The only good item was that I did not pay any intial service fee, not that I would have paid any seeing as how my wife and I could not use the unit at all and our 1/2 was out of commission for a week. I also had to keep calling A-OK to get information from them, rather than they calling me to inform me of what was being done. The initial service date is approximate as this whole repair stretched out over 3 weeks.

The entire experience was simple & fast and without any issues. The ignitor had failed in our stove, though we did not know the particulars at the time, and we called A-Ok to come by and fix it. The repairman came at the appointed time, as friendly and explained exactly what was wrong, replaced the ignitor, and was on his way. All in all, a positive experience. Please note that A-Ok is the same company as 5th Avenue Appliance.

I called in the problem in the morning, and they sent someone out that same day, with a time estimate of a few hours. Chris showed up right within that time range, even calling me to give me a decent 30-minute heads up prior to arrival. He immediately assessed the problem, but needed to get a part in order to fix it. In spite of his busy schedule that day, Chris worked around my schedule and came back early the same evening to finish the repair. The quoted estimate was what I paid, which seemed a reasonable sum considering prices I had been quoted previously by other companies. Chris, as well as the people from 5th Ave Appliance on the phone, were all helpful and courteous, and took the time and attention to get all the necessary details to help me out. That's better customer service than I've come to expect in this fast-paced, automated day and age!

My time frame for service was from 10-1. Maurice arrived at 12:25. He worked very hard to fix the problem and was professional and courteous at all times. He was able to answer all of my questions and cleaned up afterward. I would certainly recommend the services of this company.

Over a weekend, my refrigerator was making a noise and the temperature in the main compartment was rising. I called 5th Avenue on Sunday and left a message. They replied first thing Monday morning and told me a repairman would be here between 11a - 2pm. Frank arrived at 12:15pm. He quickly diagnosed the problem, cleaned and adjusted the condenser and was done in a half hour. He also showed me what I needed to do for maintenance. I was extremely relieved and pleased with the service. I thought $175 + tax might be a bit steep for a half hour's work (I would have thought more around $125); but for the efficiency and lack of hassle or excessive waiting it was worth it. Frank, as an individual, was particularly pleasant to deal with. On their listing, it says that a $20 credit will be applied to completed repairs. Is that true of this one?

The appliance is in the home of my elderly mother who has assistive care & called for them to set up an appointment and was treated courteously an appointment was scheduled within a day or two and the technician arrived as promised. Received $25.00 courtesy credit.

They were very good. I liked them. They were very professional, polite and quick to come. I would use them again, no doubt.

They were okay, but it took them two months to get a part. Reggie came in, and he has been here before. We were happy with him. This time, the project took a little longer than my liking, but that is the only problem we've had with him. He has been fine to use for other appliances, which is why we keep going back. After I called them, they were here in two days. The oven has worked fine since. I wasn't unhappy about the price. I believe that this company is the only Viking repair company out here.

In my case, it was important to give them an idea on the phone of what parts would potentially need to be replaced. That way, they arrived with the necessary items on the truck and the washer was working half and hour later. I had also requested that the technician give me a call when he was on his way to the house, which he helpfully did. All interactions with the office were both pleasant and professional. Bravo.

They came an hour after we called to report a broken dishwasher and garbage disposer. We feared two new appliance purchases. They diagnosed the problem to be correctable with a couple of new parts. Two days later the parts were in, the next day they were installed with no mess. Problem solved. They were responsive, competent, and friendly. What more could you want?

I made a reservation for the repair between 10-1 and they didn?t show without calling. I called the office every hour and they continually told me that the technician was on the way. I then got a call saying after 1:00 that he was stuck! I canceled the appointment.

Needed service quickly. Water supply to ice/water dispensing refrigerator was leaking on to the kitchen floor. Had to shut off water supply. Needed ice machine for treatment of shoulder replacement. They came within 3 hours, repaired a leaking supply line and restored operation. Couldn't be happier. They were prompt, courteous, and fair in price.

