Pitti Brothers Masons

On March 15, 2020, I hired Pitti Brothers Masons to build a backyard patio out of brick pavers. This my second time using this company. During my estimate, owner Danny Pitti, was very professional and gave me a fair price. The patio is beautiful, his workers exceptionly neat and clean. I would highly reccomened Pitti Brothers Masons.

DO NOT CONTRACT WITH PITTI BROTHERS FOR ANY WORK!! We had two previous contractors who told us our stoop should be taken down and rebuilt. Joe Pitti said we didn’t have to tear it down, they would fix it putting cultured stone over existing stoop and it would not crack. Our original stoop had a terrible crack in it. We thought this sounded good since we know with settling things tend to crack and we felt by not taking the entire stoop down, we wouldn’t have to worry about a settling problem. Joe also promised me a flower bed that his brother Danny didn’t deliver. They redid our stoop with cultured stones, did our walkways with pavers and our driveway with pavers and concrete. We were happy with the walkways and driveway although I had to have them correct a line that was totally crooked. Joe said I could have a rounded flower bed, but Danny said it wouldn’t work and that I would be very happy with the flower bed they created. I’m not! About two months after the job was finished (in January) the cultured stones on the stoop where the original crack was showed signs of cracking. We called Pitti Brothers spoke to Joe and he told us they don’t start working again until March. Sounded reasonable. They came and fixed the stones in May while we were not home. They cut the stones (this should never be done) and used grout to cover where the cracks were. We complained about this and the effervescent that was happening. They said they would come back to look at it, but couldn’t guarantee it would be while we were home. Joe came by didn’t see anything wrong and said they would leave a bottle of cleaner for us. They did leave the cleaner but again came when we were not home and tried to clean the stones. This time they dripped the cleaner on our pavers, staining them. We found out this was a product not to be used on pavers since it was caustic. Again we called and spoke to Joe not being as patient as we had been. He would not agree to come back when we were home to look at the job. This was unacceptable to us! They have never attempted to call us again ..we have submitted a Consumer Complaint in Nassau County.

We were given a fair quote. They were able to accommodate some last minute changes in material and design. They were very pleasant to work with and responsive to concerns. We are very happy with the finished product.

Dan Pitti provided advice on materials & design at a very fair price. I chose bluestone steps with pavers. The work was promptly scheduled & took two days. His foreman Michael led a crew of mason perfectionists. They measured & cut the pavers precisely. They cleaned up afterwards and left no dust. Very pleased.

They did a fabulous job. I was very happy with the results.

Work was started and completed on time and as promised. Crew left the property as neat as possible during the job and immaculate upon completion. Workmanship is excellent. Recommended them to many neighbors and friends.

Danny who is Joe's brother came the day they were suppose to come and started work on the driveway. Danny's crew were very professional and knowledgeable. They performed all work as discussed with Joe. Danny answered all my questions and concerns. The job came out looking great. I would definitely hire Petti Bros. again.

The job went very well. The team showed up on the day and time they said they would and at the end of each day they tidied up after themselves.

Initially the project went well with a timely installation of an attractive driveway. Unfortunately it did not hold up to the winter weather. Sections of the driveway rose and fell during the cold winter weather creating tripping hazards. Several decorative concrete paving blocks cracked and broke off sections. Some surfaces of the concrete driveway deteriorated due to road salt contamination from car tires no melting compounds were used at anytime on the driveway. A half dozen calls were placed to Pitti Bros, but only one response "call back in the spring". I followed up in the spring, but no response.

Called twice no call back. Called 3rd time and received a call back 3 days later. Explained job to owner and set up appt for last Friday and the owner never showed up. I called to ask if he was coming and never received a call back

This is the second time we've used this company, and I can't say enough good things about them. Pitti Bros. quoted a very fair price, much much lower than several competitors. The team arrived when scheduled and did first rate work. They repaired our patio, door sills and reset walkway bricks which was raised by a tree root. We are totally satisfied - this is a first rate contractor.

Everything went fine until it rained following completion. Part of the back and side flooded. We had a small pond in the back. Mr. Pitti returned and said I needed more earth to raise up the lawn to meet the stone work. My landscaper came over and said that would not help. We need to install dry wells at a cost of $2,000! I feel duped!

Pitti brothers give me a very fair price was very responsive and did a beautiful job. They came in timely to do some demo work so my deck could be built before the pavers were put down. They showed up on time on the day promised and did my patio in one full long day.

I couldn't be happier. The quality of the workmanship, the dedication to going above and beyond to improve the job, the work crew, etc. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled. Would give them my top recommendation.

excellent .. had a quote the same day i requested ..work was scheduled and preformed sooner then expected. one of the owners was in & out to check on the work and crew..

Great. One of the principals came within a few days of my initial call and gave me an estimate. He was very pleasant and answered all my questions. I guess the estimate was reasonable -- what do I know about cement work? We scheduled a date for the work to be completed. They called me to say another job had been cancelled and they could do the work next week. Fine. They came when they said they would and did a fine job. I paid them in full. No problems, even several years later. I don't remember what it cost, or the exact date of the service.

They did excellent work. Everything looks beautiful. They were on time and professional and removed all the debris.

Very fair price. Owner and workers were very punctual, finished all work on time, workers cleaned up after themselves when they left the job site and did some extras. Owner inspected all work as it progressed. Minor issues where promptly corrected.

Excellent. Joe was a pleasure to deal with. He sent us to the supplier to select the brick for our job and he took care of the rest. The work was performed on time and they left our yard clean and orderly. I would definitely hire Pitti Brothers for my next masonry project.

Pitti Brothers showed up on time with 5 men and got the job done in a day and half. Cleaned up the area; took patience when explaining job. Recommend them!!!!!

I called several times, I sock to Joe Pitti once, explained what I wanted and he said he would stop by in the next few days. He never did, never called me after I called to see when he was stopping by.
