I had drawn a thumbnail illustration of what I wanted and they followed it perfectly. The owner was on site the entire time and double-checked to make sure he understood everything that I was looking for. The workers were highly skilled, worked quickly, and did a great job. They cleaned up the worksite so that there was little trace that work had just been done. Now I can fit four cars on the driveway and the improvement adds curb appeal to the house.

Joe provided the estimate and details of the job. The wait time from estimate to job was about 3.5 weeks (They have plenty of work) . Dan and the crew arrived punctually at the time scheduled. The friendly crew was great and showed experience in the extreme. The job site was left clean. Dan was present at all times to supervise the work and answer questions. Overall, I only wish that they had done my previous job. The only issue I have had is that the "weave" into the previous paver patio was imperfect , and the laid pattern looks slightly different. It should be said that I can't imagine anyone doing the match any better than they did under the circumstances. I would not hesitate to recommend Pitti Bros to anyone.

Initially, we met with Joe Pitti and just wanted a new concrete path and steps with lined with bricks. A subsequent visit from Joe at our request was to do more work than we originally intended. We decided to replace a cement wall and replace the cement steps with granite steps. The risers were to be Artic stone. Pitti Brothers did the work exactly when they said they would, Their work was done a a workmanlike manner. They cleaned up each day after they finished working. The end result was beautiful. We incorporated their suggestions and greatly appreciated the quality, honesty and craftsmanlike attention to detail.

Everything went well except the final step. Someone was suppose to come back the next day (Saturday) to fill in the stones with sand. On Monday I had to call and ask where the person with the sand was-he came back that afternoon.

The front of our house faces north so we get very little sun and winter weather really takes a toll. The front steps were crumbling and they were an eyesore and a potential safety issue. I contacted five providers with excellent reviews on Angie's List and received estimates from four. Pitti Bros. gave the second lowest estimate but I paid a little more because Joe answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. We had a continual problem with water collecting where the walk met the driveway. Joe said he would correct the pitch so that water would flow away. I thought we might need a drywell in the driveway to absorb the excess water but he said it was not necessary. I also wanted them to be very careful not to encroach on my neighbor's property because the property line is on an angle. I also wanted them to be aware of where our cesspool was located so they did not place paving stones for the walkway over the cesspool cap. Each concern I had seems to have been addressed. Water seems to flow down the driveway, they laid the driveway on our property, and Joe;s brother assured me they did not get too close to the cesspool. Joe also gave me very good advice when he told me to look in person at the Cambridge Paving Stones I was considering. He said you do not get an accurate idea of what the stones look like from the glossy pictures in the Cambridge catalog, which is absolutely true; they look a lot brighter and deeper in color in the book than they actually are. I changed my selection after I saw the real stones. There was a few weeks' gap between the laying of the front steps and walkway (7-30-14) and the driveway paving (9-12-14). They have to wait I think two weeks anyway but this was additional time. It really didn't matter to us but it might matter to others so you may want to clarify that for yourself ahead of time. We did have a minor problem with existing front curbing after the first phase of the job was finished. I emailed Joe and he came the next day to see. He said they would repair the curb when they came back to pave the driveway and they did- and it was expertly done. Everything looks really nice now and I know it enhances the value of our property, I would recommend Pitti Bros. without reservation.

He came and did the work when I was out of town. The owner was so responsive and did such a great job with the repairs that I needed. He did exactly what he said he would do, and I am so pleased with the experience I had!

The crew was punctual and professional. The work was done well. Only 2 days and everything was done as promised, and workers left the site clean. Would recommend these guys.

