Description of Work: Messaged them, they never got back to me

Description of Work: I sent a message through Angie's list that I needed some work done. They called me back a couple of days later and scheduled for him to come to my home to look at the work I wanted done. He never showed up and never called back which seems to be a common trait among Syracuse contractors.

Description of Work: I purchased this deal back in November and when I called to schedule the work, I was told they were currently too busy. No problem, I said I would call back in a few weeks. During that time, my dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness. So when I called Sal back I explained this to him, along with the understanding I would be traveling out of state to care for my dad. He said not to worry, that even if it was past the expiration date he would still honor the deal. I did get back to him a few days before the deal expired and asked to schedule a time to have the work done. Since then, it has been a frustrating experience of me making countless phone calls which were mostly not returned. I was told the work would definitely be done in June but that never happened. Promised follow up phone calls were not made, so I had to continue calling him until he eventually answered often seeming annoyed and irritated. Finally he scheduled what he told me was a firm commitment to come on August 19 at 9 am. He didn't show or call, so I phoned him and we spoke around 10;30. I had about enough at this point and asked if this was something he was going to be able to do and he said he really was just too busy, my job was too small. Then why sign up to do the deal, I asked if you don't want a 4 hour job? Anyway, I got several different answers... that he might be able to do the job next week, in a few weeks or he's too busy to do it at all. I am just over it and want to move on to someone who will actually do the work so I told him I really just wanted a refund and he told me to contact Angie's List. Most frustrating experience ever with AL.

Description of Work: I used Hammer Time Construction back in January when a pipe burst in my home. They came, did all of the remedial work, as well as the repair work. The work included replacing the pip, fixing my walls, changing my carpet, adding new tile flooring, and paint work. They did such a great job, that I called them back recently when I noticed a black mold stain in my ceiling underneath my bathroom. They find the issue within 5 minutes, and replaced it the same day. I no longer have a leak. They also cleaned up the black mold, and are coming back to paint. I could not be happier with this company, and I would highly recommend them to anyone that asks.

Description of Work: hammertime installed a rather long dryer vent through my basement to the outdoors. The job was well done. My only dissatisfaction was that the area surrounding the vent was not closed up and the debris from the drilling etc was not cleaned up.

Description of Work: The original plan was to have two new mailboxes installed to replace those damaged by snow plows. One was installed completely according to plan. The other was repaired so it would be serviceable. I had no note or call from Hammer Time explaining why the second installation was not done. I assumed it was due to lack of time. (I hired their services through an Angie's List Special--so many hurs of work for a set amount of money.) The work they DID perform was well done.

Description of Work: Fixed a leak from a pipe in the ceiling coming from the up stairs bathroom. Also repaired several drywall issues, replaced a toilet gasket in upstairs toilet and hung a couple of lights in the downstairs foyer where the leak was.

Description of Work: Our front steps were not level due to a poor job by a previous company. The sidewalk on the side of the steps was also uneven and we were going to be putting in a new driveway. We wanted to have everything level and even before the driveway went in, so we hired Mr. Acuri's company to do the job.

Description of Work: A month ago I received an estimate to do a bunch of the things like retaining wall, a dry repair etc.

Description of Work: The wooden trim around the opening for our garage door had half rotted away over the years. They replaced the wood and wrapped it with aluminum so it looks like it is painted and will need no further maintenance. LOOKS GREAT.

Description of Work: They tore off the existing roof down to the plywood and it. The job included replacing various trim/edge bits that comprise a roof replacement job. House is a 2-story, 2400 sqft w/ 2-car garage.
