I have used Penfield Plumbing several times since I purchased a home here in Rochester and on each encounter, I have been beyond satisfied. I have owned homes in other areas, have always relied on professional services for home repairs and improvements. I can honestly say the relationship with this company has exceeded any in the past. I have dealt primarily with Alex for the issues with my property and his level of professionalism, knowledge, and integrity has made me a loyal fan of this company. I am always educated on the job that I have requested, and NEVER encouraged to do more than what is required to keep my plumbing system sound. His customer service skills are simply exceptional. My initial contact with Penfield was with a plumber John, and he too was professional and thorough with his work.I will continue to use this company without hesitation for any future plumbing needs.

I ripped out old counters and plumbing, new granite counters were delivered but were cut wrong. So I needed to reschedule the plumbing job pushing back by one day. Penfield Plumbing was able to meet my timing requirements, and arrived on time, provided a cost before starting, and then did an excellent and professional job. The new sink is under the counter and deeper, so the drain configuration for the previous sink was not going to line up. The new configuration is much better, looks professional and we are very happy to have it done without the usual 5 trips to the home store associated with the do-it-yourself plumbing job. Especially important for us as we were hosting out of town guests the next day for a graduation party. We certainly would use Penfield Plumbing again. My only reservation is that the price was higher than I expected it would be, but for a job done on time, right the first time and done to last I think it was worth it.

Penfield Plumbing was good. They were prompt, informative and they fixed the problem. They're a lot more knowledgeable than anybody else.

I used Them last March. It went great. They'd had a leaky play with. They were going to fix it but they didn't came on time. They tried to replicate the problem in many different ways but they couldn't. They did have a service fee for coming out but He actually didn't charge me so I felt it was very nice.

The guys were great. They were straightforward. They know what they were saying. They got the job done. It was not expensive. They were friendly and professional.

They were very good. They did a tremendous job. They were prompt and professional. I thought that their price was on the high five. I was fine with their professionalism and quality of work.

the receptionist was polite and courtoeus. Prompt with her service to find me a date. She offered me a time right at that moment- but i could not take it-so we moved it two days out. The service was excellent. prompt, quick, and thorough. I felt the technician knew the job forward and backward and was explaining it as he went. I have had no problems with the dishwasher leak since.

Wonderful job, completely replacing original copper plumbing (toilet, sink) from 1929 with new PVC. Because of age of house, the original plumbing was in concrete, and once Brandon started the job he realized he would need to run the new plumbing very differently. He ended up capping off the old plumbing (which ran through the floor below the bathroom), and running the new plumbing through the wall in the foyer as they do in new houses today. This ended up being a bigger job than expected, but Penfield honored the original price and had a second person come to help, and they still completed the job in one day. The water now runs beautifully, without clogging at all in the 6 months since the work was done (before it clogged every few weeks, and more frequently just before replacement). Brandon was very professional and helpful, and worked hard to get the job done in a high-quality way. He did a great job cleaning up at the end.

They were prompt and responsive to my request. They did the job for the quoted price and did a fast and clean job The workman was professional and willing to answer questions. Happy with work performed

We had a leak through our garage ceiling that persisted after we had the roof replaced. Elliott Voleshen came out from Penfield Plumbing to check the upstairs bathroom. Initial inspection of the toilet showed nothing. Neither did the sink or shower. Elliott then removed the toilet from the floor and found a cracked flange. He provided two options and priced them both out. We opted for the permanent option. Work was completed faster & for less money than we had anticipated. I had taken a day off from work. Elliott phoned ahead to say he would be there in 10 minutes (yes), made sure I understood both options offered, cleaned up completely after his work was done & removed all the debris.

I called Penfield Plumbing after my regular plumber failed to return my call. I think I called on a friday and they arranged an appointment for the following wednesday. A few minutes later they called back to say they could come on monday, which they did. Our house is 80+ years old and we've had continuous problems with our kitchen sink, basement utility sink, and washer. We've had to call a plumber to clear out the drain about once per year for maybe 4 years in a row. It was time to fix it for real. Elliot came out to do the proposal. He offered two options: 1) do a very thorough job clearing out the drain pipe by replacing a smaller 1-1/2"" cleanout with a larger 2" cleanout and clean the drain. and 2) abandon the underslab drain. We elected to go with option 2 based on the assumption that there was indeed a crack in the underslab drain. Elliot was able to come back and perform the work just two days later. We had asked that he call when he was on his way, which he did. He arrived in the timeframe that they had promised. Our kids were asleep when he arrived, and he was very accommodating. He warned us that it might be loud at times and tried to work around our sleeping kids, which was very considerate. The work took about 3 hours, after which Elliot took me down and discussed the work with me. It looked great (to my untrained eye). More importantly, all of our drains were working better than they have worked since we've been in the house. Elliot left our basement cleaner than when he arrived, which impressed me because the plumber that we had used previously hadn't always done so. He made sure to check that we were completely satisfied with he work before he left. Overall I was pleased with the great customer service that I received from everyone at Penfield Plumbing. Note that I did not rate the price - this is because I didn't take the time to get any other estimates. I have a feeling that I could have found a lower price, but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. I will use Penfield Plumbing the next time I have plumbing needs. I will also recommend them to anyone looking for a good plumber.

