They were fine and I had no problems or concerns with them.

When the window arrived, it was in white. Because this was a knockout, the white window had to be installed. A new beige window was ordered for me and approximately 4 weeks later (09/06/13)the new window was installed. The crew was very polite and professional. The new window was installed as originally requested. They cleaned up any debris and I am very satisfied with both the installation crew and the office personnel. The original order was made out correctly by the sales person, but the product received was incorrect. I also ordered the window finished on the inside. The finish is exactly as I wanted. I would use Stockmohr again if any doors or windows need to be replaced and I recommend them to my friends and family.

Met rep at Erie County Fair Home Expo and asked for a home estimate. They came out the next day to look and sent estimate in the mail promptly. Although they were a little higher than other contractors, they seemed very knowledgeable of their products and helpful in explaining the work. We researched the roofing material and skylights and were agreeable with the use, so we hired them. They worked with our schedule and came and completed the entire project in one day. Cleaned up perfectly. When manager Doug Mohr, came out the next day to check on the repair, he asked if they could repair the piece of gutter that was damaged by a tree limb and he said he will repair it the next time the gutter crew is in the area. Sad to call we had any problems

Over rainy weekend had leak in ceiling upstairs bathroom They had installed the roof 18 yrs ago. Left them a message sat......(not in on weekends).... did not call, but showed up bright and early monday morning. Checked the problem and promptly fixed it. Whenever I've had a problem, this company has always responded in a reasonable amount of time, very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. Would recommend to anyone. when I realized they were not available on weekends, I did call another roofer who advertised 24 hr emergency service.....but they never responded at all....I'm glad they didn't.

They have been very nice. They have also been very neat clean.

they did an excellent job on the roof and gutters. They also did an excellent job of protecting my flowers and shrubs from falling debris when tearing off the old roof.

The day after the job was completed, I was talking to the salesman on the phone and inquired how I should pay the balance. I mentioned that the fan in the bathroom was not vented to the outside as the previous had been and expressed the view that it probably would be ok and asked his opinion. He told me that it should be vented to the outside and that he didn't want me to pay the balance until it was corrected, which it was the next day, because he didn't consider the job complete. Extraordinary! The roof has a 50 year warranty and the workmanship was excellent . The old and new roof was completed in one day.

They came when they stated they would and completed the job in one day. They showed me the end result, which could be viewed in detail from an upstairs bedroom window, and it looked better than I anticipated. There has not been a leak or a problem since.

Stockmohr was one of three estimates for our roof job. We hired Stockmohr for a difficult roofing job about 12 years earlier on a different house, so we were familiar with them. The three estimates were comperable in price and scope. However, Stockmohr uses a different make of shingle than the other two companies (Owens Corning Duration vs. Certainteed Landmark). I researched the shingles and determined that Owens Corning was superior - especially in high wind conditions (rated 130MPH). Our house is situated in a vulnerable area and wind damage has been an ongoing issue. Stockmohr came as soon as the weather broke in early May 2013. They were on time and got to work very quickly. The house is 22 years old, so it had the original roof. There were several areas on the lower level that had worn through and water had rotted the wood. There were also gutter issues where downspouts from the upper roof had blown off, further damaging the lower roof area. This required several sheets of additional plywood to be replaced. Once the original shingles were removed, the entire roof was inspected and rotted sections completely cut out and replaced with new plywood. At the completion of the job, new downspouts were attcahed and they used brown extensions to blend in with the lower roof. It looks great. The work was done in one day. We have two dogs and a large deck, so I was concerned with nails and other debris. They left the house and surrounding arera cleaner than when they started - actually cleaning up the shingles and debris that had blown off during the winter and was scattered around the yard. I am extremely pleased with the job Stockmohr did. The cost was exactly as agreed, the clean up superior, the workmanship excellent and the crew was highly professional. Can't say enough good stuff about them!

The work was done promptly and punctually; all old materials were removed; new material installed professionally; workers were courteous and professional.

They came out and gave me a estimates for the work.After having 3 other estimate done I went with them. I was told they would start the work the following week but they not show up until 2 weeks later. When i called to find out what the problem was i was told the work is sub contracted out and they would get someone out. The sub contractors came out the following week and completed the work . When i called 1 month later to get the paper work i needed for my taxes i kept leaving phone messages for my sales man but never received calls back. I Finally talked to another rep for the co. and was told he had been laid off and no one checks his messages. It took 3 more weeks to get the paper work.