My refrigerator sprung a leak, causing a small pool of water to from on the floor below the unit. I called 5th Ave. Appliance and they sent a repairman. I was able to make an appointment for the same day that I called. The repairman came on time. He diagnosed the problem as a break in my ice maker and said I needed a new unit. The cost would be $385.00. I decided to buy a new refrigerator, rather than repair the old one. The repairman shut down the ice maker on my fridge and packet it with paper towels so the leak would be contained for a few days while I purchased and installed a new one. After he left there was no sign of water near the ice maker and the paper towels remained dry, but the leak under the refrigerator continued unabated. It was clear that the ice maker was not the cause of the leak, even though it wasn't making ice. I never found out what was leaking. It might have been something that cost more than $385.00 to repair, but if it cost less I might not have bought a new fridge.

Phil came when he said he would (Yeah!!), managed my expectations about parts, and finished the repair as soon as the parts were in. He was knowledgeable and was willing and able to answer questions about my range.

Expecting to wait a week or so on a Friday, I called 5th Avenue and spoke with Craig. When I explained my problem, he put me on hold and said someone could come between 2 and 5 today - minimum $150 service charge. Great! Later, Victor called ahead, said he could come at 1:00. I said fine. He quoted a price of $420. It seemed like a lot to me, but I guess freon is expensive. We agreed on $380. He performed the work described above in a professional manner in the one hour he said he needed. Overall, this was a big change from six years ago when another company recommended by my apartment building sent two workers to recharge the freezer. They never touched the ice, used a vacuum to clean the condenser, mentioned how expensive Sub Zero refrigerators were, charged $750 and were gone in 1/2 hour. These non-professionals exploited me. 5th Avenue Appliance has earned my loyalty.

I had two service calls. First was to fix refridgerator door and cooling fan. The appointment went great. The service tech was on time, did what needed to be done and was very courteous. The second call was to fix a fan for vent of a stove. This call was a disaster. The tech never showed up, never called. When I called the company they did not know why the tech did not show up. Another appointment was scheduled (I needed to get the fan fixed) and the tech showed on time. He was not the friendliest but fixed the fan.

IThey had worked in the past on my old miele dishwasher and fixed the problem. I trust them completely

The repair person was late but he called three times to keep me posted and he apologized profusely for being held at another job.

Started out ok, they arrived on the same day in Manhattan to diagnose the problem, but then it took them what seemed like forever (7-8 weeks) to order and install the part. The billing was also not clear. They started out saying it would be $325, but the final bill was closer to $700. The office is a bit disorganized and communication with the field staff is below par. For example, it took 4 days from he installation to find out how much it would cost b/c the field installer had not submitted the "papers" to the office - isn't that what cellphones are for? Anyway, average to poor service.

The job went very smoothly and quickly. The repairman arrived within the time specified (same day service, actually!) and he was done with the job in about 15 minutes.

Their voicemail stated they would contact you promptly. I requested they get back in touch with me quickly as I was quite concerned I had a major problem with my fridge. I normally would have tried a second time, but I was able to get in touch with another company that completed the work. I have yet to hear back from 5th Ave.

Called for an appointment and rec'd actual time for next day. Tech arrived early! Dismantled entire unit. Cleaned it in places I didn't know existed, including the little holes in the burner. Very neat. Replaced ignitor and it works better than ever. Took 1 hour. Had the part on the truck.....they never even asked me what model other than Thermador and the grill is ten years old. Had used this company once before a couple years ago for dryer repair and had similar experience, so, thought it was time to give them a good review. Price is fair. WAY cheaper than THermador's fee.

The repair man came out within a few hours of the initial service call. It took about half and hour or so to diagnose the problem. He returned 2 days later with the repair parts. The DW is lodged tightly between the stove and the cabinets, and he carefully removed it, found the leaky discharge hose and replaced both the discharge hose and water supply line. The supply line wasn't broken, but was bent and he replaced it with a higher quality one, since the DW was accessible. He carefully put back the DW with special care not to scratch the floor. Overall, he was punctual, careful and courteous. Very pleasant experience and plan on using them again.

Repairman came the same day I called, even earlier than expected. He immediately knew what the problem was with my oven and had the part. He also spent some time testing my air conditioner to see why it was not working (turned out to be the compressor, so I ended up just getting a new one). Very pleasant, professional and neat.
