Falso Service Experts

While reading the paper on a Sunday afternoon it seemed to be getting a bit chilly so finally got up to check the thermostat - 56 degrees! Went down to check the furnace breaker and fuse and found no problem. Called Service Experts to see what it would cost to have someone come out on a Sunday to check out the furnace and was pleasantly surprised - $99. + tax. Technician arrived within 1/2 hour and diagnosed a seized up blower motor. He was able to lubricate it enough to get it running and said it should be replaced ASAP (furnace is 10 years old). **May use Service Experts again in an emergency or perhaps for routine matters but probably not for repair/replacement. A representative from Service Experts called the next day and quoted me a price of $600. + tax to replace the motor. I found another provider on Angies List who did it for $325.

Installed heater. Left cap off water heater and left it so carbon monoxide could come in house. Installer corrected problem. sees33333a33sss 3s3aaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. Put pipes on outside of house so when wind blew the right way would blow fumes into house. Furnace installation started being installed on the 15th of October and the pipes were finished on the 21st of October. I would never have anything to do with Bob Ryan again. Be warned . Paul w allace is a peace maker and honest man to work with. Have all the respect in buying from him.

I was very unhappy with the service I was provided by Service Experts (at the time Falso). Besides the normal sales pitch and promise that I was initially pleased with, the whole experience was horrible. 1. 1st installers filled my house with black smoke and left a kind post-it note that said it shouldn't happen again 2. 1st installers left a note that they needed to finish the install (hooking up the humidifier) and they would be back soon. They never came back. 3. Falso calls me for prompt payment and knew nothing about the job not being completed. They say they will call me to finish soon. 4. Falso calls me a few days later confirming someone will be at my house the next day. If they would have called to schedule an appointment, not just make one, I could have told them that I was out of town for the week. 5. No one told me I had to call and have the duct cleaners come on a different date than the installers. 6. Duct cleaner gave me significant attitude the day of the visit. 7. Duct cleaner did not clean up, leaving metal shards in the basement for my cat (was I supposed to wait for Falso to come back and "address the issue"?) 8. Duct cleaner broke off, bent, and jammed open several base air vents. Worse off, some vents had the plastic over the lever ripped off. Now with twin 18mo old girls, I fear the they will fall on the sharp lever (my fault I have not fixed yet). 9. I called Falso religiously for 3 weeks to get some sort of compensation/refund. No-one had called me back except my original sales rep, citing that he can't authorize anything of the sort. 10. Furnace goes out, service at 1am was free, but ended up being an exhaust screen was freezing over. Simple fix was to remove it. 11. Later, I notice that 1st Installers left a 3" gaping hole to the exterior without sealing it. 12. Again, I ask for some sort of compensation/refund for these issues. Falso extended my service contract a year and was willing to send a check for $8.52 to cover a can of Great Stuff and rubber slips for the vents. I did not accept the check out of principle and took my business else where. On a side note, I am very easy to work with and very understanding. As an accountant, I understand business but I am also pretty good with my hands as an avid DIYer. I think the way Falso (now Service Experts) has handled my service was both unprofessional and of poor quality. In line with Angie's "dos and dont's" I will not recommend who I am currently pleased to be working with. I will say that it is not a company that needed to change its name in the last 5 years (possibly to refresh brand image?).

The plumbing check was very helpful-no charge for that. Some things that could be problems in the future were pointed out. The air conditioner check and tune-up was professional.

I gave the deal a "B" because...#1.we had leaking problems and #2 some things were not "explained fully"at installation. You should know that Falso (Service Experts) also installed the "old"furnace 18 years ago and maintained it annually for us(for a fee)....and based on prior experience their marketing guy (who came to the house...got the order that day..and I did not shop the deal with other Heating companies......

I had a great experience. They came right away.

We have a service contract which includes services performed. If something more is found, likely will be given an estimate for that repair. They always answer the phone and keep in tough more than enough.e

They were very professional. They were kind of expensive so I don't know if I would use them again. I didn't like the price.

Service The worst experience I ever had, the office staff and the technician.

Very thorough. Technician was very professional and explained everything to me. Prepaid through annual maintenance contract. They are the only Lennox authorized dealer in my area. Bought replacement Lennox furnace through them last year rated 92% efficient. Have not seen any noticeable savings in utility bills, though.