The Sales man came and showed me roof prices, and examples. He said the roof (which I did pick) had a 20 year warranty and that he would pick that one also, because in 20 years, who would know where you would be. He also told me there was a full warranty for the roof, shingles and labor for the first 5 years - everything would be covered. During installation, while removing the old roof they also removed an installed electric exhaust fan in the attic space. They cut the power to the fan and in doing so also cut all power to my ceiling fans in the bedrooms upstairs. When I called to complain,they said they were and quot;not electriciansand quot; and obviously things were not installed correctly by the original person putting in the ceiling fans, and I would have to fix it myself. (If you are not an electrician, why would you cut live wires?) I asked if they could recommend an electrician, as I didn't know of one and they recommended Wire Electric, who came out and fixed the problem. Cost - $300.00. The Wire Electric electrician pointed out that the person who cut the live wire left me with a and quot;potential fire hazard, leaving a live wire laying on the attic floorand quot;. Wire Electric also told me everything was up to Code and all the fans were installed correctly and if I needed him, he would tell Stockmor . Wire Electric takes before and after pictures. Stockmohr DID refund the $300.00 to me after I told them this. Also, during installation of the new roof, I was told that the brick chimney (which houses a wood stove) had pulled away from the house and that was the cause of the leak (another main reason why I called for a new roof). The roofer assured me that the problem was noted, and fixed and it would not happen any more. The very next rain, it leaked again, and I called them out and was told he and quot;caulked a small spot that was missed.and quot; That lasted about a year, and leak continued. When they came out this time, they told me it was the chimney not the roof and that the roofer who told me this originally, was out on disability for some time. Consequently, I had the chimney repointed, a new crown put on and sealed, and to this day it STILL leaks in the same place as originally noted before the roof was installed! In March of 2012, we had a wind storm and I lost some shingles. I called Stockmohr and was told my roof was not covered for 60 mph winds which were recorded in my area and to repair the roof would be $97.00. I relayed to him that I was still in the 5 year warranty and it should be covered. He told me to read my contract and sure enough in small print was the and quot;60 mphand quot; clause. This was NEVER brought up during the sales pitch, just that were and quot;less expensiveand quot; than other companies. I KNOW we get high winds here and would have gladly gone to another level of roof. I did have them come out and they replaced 2 shingles for $97.00. Fortunately I kept a box of shingles at the time of installation or that would have been more.

I was a little surprised that they didn't provide a quote the same day the did their inspection and measurements. There were other issues in my case but it seemed like standard procedure for them. When I told them that I was planning to make a decision sooner than when they said they would have the quote ready, they were good about getting me the quote sooner. Turns out that their quote was 'no bid.' I had some uncommon features on my roof and they didn't have anyone certified in the techniques needed so they didn't want to take the job. I was disappointed because they would have been one of my top choices from the four or five quotes I received. I can't vouch for their work at this point but I would definitely consider them for other work.

We contacted the salesperson we had been using since we originally contacted Stockmohr eight years ago. By this point he was very familiar with us and our projects. We ordered the windows and they arrived in 6 weeks. The crew showed up to do the installation and double checked with me if the trim color they had brought with them was the color we ordered/wanted, since it didn't match what was already on the house. It wasn't, so the called in to their shop and within an hour someone brought out the correct color. The installation crew probably spends more time installing the interior and exterior trim than it takes to remove and replace the windows themselves, but the attention to detail is appreciated. The interior trimwork looks beautiful, and the exterior work includes detail work in the aluminum bending that I never expected. I witnessed the installation and was very happy with all the work that gets hidden by the final product - spray foam insulation, caulking behind the trim work, etc . Stockmohr's installers do not take shortcuts. This is the sixth project that we've used Stockmohr for over two houses - once for siding, once for roofing, twice for gutters, and twice for windows. I have yet to find a reason to go with another contractor for any of these services. My only criticism is that they will no longer allow you to charge the full amount of an expensive project to a credit card without an additional fee. You can pay a certain portion fee free, and then have to pay with cash/check. This was not the policy the previous time we used them, so this condition may vary over time.

They are good and professional. They kind of went above and beyond the normal general scope of things. I am pretty impressed with their followup. Overall, I am satisfied with their service.