Poor, the estimate for just labor was far too expensive for us.

Excellent customer service. On time, professional.

I discovered that the sump pump had failed and the basement was flooded. I called Penfield Plumbing after seeing their reviews on Angie's List. They were at the house in less than an hour and replaced the sump pump quickly and professionally. I would definitely use them again!!

It went excellent. They were in and out in no time. repaired a leak and installed an additional shut-off to insure the same problem could not happen again.

It was a great expirence overall.

Service man showed up on time. Discussed that I wanted quarter turn shut off valves. Service man notified me that existing valves were soldered in place and he had to cut the copper lines beneath the valves. He installed new valves and reconnected the hot and cold service lines to the faucet and sprayer with new flex connectors. What was good about the company was the service man was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and was able to repair the valves within two days after my call..

The plumbing is all screwed up. They used several subcontractors who did terrible work. For example, when I turned on the outside water faucets to the garden hoses I got hot water, and when I turned on the dishwasher I got cold water. When I traced the work they had done I found they had daisy chained the hot water pipes instead of teeing them. I caught one worker cutting through the main support beam in the house just so he could have an easier time installing a pipe. I wouldn't hire Penfield Plumbing to do anything.

They did a good job. It was a little expensive but it was worth it because I was in a bundle.

Good experience - easy to contact and schedule. Arrived perfectly on time which is a big plus for me. Turned out to be a pretty simple problem to fix - actually looking back we should have been able to figure it out ourselves. Took them 5 minutes to fix by just removing the shower head and cleaning out the build up. They did answer a couple other questions I had while they were there. Easy to schedule, very prompt. My only complaint was that I wasn't notified of the $40 fee on top of the services when I scheduled - however I was aware of it before I called but only because of reading the AL reviews. So it seemed rather pricey overall considering they were at my house for all of 15 minutes total.

They are reliable. The cost is in line. The only thing I would have preferred that was something that I didn't discover until afterwards that I could have repaired and I wished that they have pointed that out to me. I have used them in the past and I would use them in the future.

It was a confusing problem which stumped me. I have done simple plumbing before. Elliot arrived and within a half hour had figured it out and generated an estimate to remedy. He did give me the option of replacing the cartridge, if one of us could find it. Of course, he would have to be paid for his time to do that. The actual replacement was a difficult , physical job. He did it, without any major issues. Very happy with the service, quality and response & professionalism. I would definitely use them again.

When we went to turn off the water supply to the outside faucets we noticed that the water supply for our upstairs bathroom was coming off of the same line as the water supply line for the outside water lines so we were unable to turn those off for the winter without shutting off the water to the bathroom. He moved the pipe for the bathroom onto an interior line and added a drain spout for the outside line so that we could assure it would be empty for the winter freeze. It went great. I called and they offered me an appointment for the following day. They were on time, friendly, and efficient. He took the time to explain different options to fix the problem and the associated costs with each. In the end his recommendation was to chose the more simple and less expensive way of fixing our problem.

We had an odor and we could not get rid of it. So I was referred to Penfield plumbing. They were very prompt and came that day and the receptionist I spoke was very pleasent.. He thought it was caused by the trap under the kitchen sink and he didn't have the part and had to ask a question about the part. Said he would call within the next couple days but then I didn't hear from him for a couple weeks so I called and after I called he did come that day with the part. Explained that they weren't going to work on manufactured homes anymore so he went ahead and put the new trap piece in and I paid him and he left. . I thought they were reasonably priced but I don't feel I should have to contact a company after they have promised m they will call back. That is bad customer service. I am probably a little fussy about CS because that is what I worked in for 30 years. I probably would try them again to be fair and see if the second experience worked out ok. I expect they are exceptional plumbers and I just didn't feel this time was handled well.
