone and then suggested that I used WD40 to help with the locks. It didn't work so I called him back on Saturday. He gave me an estimate and a time frame between 10-12. They showed up at 10 a.m. sharp.

It is now June, almost July, and everything is working well. No complaints.

Had a old cast iron door that the key wouldnt turn. Was worried that I would have to replace the whole lock, which would be expensive and hard to find since its old. Guy came, on time, and had the cylinder that was needed, didnt need to replace the lock. He didnt have change so he gave me a discount too, I didnt even bother to ask for the 5% coupon offered on here.

They showed up at the prescribed time and did an overall good job in a fast and courteous manner. I would refer them to anyone who needs the service.

They arrived on time, set to work and finished quickly. They were professional and polite. The price wasn't cheap, but I think that was a function of requesting high security locks. Overall, I was very pleased with the service.

I had a positive experience. The locksmith came in and did the job that I asked him to do. He did a good job as well. The price was fair. His responsiveness was very good. I called and he called me back within an hour. We then made an appointment for him to come out in two days. He was able to follow the schedule as well as the appointment time. His punctuality was good since he came on time.

It went super. The tech was phenomenal. My tenant wasn't fully moved out and he graciously waited until they finished moving which was almost an hour and there was no additional cost.

It went well. The specialists were 1 hour late due to unexpected longer service calls that day, but called to let me know their revised schedule. They replaced 1 lock cylinder ( explaining the choices first) and checked and repaired a 2nd lock on the door at no additional cost. The gentlemen were polite, professional, and receptive to inquiries. I would not hesitate in using them again.

We had moved to a new house and wanted to change all of our locks. We contacted White's Locksmith after reading reviews on Angie's List. They were very pleasant and were able to come the next day. They gave me a call to confirm that we were still available and to let me know that they were on their way. They were on time and did the work efficiently... and they were very nice in the process! We spent a little more than we had expected, but they swore that these locks were the best! We would use them again if we had any locksmith needs.

Kevin (Kelvin?) was excellent. When I called, he gave a very clear description and choices about the lock we needed for my apartment door. He made an appointment for the next day and was on time. He came with all the equipment that was needed, arrived on time, and was knowledgeable, professional, helpful and did a great job!

I have no complaints whatsoever. Kelvin at White's locksmith was punctual and very professional. I highly recommend this company.

He listened to me. He gave me a good idea for a better lock. He was available for the explanation for what was happening.

Everything went very well. I called early that same morning and the techs were there before noon. They didn't try to sell me any more then what was necessary and I did appreciate it.

They did a wonderful job and the price charged by them was very good. They were punctual and fast. They brought couple of different locks and so, I had a choice to choose the lock that I wanted. They did the work very well.
