Description of Work: Very expensive even though the service was performed well.

Description of Work: They were professional and on time. The prices they were charging to change a chain in the tank was 286.00. The chain is on-line at Home Depot for 7.99. I was told they could do the job on site if I uploaded pictures and video , so I did. When he arrived he did not see the pictures or video and didn't have my parts. The cost to rebuild the faucet was 486.00 and they said they had to take it with them for a few days!!!!!! I purchased a brand new high quality Moen for life for 189.00 in the home depot and a chain for 7.99 and had it installed by another company for 1/2 the PRICE. The labor cost for this business is ridiculously high..

Description of Work: Changed some parts in bathtub faucet controls. Had to send tech to another county for part. Tech was neat and clean, very professional. The price was a little high, but problem solved. They gave a 1 year warranty on the job, which I had to use 11 months latter, but no problem. Fixed the problem under the warranty.

Description of Work: I had a leak under my kitchen sink and the water pipes had to be changed out. I called and they came within a few hours and took about 2 hours to complete the work. I was very pleased with the quality of work, professionalism and the quick response. However, while I'm willing to pay more for quality, I do think the price was a bit too high for the work provided.

Description of Work: Checked furnace for a squeek. Also drained the water heater. Since I have a service contract, there was no charge for these services.

Description of Work: I just needed a reliable on/off valve installed for the water flow to my clothes washing machine. It took about an hour. The work was great,but boy it was expensive. As I recall I expected it to cost about $200; it was at least $500. |That's crazy!

Description of Work: I had a sluggish drain in my tub. I figured since I paid for the $39 Ben Franklin plumbing deal it would not cost much more and be a quick fix. The plumber, Jim, was polite and punctual but he ended up calling the company at one point for advice. He said he broke 3 wires trying to free the blockage and that I might need to have walls and ceiling removed so they could find the blockage, which he said was a solid mass. Then he charged me $282.43 with no warrantee or guarantee that it was fixed! I was so shocked. When the company asked for an evaluation a couple of weeks ago, I told them that I didn't expect such a bill with no work guarantee. I told them my Facebook friends reacted to the picture of my Ben Franklin bill with "rip off" and "bad business practice." I never heard from Ben Franklin but noticed that they were quick to cash my check!I have to tell you that at one point I questioned the integrity of Angies List for allowing Ben Franklin to do such a bait and switch. Had I known they do not guarantee their work and that they charge so much for their work I would never have chosen this "deal." This is NOT a good business and I warn others to be careful who they use.

The only issue was the stunning price quoted upon arrival and we were in no position to seek another service provider. We would call them again, but we would need to know cost upfront-as is feasible.