We were having a graduation party for a relative at the end of June, but our backyard deck was rotted out. We called Pitti Bros. to get a quote for replacing the deck with a concrete patio. Joe Pitti came to our house on June 6th. He took measurements of our deck area and was about to price it out when my wife also inquired about putting a concrete slab where our shed used to be. Finally, we inquired about putting a step in front of our patio door using coble stones we pulled from our yard. The one thing we felt was most important was having the work done in time for the party. Joe assured us that the work could be done in a day to give the concrete several days to cure. All we needed to give him was a $50 deposit. We did the demo and removal of the deck ourselves, but were told not to worry about the patio stones underneath. The day before they were scheduled to show up, my wife called and asked if we could increase the width of the step from 4 to 8 feet before building and we were told it wouldn't be a problem. On June 24th, Dave Pitti and his crew arrived that morning to get started. Within the first 2 hours they had the old deck area dug out and stacked up all of the old patio stones for us (we saved them in case we wanted to use them down the road). By the afternoon they had both areas formed up and ready for the cement. After the cement was delivered they got to work filling it up both areas and constructing the step with a bluestone tread. By 3pm they were all done. Dave gave us instructions on how to help cure the concrete before our party that weekend. Our party went off without a hitch. Everybody loved the new patio and used the shed slab as a dance floor! Pitti Brothers did an amazing job for us and honored their word of getting it done when they said they would. Can't thank them enough for their services and will definitely use them again.

Mr. Pitti spent time with us as well to explain to us how to maintain our Pavers and blue stone.

When the original work was done (Sept., 2013), the crew arrived promptly and the job was completed in 2 days, as promised. Upon completion, the driveway looked gorgeous, as I stated in a previous favorable review in March, 2014. Some issues arose later (probably as a result of the very bad winter weather we had), leading to a more negative update of that review on July 5, 2014. I am now replacing the July 5th review for two reasons: 1) A MISUNDERSTANDING: Because I had originally been pleased, and was reluctant to write a negative update, I first sent an e-mail directly to Pitti Bros. through their personal website to resolve directly with them some problems that had arisen later on (probably as a result of the bad winter). When I hadn't heard back from them after a week, I contacted Angie's List for suggestions. They said I needed to first update my first (favorable) review, and give a grade of at least "C" so their Complaint Resolution section could intervene and act as mediator. I told Angie's List that before doing that, I would give Pitti Bros. more time to respond, since they had been responsive before. Another week or so went by and I still heard nothing, so thinking they were ignoring me and the problems, I then updated the review and Angie's List helped by contacting them. I just learned on Aug. 17th that Pitti Bros. never saw my e-mail, because since joining Angie's List, they only check those e-mails (which they are alerted to). Joe Pitti visited me today and said that had I phoned him or sent an e-mail through Angie's List, he would have responded immediately, as he really had done in the past. Meanwhile, I had assumed he would definitely receive an e-mail sent through his personal website. So that was an unfortunate misunderstanding, which led to the negative review update and Angie's List intervention. 2) PROBLEMS RESOLUTIONS: When Joe Pitti was here on Aug. 17, he spent a lot of time explaining and showing me why water was getting into the garage and why he believes it is not a result of the masonry work. His explanation made sense. Despite that, he offered to caulk with silicone under the siding where it meets the concrete, at no additional cost to me, which I felt was more than fair. Regarding the crack: While consulting other experts, I learned that no one can guarantee that concrete won't crack. Joe offered to patch it (also at no charge), but suggested we wait to see if it has stabilized, because excavating it and filling it would look worse (also confirmed by other consulted companies). He said that if the crack remains stable, especially through the winter, it would not deteriorate further. I guess only time will tell, but If it does increase in size, he would then immediately excavate it and fill it, also at no additional cost. Regarding the patch job of the front sidewalk and end of my front path (which was a temporary fix they had done at no charge): Since the cement didn't hold, Joe offered to now fully remove and replace the three complete flags involved, at no new charge. I felt that was very generous. Aside from these problems, which developed later after a horrible winter, the cement work still looks beautiful. Joe & Dan couldn't have been more gracious . Most importantly, I have renewed faith in Pitti Bros. and their work. He is honest and has integrity, which is very important, and has shown he stands by his work and is willing to resolve any issues. Addition: My biggest surprise came this morning (the next day, Aug. 18, 2014) when a Pitti Bros.crew arrived to do the work! That was faster than I ever expected. Really amazing! I would definitely recommend Pitti Bros.

