Ron was awesome to work with on our patio redo and very reasonably priced. He gave us a quote lower than 5 competitors, and was the friendliest we met with. During our patio project , he was very meticulous and didn't cut any corners. All of the guys working for him were wonderful. They were all great with our toddler. We highly recommend RON FOR ANY masonry work you might need.

They did a great job. He was very responsive to get an estimate and he did the project within two weeks of me calling him. I think very highly of there work, very neat and very careful for the things on my property. There work went above and beyond my expectations.

Ron was a pleasure to work with. He was one of 3 different contractors asked to provide a quote for the work we wanted completed. Ron was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. He was up-front and honest about costs from the beginning through to the end. Ron fit our job in earlier than we had originally planned, due to a change in OUR plans. Ron was kind and courteous, letting us know the best time frames to do the work. We settled on doing the work the last week of July through the beginning of August. Ron worked at another job during the day, but worked each night from about 3 pm until dark. He also worked both Saturdays and Sundays, all day. I was amazed at his stamina and energy while working. Ron never seemed to tire. He consistently worked with the same small crew. All the guys were professional and clearly knew what they were doing. As to the work, Ron broke up and removed all the old concrete around our inground pool. He then came in repoured the new concrete after the pool installers put the coping in for the new pool liner. Ron had to use some major equipment in the yard-backhoe and large tractor, and he did his best in the rainy summer weather to be careful around plants and such. Ron also dug up the old patio pavers on our back patio, and regraded from the house to the pool for a new patio installation. Ron suggested a better quality paver, Armortec, and we really liked his suggestions. He installed a drainage system to help with water run off, and then installed a brand new 650+ square foot patio for us. Ron's attention to detail was superb. He checked in with me throughout the process, always letting me know of any issues or changes to the plan. We did need to pay extra for topsoil needed for regrading, but it wasn't because Ron was being wasteful. We just needed more dirt. Overall we felt safe and comfortable working with Ron. He showed pride in his work and didn't cut corners. We'd be happy to use him again in the future.

This guys were very trust worthy and I felt like they were honest.

The add-on porch was built over 30 years ago. There were sizable spaces where the foundation of the porch meets the house. There was also a space between the concrete blocks and the flooring of the porch and the cement between the blocks appeared to be slowly crumbling. All these spaces allow a determined chip monk to set up residency under the porch!! Ron added a wire mesh to the facing of the blocks in such a way that ALL the holes were covered and then added the new cement over the mesh. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL and I have not seen that chippy since the work was done. So sad!

Double R Masonry was one of 4 different concrete contractors from whom I requested a quote. Ron Rugelis was the only one who took the time to come out to the site twice to assess the conditions and offer suggestions that would contribute to a higher quality outcome. After learning that part of the slab was to be located in an area that had been back-filled with topsoil two years earlier, he stated that the only way to ensure that the slab did not settle over time was to excavate down to the previously undisturbed soil and then fill with tamped stone up to the slab's base. His quote was comprehensive and sufficiently detailed to provide all the information necessary to obtain the town's building permits. He was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. Prior to signing the contract, Ron always responded promptly when I called with questions on the methods and materials he intended to use. Ron and his crew arrived as soon as weather permitted and completed the excavation, stone, and rebar work all in a single day. He assisted with the positioning and anchoring of the conduits and took additional care to leave ample space for the electrician to complete his work. The amount of stone required for the base was a bit more than Ron had originally estimated, but he maintained the terms of the contract and did not require additional payment to cover the cost of the stone. Ron returned the following day and rough graded the area around the slab excavation and even back-filled the drain pipe trench - something that was not part of the contract. Within two days of being notified that the electrician had completed the necessary electrical bonding of the rebar, Ron scheduled the delivery of the concrete and personally worked on getting the pour and finishing right, taking extra time to ensure that the slab was solid, level, and finished uniformly. He returned the following day to remove the forms, back-fill around the slab, and seal the concrete surface. The final result: an outstanding job that was done professionally and in a timely fashion. The two assistants that came to the site were hard working, polite, and friendly. This project required that Ron's work be done in several stages, coordinating with other contractors. Despite the busy season and the numerous trips required to the site, Ron made a significant effort to complete the job as quickly as possible. He went above and beyond to ensure that the project was done correctly and the site was left as clean as possible. Double R Masonry wasn't the lowest bid on the project, but the methods and materials used by Ron to ensure a quality result, along with the extra effort to coordinate with the other contractors provided tremendous value for the price. I would strongly recommend Double R Masonry to others, and will be contacting them in the future whenever I have a need for high quality masonry work.

