Stockmohr installed my roof 20 years ago using 30 year shingles. They warranted their work for only 5 years. Now the roof has sprung a leak down into the kitchen ceiling and Stockmohr refuses to fix it because their policy is to get payment by credit card and my policy is to make payment with a good check. Now they are accusing me of extortion. I would not hire them for anything!

It was good. They were fine. They were professional.

Chose this company because the price was good and they were local. Disappointed with the lack of care to prevent damage to my house and landscaping and lack of follow up on customer satisfaction with the clean up. Damaged bushes and put branches back in spaces to hide it, pulled out landscaping bricks to hold up plywood and then left them in lawn, scratched the siding and driveway with the debris and forgot to come back and clean it, left a garbage bag full of roofing in my bushes and gutters that I found all around the house, left gaps in the new trim because nails were sticking out, had to ask for a repeated scan for nails and still find some around the house, and put holes in the screens of my windows. No one came out after the job to check in and ask how it went, they were just sure to send the bill though. I hope the quality of the roof makes it worth the damage.

Very well. It was an 85 degree day. The door order was incorrect The size was too small. One call was made by one of the gentlemen working on this particular job. A new door was waiting at the warehouse. One hour later, the job was completed without a hitch or complaint and in a timely matter.

Our experience with Stockmohr started on the day of the horrible windstorm in WNY (March 8th). Like so many others in the Buffalo-Niagara region, we lost about 50% of the shingles on our house. We had just gone to the Buffalo Home Show the weekend prior, so we had many brochures from different roofing contractors in the area. We started calling around to different roofers immediately to get a quote for an emergency tarp to hold us over until we could get the roof fixed. A few other companies quoted us between $600 and $1000- yeah, you read that right.. $1000 for a tarp! Based on the recommendation of a coworker, I contacted Stockmohr. Stockmohr quoted us $350 for two HUGE tarps to cover 50% of our total roof and better yet, they were able to come out the very next day and get us tarped. The following week we scheduled several estimates from a few roofing companies we were interested in. Not only did Stockmohr’s quote come in over $1000 below the other three companies, it was the most detailed. We received 3-4 pages of detailed notes about what exactly needed to be done on the roof and what the recommendations were. This was especially helpful as we were working with our insurance company to get the damages covered. At first, the insurance was only willing to cover half a roof or a patch job on the shingles. Our insurance adjuster said he reviewed Stockmohr’s quote and agreed to immediately cover all of Stockmohr’s recommendations (a full roof replacement). The adjuster actually mentioned how it was one of the most detailed estimates he had ever received in his time working in the insurance industry. So of course, we decided to sign a contract with Stockmohr to do the full roof replacement. I was very impressed with the entire contract-signing process. I wasn’t just handed a piece of paper and told “hey sign this,” instead, every item of the estimate was explained line by line to us. We felt very comfortable that Stockmohr would be providing us with an excellent service. Unlike some other shady companies in WNY that require a huge down payment for the work, Stockmohr didn’t ask for anything up front. We simply had to put down a deposit the day the roof work was started and then pay a balance once completed and inspected. It took a while to schedule the roof replacement, but that is because Mother Nature wasn’t very nice to us during the past few months. We just had our roof replaced this past Monday (May 8th) and we’re very pleased with it. The roofers actually completed the entire tear off and replacement in one day. In addition to how great the roof looks now and knowing we have quality shingles and quality workmanship on the roof, I would like to add that the “emergency tarp” really held up for TWO MONTHS. Even with several inches of rain and snow during March, April, and May, we never experienced any major leaking. We periodically went up into the attic just to verify. This was a major concern of ours since the wind ripped the roof off right down to the plywood. We’ve dealt with other roofing companies in the past and Stockmohr was by far the most professional. It was always a pleasure calling the office and speaking with Jessica who kept us informed during the entire process. As first time homeowners, it’s scary to start working with contractors especially when there are so many shady companies out there. I would not hesitate to recommend Stockmohr for any of your roofing needs. Quality product and quality workmanship at a very affordable price. We’ve dealt with a few other contractors in the past and Stockmohr was by far the most pleasant to deal with. Thanks, Stockmohr!

The whole project went well from the quoting stage to final work completed. Hard workers who are very courteous and professional. Did a very good job even in some inclement weather. Did a good cleanup job after completion. Very satisfied with all work done and would hire again.

The cost for this job was much more than we anticipated when we started getting estimates. However, Stockmohr's price was around the same as all the others and they included replacing the gutters and soffits which other companies did not suggest. Considering we were replacing the entire front of the house, it made sense from a visual perspective to update these too. From a construction perspective, I think it would have been difficult to work around these and try to leave them in place so we most likely would have been told mid-job by another company that they had to be replaced. Bottom like: we were impressed by small attention to detail items like this and that's why we hired them. The job took nearly a week, which is what they estimated. The guys on site were very professional, nice, on time, and worked hard. Just like the salesman, their attention to detail was spot on. We were very impressed by the extra efforts they made to ensure beautiful cuts on the wood trim; many of them difficult as the tudor look has arcs and curves in places. They also pointed out some issues with the brand new windows we had installed the previous year, and made corrections to the trim so that we don't have any water issues in the future. Finally, they did a good job every day of cleaning up before leaving the property. We were very impressed with them and would definitely hire them again for future work! The picture attached is part of the house facade as finished by Stockmohr. The backerboard needs to be painted and trim stained once the wood cures this spring.

