I contacted this company after first trying Isaac (I was not impressed with Isaac's efforts). I placed a call Monday morning at around 10 am. The two plumbers showed up at around 11:30 and were done within a couple of hours. They had a look at the old water tank and suggested a new one (the tank was about 12 years old and due for a replacement). They got a quote to remove the old tank and install the new tank and got the job done. I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the two guys who showed up to perform the work. There was no hard-sell or salesman talk. I really enjoyed my interaction with them and the company and will certainly make use of them for some additional work thatI have planned.

"Jamie" arrived on time, took an initial look and explained exactly what he was going to do, and wrote an estimate covering all of the possibilities. We agreed to go ahead, and he was done in less than 90 minutes. He did excellent, neat and professional work -- and in fact, we didn't even realize until after he'd left that he re-plumbed the kitchen sink to have the disposal drain separate from the other side of the sink -- so no more bubbling water! Possibly not the cheapest option (although we didn't do a thorough comparison) but they will now be our go-to plumbers whenever needed.

The faucet replacement went well. He explained to me how the device works and how to prevent damage from ice in the future. By the way, I had asked for a more expensive repair but he explained to me why it was really unnecessary. The toilet tank leak was fixed with a new stopper. But unfortunately he did not install everything correctly. I had to call him back because the tank would not completely empty when the toilet was flushed. The good part is that on the second trip I was not charged a "trip fee" even though I had him do some other work.

I contacted Penfield Plumbing for an estimate to run a water line to our new fridge. We setup a time, they showed up on time and were professional in their inspection on what needed to be done(we have some ductwork that was in the way). Their estimate was very high including a $40 travel fee which was silly considering we are 5 miles from their location. Ultimately, we hired a different plumber who did a great job for about a third of the price they quoted us at.

Very pleased with the service. He reviewed the setup of the basement pipes and determined the simplest way to proceed.

Service was excellent. I called about drain issue at 1pm and was told that a technician would be at my house in about 30 mins. At about 1:20pm, the technician called and notified me that it would be about another 30 mins and asked if that was okay. I really appreciated the call. I was not in a hurry, but the simple phone call to be sure I could wait goes a long way. He showed up shortly thereafter as promised and did a great job at fixing the drain and removing the clog. A pretty routine service, but the professionalism and quick response was outstanding. Also, he took the time to explain the issue and why/how it may have been caused and why/how it might have been avoided. He also made a recommendation that I look into replacing a part on my kitchen faucet as he saw that it had a slight leak at the pull out sprayer. He suggested I call the manufacturer and told me what to tell them to see if they might send me a replacement part. Nice that he would go the extra step at making suggestions to avoid future issues without my asking. The use of shoe covers and a floor protection sheet was much appreciated as well. All in all, by 3pm my drain was fixed and everything works great. I would definitely use Penfield Plumbing again. In fact, he remembered a job he did at my neighbors a couple years prior which further shows that they take pride in their work. Nice to get great service.

I called and they showed up on time. The young fellow was not sure on certain things. He said his boss would get back to me. After more than a week they e-mailed me a very high estimate. I got the work done from another source.

Excellent upfront advice, planning and follow through. Very high quality workmanship. Very professional and easy to work with. Kept master bathroom and areas leading up to it clean and neat. My experience with every member of their team was great. I'm very happy with the end result. Highly recommended !!

They were terrific. We came home to find out we had No hot water. The tank seemed fine. I called them and tried to explain as best as I could the problem. They got in contact with one of their techs and said he'd be there in 20 min. He found out what was wrong and did the repair ,everything was working fine again. This is the second time I've used them and they haven't let me down yet. Thanks again, John! They responded that quickly with all the water problems in the area, Thanks Penfield Plumbing!!

Over all it was a great experience. They showed up when they said they would, were professional, and answered all my questions. They were great! Will use again and recommend to anyone looking for a plumber.

They did an outstanding job especially since it was November and the weather was not helpful. They were very clear and precise about everything that needed to be done and the cost. I have and will continue to recommend them.

They again did a great job in making the repair. The pipe was in a difficult location but they had no problems with it. I will use them for any plumbing needs.

