Description of Work: Installed bathtub & shower valves, tune & install pressure regulator.

Description of Work: My wife was displeased with the toilets in the two full bathrooms and the rate of draining in one of the sinks. The plumber thoroughly tested the toilets, making note that the internal systems were relatively new (replaced last year). He could not find a flushing problem. It appears that my wife was not pushing the lever down far enough. With no need to fix the toilets, the plumber concentrated on the sink drain. It certainly needed unplugging, which he performed quickly. Now the drain clears well. The cost was for a service call.

Description of Work: They refused to come out on a weekend. I called someone who would. When you have water dripping through your basement ceiling, and a plumber won't work on a weekend, it speaks volumes about how little that plumber wants your business.

Description of Work: Ran a gas line to my stove.

Description of Work: After experiencing a slow drainage problem, I snaked out the line and found no obstructions. Assumed it was a venting problem, which we had had before and thought a different plumber had solved it with an autovent. Called this company. Rob appeared within 30 minutes. I related the history and my assumptions of the problem. He didn't take my word for it, which I feel was a good thing. Thoroughly checked and found the autovent had been installed improperly and was not working. Replaced it. Since my snake showed a lot of "crud," he wanted to use his motorized snake to give the line a thorough cleaning. I felt that was reasonable, so let him do it. No more slow drain.

Description of Work: replaced hot water tank, installed new valve. Did the job in two hours as promised.

Description of Work: They had to remove my toilet to access the sewer line from the house. They did that without any issues and then used the camera to figure out where and what the problem was. Gave me a choice of fixing the immediate problem or having to excavate outside the house for a permanent fix. I chose the easier fix, with the knowledge that I will eventually have to do the latter. They were not pushy or trying to talk me into anything, just giving me the factual information. They did a great job, were very professional, and respectful of my house. I will definitely call them in the future when I decide to do the "permanent" fix.

Description of Work: They installed two new high rise toilets, a grab bar, a new hot water tank, and a new main water shut-off valve. Everything went great. We have used Penfield Plumbing before and they are our first choice when we have plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Assessment of the problem and resealed all sources of septic leakage from the pump area. Was able to complete work in approximately 3 hours time.

Description of Work: I called about backed-up plumbing. They sent out an inexperienced plumber who replaced an $11 part and didn't investigate the backup. I had to call another plumber to get this resolved.

Description of Work: The plumber, Jamie, called and asked if he could come a little early, as he was ahead of schedule. I have never had that happen before, but sure. He did an upgrade of my sink system that was maybe sixty years old. He showed me the parts he took out. Good call. He had all the parts he needed with him. He wore booties in my house. He cleaned up after himself beautifully. He told me that something I thought might need an expensive fix was really fine and to leave it alone. The price did not have a service call drop rate. That is, he explained that the total price was the time and cost of the repair. I was pleasantly astonished.