I had no complains. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. They took away the old furnace. The new furnace seems to be operating beautifully and it has cut down on our natural gas usage to the extent that National Grid reduced our budget payment. The furnace is 98% efficient. I have always been happy with them. We've lived in this house for over 40 years and we have always used them. They have competent technicians.

I cant begin to describe all my frustration with this company. I originally called them because I was having furnace issues that I thought were in part to my NEST Digital Thermostat. Service Experts was listed as a NEST Certified Installer. I figured this was easier than trying to use another HVAC company who had either never heard of NEST or never worked with it, and might blame the thermostat for my problems. The technician who arrived, while polite and courteous, had no idea what might be the issue with my furnace. He spent an hour there, and seemed to think changing some settings on the NEST had fixed the problems. He admitted he had never worked with NEST and this was his first time seeing it - despite me telling the clerk that took my original phone call that I had a NEST thermostat, and I had asked them to send someone knowledgable on it. While the technician was there, he convinced me to buy a service package for twice a year maintenance on the furnace and the central air. I figured it was a decent deal, and took it. A day later, the problems continued. The furnace would turn on and over constantly, while the burners would never fire. I called them back, and they redispatched the same technician. He was unable to diagnose the situation, and I suggested we call NEST technical support which walked him through the same troubleshooting that I had performed myself with NEST. He determined that I might need a Common Wire between the thermo and the furnace, despite NEST stating that this is not necessary, and recommended I schedule that service. At the same time he "diagnosed" that I had a bad primary control board in my furnace by using a multimeter on it. I agreed to order that part. A few hours later, he returned with the part, installed it, and nothing changed. I was still having this intermittent problem. He then suggested I keep the new board, because the old board "will eventually fail" and you might as well pre-replace this one. At $500 for the board, I told him no way. He then had to call his manager, and we negotiated me paying a service call fee of $120 instead of the $500 part. He left, and we never did solve the problem. A few days later, despite me paying for the service with my credit card, I received a bill in the mail, and had to call both the national Service Experts phone line, and the local office so we could "figure out" why I was being double charged. Eventually they credited my account for the double charge. The final straw was tonight, a few months later. My central air service had been scheduled for May 11th for months. I called this morning to confirm service for tomorrow. They confirmed. I left the house, and when I got home tonight, there was a voicemail on my phone from Service Experts apologizing, but they did not have a technician available tomorrow for my service, and I needed to call them back to reschedule. I plan on calling them when they open or Monday morning and canceling my service contract. Their repeated failures in customer service, and purely deceitful service is horrific. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Overall, they did perform the service, but it was sloppy from start to finish. For the prices they charge, I would expect a much higher level of service, such as we used to get when they were run by Falso.

Tech arrived on time, thoroughly checked my furnace, cleaned it, wrote out the bill, called in my charge card and left. Good experience.

They come every year to service. They come in the fall to service the heater and in the spring to service the air conditioner. They are wonderful. I will continue ti use them.

They were reliable. They were on time. They did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. Their prices were good. They followed up.

They come twice a year to provide maintenance services. I give them an "A" overall and I would use them again.

They do a good job as far as I know. They used to be an individual company and then they went to the Service Expert brand. Their paper work and notifications are just all messed up. The scheduling is messed up and I find it very annoying. You don't get that personal feeling you used to have. I will have a scheduled appointment and they still send reminder after reminder and I have called and complained to them about it. The last time the guy came around he went into bedrooms and opening shades and that really bothered me. Our air conditioning is outside and instead of going outside he started checking in the bedrooms to see it was working.

After the install they notified me that I did not have the electrical system to support the install. This engineering mistake (or incompetence) cost me dearly. I wish they had told me that my electrical system was insufficient before installing the heating and a/c units.

We are on there plan for this service.

They are very prompt. I like their work. Besides being prompt, they are concerned about everything. They take care of it all for me.

Don't trust most of the big heating contractors in the area. Stay with the small local companies.

They are expensive but they are worth it. The best part about this company is that they are very punctual and responsive.

Everything has gone well. Their work is fine and the furnaces are working okay.

The price was very high. They are more hard sell. They were polite and respectful.