I couldn't be happier with the work the Pitti Brothers did! Joe Pitti came to my home to give me a quote (the only contractor to give me a quote in writing detailing all work to be done) He also gave me great ideas for how stoop should look decreasing from 7 steps I had to 5. The job started and completed exactly when they promised all for the quoted price and Steve Pitti was on site almost the entire time. The quality of work is excellent and has dramatically improved the overall curb appeal of our home! I would recommend the Pitti Brothers to anyone looking for masonry work on their home and will definitely use them again for any future needs!

They did a good job. I would definitely recommend them. They were very professional, very prompt, and very neat. They cleaned up after and no one would even that know they were there. They said that they could do the job and they did it without any problems. They were able to put the whole thing together and make it look brand new again. They took the time to do the job right, which is another thing. What they did for us would be considered a very small job and most places wouldn't even touch it. They were good enough that they would do a small job.

They were fine. They came in and were very co-operative, and fixed what they had to. It was a few thousand dollars for doing the whole walkway. They were very busy and it took them a while to get back to us. Once they did, they worked quickly and the final product turned out well. It took them a while but they did come back. Their price was competitive and their professionalism was fine. We would surely use them again in the future.

They did everything they promised. The work was excellent. The owner stayed on site almost the entire time the work was performed. Beautiful job and it came out exactly as promised and for the price stated

They seemed very efficient and they were good with communication. I can't judge the price at this point because I only have gotten one so it's hard to say with that, but it seemed very responsible. Their responsiveness was excellent.

I spoke with Joe earlier this week to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I was asked to text him my address, which he did not receive. When I called him back to confirm, he already scheduled another job during our previously agreed upon appointment time.

Today, 9/6/14 After talking with Mr. Joe Pitti a month ago about nothing of his doing he had a crew come over to repair the Belgin Block I rubbed against with my trucks front tire pushing it away. His crew came today and restored it to its previous position. I would and plan on using Pitti Bros. again in the future.

This work was done at my parents' house in Brentwood. I found them on Angie's list and told my sister, who called them for an estimate. She was very happy with the estimate and we agreed to schedule the work. They were wonderful. All of the workmen were polite and obviously knew what they were doing. We had never originally intended on doing the amount of work that was done. But......the cost was extremely reasonable, and the house looks so nice now. They were very nice to deal with and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Everytime I leave my home or walk into my backyard I'm reminded of the great job this company did on our house. Hiring Pitti Bros was part of a major home renovation. Using them was the best decision of the whole project. They installed pavers in our entire backyard (around a newly installed in-ground pool), front entrance and driveway. There were some challenges (various grade heights) that other companies that gave us quotes weren't exactly clear about how they would handle. Dan Pitti explained exactly how they'd address the issues. We made a last minute change that they were able to execute. Also, they moved up our project a week ahead of schedule when our other contractors finished early and finally they did the whole project in 6 days! Joe and Dan have an old-school work ethic that's rare now-a-days. Don't hesitate to hire these guys!

I ultimately wound up not choosing this provider due to timing issues. That being said they were courteous, thorough, and patient. Solid communicators and worth speaking to.

The job was done very well. There was a small problem and when I contacted Joe Pitti he responded promptly and sent workers out to correct the problem. I am very satisfied.

I wouldn't use him if he was the only mason around

It did not go well for the reason stated above II never asked for an estimate to have our driveway re-sealed. I distinctly asked for an estimate to have our asphalt driveway re-done - I even said part of it was concrete and we wanted to have the entire driveway black-topped. You stated that it is hard to get asphalt as there is only 1 company that supplies it in the area. Any way I contracted with another company who was willing to come and give an estimate.

We were extremely pleased with the work they did and intend on using them in the future. They were on time and completed the job in a professional manner. They even pulled out a bush that required considable effort at no additional charge. We have received numerous compliments on our new stoop.

Owner is very pleasant. $500/season.