It was fine. My tub faucet was leaking. He came promptly and he fixed the leak in a timely fashion. He did alert me that it might be more problematic in the future, but the leak has been fully fixed.

New homeowner. Had a bad leak in a water heater that was less than two years old. John, the plumber from Penfield, looked at it and said the tank was defective and needed to be replaced and by the looks of the warranty it would be covered. Suggested I work with GE to rectify the problem. Said that if GE wouldn't rectify it Penfield would do the work. But check with GE first. He gave me an estimate of what the work at Penfield Plumbing would cost. Appreciated his honesty and frankness.

They were great. They are courteous, came quickly and had reasonable pricing.

Two men were here less than two hours, including the time they spent sitting in the truck before they came into my house. The actual plumbing part went smoothly. They did leave water standing in the bottom of my cabinet after disconnecting the the disposal and after waiting awhile, I had to soak it up myself so it would not delaminate my cabinet They were very sloppy with applying the sealer between the sink and the counter top. I was not pleased with their sealing job nor with the amount of sealer that was all over my counter top. They did spend a lot of time, only after I complained, trying to smooth out the sealer and cleaning the counter top. The man said that he would stay until I was satisfied with the job. After the sealer dried there are still small holes in the sealer in the front of the sink. No discounts were offered until I mentioned that I was an Angies' list member. They tried to charge me sales tax even though it was obviously a capital improvement. They apologized for that error and crossed it off of the bill. I have used Penfield Plumbing before, but this time I felt ripped off. .

It was like $200 because the water heater was still under warranty. So it was basically just their time. I didn't have to pay for a new water heater.

Initially the provider estimated the clog as being above floor level. The initial quote was under $200.00 which I thought was reasonable. He then told me the clog was lower and provided a new estimate in the $500 range. I knew I would not be able to find a provider with a better price because I was absolutely gouged by another provider for a far less complicated problem. The work was performed to my satisfaction and the worker explained to me what he had done. In hindsight, I wish I had asked for the copper piping he replaced with PVC. Overall, the work seems to have been done well, I was provided a quote and, although it was more cost than I expected, perhaps I had underestimated the extent of the problem. The only thing I was really unhappy with was the additional $40 service call charge. I can understand the charge if the provider had just come out and given me a quote that I did not pursue that very same day. Having agreed to the work on the spot, I felt it would have been a nice courtesy for them to have waived the service call charge. Agreeing to and paying for the work should have been enough. I was within a 10 mile radius of their business location, and $40 seemed excessive to me.

I contacted Penfield Plumbing about our basement drain pump. It died after many years of service and we needed it replaced, not terribly urgent, but sooner rather than later. Marcia was very gracious on the phone and scheduled us for 12/30/14 after 3:30pm. However, my husband stated he would be available earlier in the day than I could, so I called back and Marcia, again, was very kind and rescheduled us for 12/29/14 @ 3pm or after (same day I called). Jesse came to our home promptly at 3pm. He was courteous and professional. The job was done in less than 1.5 hours (including the warehouse bringing a new pump to our house). Jesse left the area clean and I was able to use the laundry facilities right away. We have used Penfield Plumbing twice this year, we have been extremely pleased with their service both times, we will continue to use their service for our plumbing needs.

Ran a camera to confirm a blockage in line running from home to street sanitary sewer. Removed blockage. Cleaned work area. Repaired toilet. Professional, courteous & timely.

Arrived right on time. Adapted to what needed to be done with no hassels. All the extra needed parts were in stock on their truck. They finished when expected. Professional and competent as usual. We have used them before and have always been pleased.

It went as well as can be expected. It was raining and the ground was saturated,so it was a muddy mess. They were here all day working on this problem,in the rain and nasty conditions. The gas line wasn't very far from the water line,so they had to be really careful. Anthony was the one who came out to look at the problem and he was the one who dug the trench.He was so careful,it was amazing to watch how he works with that digger. The other man who was with him was very nice. They both tried really hard not to make to much of a mess,but the weather would not cooperate. They did their best considering what they had to deal with all day. I would call them in a heartbeat, they contacted me promptly and were out the next day to a**** the situation.
