Efficient and outstanding job - from time order when it, to setting appointment for quick installation, to installer being very qualified and final installation was perfect. Best work in a timely manner we have had done by a plumbing company.

When I made the appointment the manager said there was no trip charge. I would be given an estimate for the work performed. I could accept or reject the estimate. The plumber tells me that there is a $45 trip charge. If I was,desperate to have my toilet repaired I would have told the plumber that the service manager lied to me. DO not hire a company that lies to you.

Jamie arrived within hours of my call, earlier than stated (they called first), assessed the situation, drew up a reasonable estimate, and did the work in short order. I was tremendously grateful for the swift response, as the leak had gone undetected for awhile so we had a lot of clean-up to do.

My daughter was washing dishes with her sink full of water when it started leaking underneath the sink into the cabinet and into the basement. It was Friday afternoon and I was worried about finding a plumber who could come right away. This past summer I had used Penfield Plumbing for the replacement of the waste line from the house to the sidewalk and was impressed with them so called their office. They had a plumber available and he came right out and took care of the situation. I have now have had both Anthony and Jesse do work at her house and they are professional, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I am very happy with Penfield Plumbing and feel confident their employees are top notch and highly recommend them.

We called several plumbers but everyone told us no way to do same day service. Then we called penfield plumbing. The woman on the phone was so nice and assured us that someone could come out that day and help us. They arrived on time and got straight to work fixing the problem. In a little over an hour they had us up and running again. Thanks so much for everything. It's really things like this that will keep us coming back for years to come.

Called Penfield Plumbing on a Friday morning. Office was very understanding of problem and worked to fit in a service call for the same day. Technician arrived mid-morning, gave clear estimate of work that needed to be done and what it would cost. Work was completed timely and professionally. Used mats to protect floors, finished work promptly. I like that the company provides a no-charge estimate before work is started and a guarantee on both the water heater and the workmanship.

Rob the service technician came first appointment, assessed the problem, informed us of problems with the old venting which would need brought to code, and also our homes lack of water pressure regulator which was allowing very high pressure to destroy faucets and appliances. He corrected ALL of the problems, water heater, Venting and old and non compliant water main connection. This was done very efficiently and professionally, and Rob was very considerate and great to work with.

They did a fine job in 3 days I had water from the water line into the house. I give A grade of A. They also had to seal the old well which was in the basement.

My daughter needed the sewer line from her house to the sidewalk replaced due to a blocked sagging line. I had excellent feedback from a neighbor who investigated companies and hired Penfield Plumbing to replace his sewer line, so I called the company. Anthony Scotchmer came to the house to assess our situation. He was very thorough in his investigation and explanations of the problems he found. He did research and found that Pure Waters is responsible for the lines from the sidewalk to the connection at the main line in the road, which saved us quite bit of money. He contacted Pure Waters and made all the arrangements involved for their part of the line replacement. Anthony was part of the crew and he took a video of the moment the old line was cut showing the water flow from the two sections of line to document the need for Pure Waters to come and do their part of the job. We are very happy with the company from the people who answer the phone along with follow through with any questions and requests to the quality of the people who did the work. I feel we have found a reliable and honest company with top notch employees we will be able to depend on for all our future plumbing needs.

Drain has been running slowly for a very long time. It was easy to set an appt. and repair pro was here when promised. He assessed the situation, explained the risks of damage due to the age of galvanized pipe, and gave me an estimate before proceeding. He took his time, making sure that I was able to make an informed decision.He cleaned up afterwards, and explained the final status. He also gave me advice for other small problems, without any pressure for additional services. Very polite and professional throughout. I thought the price was fair and appreciated the Angie's List discount. This is the second time I have used PP, and will do so again. Thank you!

I had an estimate and needed the results in a timely manner to begin a large basement bathroom installation project. Because Penfield Plumbing rated so well on Angie's List - and frankly, I have never been disappointed with an "A" rated member- I was expecting prompt and professional service. Wrong this time- the estimate never came in because apparently the service manager was out of the office. I should have been promptly notified of this matter. Next, a week later I called and was informed I would be receiving the estimate via email. Did not happen. Two days later,after another series of phone calls I still had not received the estimate and found out the customer service representative had written my email address incorrectly. Mind you- I wrote my email address down for the man who came in to begin the estimate myself. The quote finally came in and was $8300.00 compared to $4500.00 from a reputable smaller company that was recommended to me by my contractor. Needless to say...I will not be using Penfield Plumbing- nor will I recommend this company to anyone who is in need of this service.

Although the price tag was a little hard to swallow at first, I am very grateful that I had Penfield Plumbing complete this work. I no longer have to worry about my family room flooding when it rains. I have had problems on and off for years, and this year I had a major flood with 2 inches of standing water in my downstairs, which was sadly on the back of a house fire. Penfield Plumbing worked with me and was understanding throughout the process. They rescheduled their initial dig date to allow the town time to make repairs to their end of the system. After many discussions, they gave me two quotes, so I would have a firm grasp of what the ultimate cost of the repair might be: one for a patch repair if feasible, one for a system renewal if patch repair was unlikely to completely resolve my problem. I ended up needing to commit to the system renewal, but it was a great value for what they did. An additional $700 replaced the entire system, removing the old, damaged pipes. Anthony, who was in charge of the excavation, was terrific. He was knowledgeable and approachable. He explained the process to me and how best to repair my lawn after the excavation. He also showed me the damaged pipes that were removed; I was very glad that they replaced them...what a mess. I cannot say enough for how relieved I am to know that the entire system is in good working order. Rain doesn't scare me anymore. I also managed to overpay by $2, and Penfield Plumbing promptly returned my $2 with a note. There is no surprise why this company has been in business over 30 years.

I phoned four times for the estimate with absolutely no response. I'm disgusted and will certainly let friends and family know. It has been four weeks now.

Arrived on time. Did the work. Cleaned up nicely afterwards. Was here about an hour plus. My only complaint was the pricing -but the job got done. Noticed I paid almost a much for the diverter as I did for the cartridge although there is a lot of common labor for the two. Maybe should have only charged for the diverter valve and not all the labor for a stand alone job.

Very helpful pre-visit diagnostics over the phone prior coming out. Came out the same day and installed a new hot water heater, removed heavy 15 yr old unit that was not properly maintained.

It was an outstanding experience. Robert did a great job both installing and explaining my options. Originally, I just wanted the immediate leak problems repaired but Robert showed me some problems that were not obvious to me but represented much bigger problems should I not address them now. This is a 1952 house and replacements are definitely needed.

In my opinion everything went well, Penfield was easy to work with scheduling wise and showed up on time both times. The price I listed as approximate cost was for all of the work in both 2014 and 2015. I think it was fair and reasonable considering the scope of work. Would definitely recommend to others for plumbing needs.

Appointment proceeded exactly as expected. Provider worked quickly and with professional focus. Answered questions and was willing to explain further if I didn't understand. I was surprised at the price, but the last time I purchased a water heater was 18 years ago, so I wasn't up-to-date on costs. The water heater manufacturer's guarantee covered parts for five years. Most plumbing firms guarantee labor for one year but Penfield Plumbing covers labor for five years.