I found that they were overpriced, totally overpriced and that they did not do a very good cleanup job and I had to have the gutters replaced five years later. I do know that they have a pretty good reputation, but from my own perspective, they did not do a good job. I never would use them again. I was just not impressed. I did not get competitive pricing for the gutters. I live in a small village and their offices are in the same village, so I thought they're village people and they should be honest and so on. Frankly, I was just really disappointed. They did show up when they said they would. They do a lot of advertising, but in this small village where I live, which is all older houses and people are constantly having things done, I never see the StockMohr trucks in the village. I see other companies trucks working on roofs or whatever, but I have never seen the StockMohr truck in my particular village, which I think says something. The workers were fine.

They were clean, quiet efficient and did a wonderful job. They arrived when they said they would, they finished when they said they would and they cleaned up everything really well. It looks great.

Did not go well at all. They low-balled me on the initial estimate and added costs for materials they should have known would be needed at the time of the estimate. The work crew played their music so loudly that my neighbor (who worked the midnight shift at the time) was unable to sleep. The workers were so sloppy that they broke a window, which the company replaced after a great deal of angst. They installed one of the downspouts across the middle of my front lawn, which they corrected at an additional cost to me. The only positive is that the roof has held up.

They were very helpful, but we did have one of the gutters that was not angled correctly towards the downspout, and it take a bit longer than expected to resolve this issues. They were very professional and courteous, but the time it took to resolve the issue did raise a few concerns. Overall, I was happy and would definitely call them for future needs.

Crews were professional, experienced and produced a superior project in all areas. Very thorough clean-up.. We were very satisfied with speed and quality of service. One suggestion would be to provide an after hours contact number. I would hire these guys again and I would recommend them without hesitation. Awesome job....Thanks Stockmohr.

We signed the contract on October 14 20014 for a Berkshire elite patio door. Projected install was for 6 wks.However due to weather delays it was not installed until March 19, 2015. They had sent a letter informing their customers of the delay. During the install they determined that the screen for the door was the wrong one and wouldn't fit. I was told it would take two weeks. On April 24th a month later, the screen was installed. After a few days I noticed the track in the frame was crooked and the screen was getting jammed up about half way through the track. I spoke with Jessica who spoke with Dave (the door manager). She called me the next day and said someone would be out to check the door. She said sometimes they can fix the track with a board. On May 27th I called wondering when they were coming out and Nancy spoke to Jessica who said they'd send someone out June 5th. She apologized for the delay. A man came out, checked the door. At this point I explained to him that I had also noticed the door steaming up on the right side. He said it was condensation and I questioned why then was it only on one side and no other door or window in the house did that. He made a call, he came back and told my husband that he had spoke with the owner and they were going to replace the door. He said I already had two problems within a short time and he didn't want me calling with more after it was fixed. He said the company stands behind their products they sell and their work. He said customer satisfaction is very important to the company. The door would take 6 wks to order and they would put a rush on the install because we had already waited so long. August 14th Mark came to install a door "frame". He checked the order and said it specifically said door frame not the glass. He made a call, said they would order the door and put a rush on it. I then called the office after he left, just a gut feeling. Sure enough, Nancy told me that Dave was on vacation and he was the one who made those decisions. He would be back on Monday. I waited until late Monday morning August 17th, no call back. I called and spoke directly with Dave. I explained about all the delays, how every time I spoke with someone it seemed I got a different story and I was beginning to feel like I was getting a bit of a run around. I also told him about the foggy door and how I was assured it would be replaced because the company valued their customers. Dave explained that there must have been a miscommunication about replacing the entire door. He said the initial man (bobby) who had come out had spoke with him and he had told him to replace the whole frame instead of just the track. I conceded that my husband could have confused whole door with whole door frame and it sounded reasonable. He insisted the foggy door was condensation and not a broken seal and said he would have Nancy call me with an install date for the frame and he would come himself with a humidity meter to show me it was condensation. Well Nancy called on August 19th and set up the appointment for the next day. On August 20th Mark arrived to install the new door frame. No Dave. At this point let me say that through all of the conversations with various people everyone was always very polite, friendly, and professional and I always felt they cared about their customers. The workers took care to cover my floors and cleaned up any mess. They did a wonderful job installing the door. However, I am still disappointed in the foggy door. Even though it may well be condensation, I'm not completely convinced that it's not the door itself . Maybe I should have gone with a Pella. To be honest despite everyone being so nice and professional I still would not hire them again due to all the delays. Yes initially it was due to weather but after the initial letter they left you wondering what was going on and despite being told they would put a rush on things it still moved too slow. I'm sure at times they had forgotten about me as I always had to call them. At the end of the day it took nearly a year to close this deal.

It went very well. I had 3 estimates, and I chose them because they are local and have been here for a long time. It worked out great!

the Roofers arrived at approximately 8 AM on a very hot and humid day. They began tear off and completed the tear off and replacement of the shingles the same day. The crew was very professional. They cleaned up and I never found a nail on the property. There were a few things that had to be repaired (dent in gutter and overhang) which they took care of to my satisfaction. I found them to be very professional and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

It went extremely well! The work crew was very professional and hard working. They were also friendly and courteous. We were thrilled with the completed job. We have used Stockmohr before and we would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others.

I was very pleased with this service.

They did fine. It was for the whole roof, all windows and all new doors. It was for our rental property. There's this one little thing that they didn't come back to fix yet.

Came when they promised. Did all work requested and cleaned up when done.