I originally wanted to put a Gray roof on my house but was told that because my garage had a Black roof that was not a good idea. I asked about the customer always being right rule and was told I was not well informed enough to make that decision. My guess was they had a boat load of Black roof shingles and did not want to make the investment for my job. I was about to throw this guy out on his fleshy bottom but my wife stopped me and I gave in.They were supposed to do the roof, and install a sliding door off of one of the bedrooms leading to back yard. They never did their homework and told me that a small deck would have to be installed to meet code. I said OK, but they told me that they did not have the extra time this season but would come back in the spring of 2009 to install door and deck. I called them in the spring of 2009 just to be told that they no longer had a carpenter working with them and had no-one that was qualified to cut open the side of my house to install door. IT SURE DOES SOUND TO ME LIKE THEY STILL HAVE A CARPENTER FROM SOME OF THE RECENT REVIEWS. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AND WHEN ASKED ABOUT RELIABLE CRAFTSMEN ( AS I AM AN ELECTRICIAN OF 32 YEARS ) The main thing I tell them is whatever they do DO-NOT use Stockmore. They have lost ( my guess ) well over $100,000.00 because they did not honor their promise to me. Bottom Line,,,,they came in did a quick job and were not interested in good faith business practices.Their loss, because the wife and I are about to do some large scale projects over the next 2 years and they will not be involved.

I only had the one interaction with them. I asked them to come over for an estimate and the story of what happened is above.

They were a very good company. They had the job done in a day, and I am very happy with their service.

We were pleased with Stockmohr's representatives - from the initial salesperson to the final inspector. The company was responsive to our questions. The job was completed efficiently and without hassle. There was a slight issue with one of our gutters after the job was completed, and it was replaced by Stockmohr without question. I would recommend them to a friend.

They are very clean and they did a wonderful job. The price was a little on the high side, but they did a complete replacement and I was extremely satisfied. In 2007, we had a limb go through the roof that we didn't notice right away until we saw a water spot in the ceiling. They came out right away in the pouring rain, put a temporary patch on the roof, and fixed the problem until we got back from a trip we were going on. I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

We contracted with them to tear off and replace our entire roof. They were very prompt and hard workers. The foreman explained what was happening and how they were handling certain areas of the roof. They completed the job by about 5 pm and took time to address the minor concerns I had. I was a little disappointed with the cleanup (I didn't mention this at the time), however, they come out the next day to do a final cleaning as standard practice. Another forman came out the next day and also went up and checked out the job the guys did to insure it was done properly. I would definately use them for more projects.

Sales rep only showed us the most expensive. We asked for a written estimate and never got one. Other vendors were open with levels of products and did provide written estimates, usually the next week. Scratched them off our list for future projects.

They have a good reputation in the area. I saw them at the home show and talked to a couple of different people at the home show. They seemed knowledgeable. I didn’t end up going with them and I selected another company to get the work done. I might or might not use their services again.

I have to say that I didn't have an issue with the initial work. After the work was competed, I asked the workers why they didn't add caps to the downspouts so that dirt couldn't fall into the drainpipes. He told me that they were not listed on the contract and I needed to talk to the coordinator of the project. When I spoke to the coordinator, he sent out someone to look into the issue (although I had to call twice to remind him). When the worker came out, he told me that in order to put caps on the pipes, he would need to make concrete to create a platform under the pipes and the job would be much bigger than just sticking a cap between the downspout and the pipe. I told him that the cap was all I wanted. He told me he had to report back to the coordinator but I didn't hear back from them. I called them again and this time the coordinator told me that the caps were not in the contract. About a week later, I bought caps at Home Depot and, in the rain, I attached them myself--no concrete required. Also, when we were selling our home, the inspector told us that one of our shingles was slipping down. When we looked at it closely, there were no nailholes in the shingle so it had never been properly attached. We called Stockmohr and then refused to come out unless we paid them between $90 and $200! The claimed that they had no proof that it was never properly attached (apparently no nailholes wasn't enough proof). My 70 year old father had to scramble out on the roof and fixed the shingle and it took him all of five minutes. My neighbors and I were appalled at Stockmohr's lack of customer service and it has already cost them business. When we had new siding put on our house we chose another company and two neighbors opted to use other companies when they needed new roofs.