The project: to replace our existing front sidewalk/walkway with a new paver patio. We got two estimates for the job, both companies that gave us the estimate were chosen from Angie?s list with an A rating. We choose Double R Masonry because of the time and care he took in looking over our existing walkway and driveway and strategizing on his recommendation for the project. Plus he had a very good personality that we enjoyed and thought he would be easy to work with. Ron started before his intended start date and completed the project much sooner as well. He explained the process thoroughly, told us what his next steps were, included us in the decision making process from start to finish, most importantly ? continuously asked us if we were happy with the project throughout the process. He was great to work with, very personable, fun, down-to-earth guy. Overall it was a great decision to work with Double R Masonry and would recommend him to anyone.

It went very well. Was very prompt in reporting to work. Started on date promised and finished on date promised. Cleaned property daily. Excellent job backfilling soil for sidewalk project. This was the hardest working crew that I have been associated with. They did not disturb us at all. They brought own water to drink. I also thought it was very considerate of the owner to provide tarps for me to cover all material and equipment I had to take out of the garage. I will definitely use this contractor in the future

We asked for a quote to replace our garage floor. They were prompt and professional and gave us a quote. There price was in line with a few other companies we contected.

Ron was very responsive and conscientious regarding the work that needed to be done. He arrived on time with his helper and completed the work in a couple hours. His work was neat and professional with attention to detail.

He was very attentive and responsive. He answered my email right away. He also made a special trip out here to deliver information so that I could make some choices. He seemed trustworthy and knowledgeable. Only reason I didn't go with them is I couldn't afford it.

Inspected jobsite x2, helped with prep work, answered variety of my questions during design phase, ordered concrete delivery, solved an unexpected, major problem on the day of delivery (redesign based on concrete thickness), worked with his crew during pour, including cleanup after, used extra concrete to make a new step platform near garage (unrelated area). Ron works harder than anyone on his crew - he is a force of nature, a really good guy, honest and hard working, as professional as any craftsman I've ever known. Highest marks in all categories.

I got more than one estimate. The prices were very close. I gave Ron the job because he came up with good ideas about how to fix the gutter runoff from washing soil from the flower bed onto the walk and also to move the portion of the walkway leading to my breezeway over a couple of inches, which improved the appearance of the walkway and the flower beds tremendously. He did a great job pitching the new pavement slightly away from the house for best drainage. Ron just didn't give me a price, he really thought through how to do the best job. He takes pride in his work and it shows.

Absolutely great! Ron was so concerned about having to reschedule because of the weather which wasn't a big deal to us. He did the job on a Saturday morning and was finished in about 2 hours. his professionalism and friendliness along with his workmanship was phenomenal . Looking forward to having our front walkway done by him in the near future!

All work and job related details were done as agreed on, and Ron was very informative on the best way to construct the footers and how the blocks should be reinforced. He even landscaped the area better than it had been before the project started. When he was on the site, he worked the entire day and never stopped until he felt satisfied with his progress. Our porch now will not be a hotel for skunks, racoons, or squirrels. The porch looks better than it did twelve years ago, when the house was remodeled. Ron will be back soon so we can have a pad poured for the A/C and the generator.

Our home is 70 years old and the basement walls were crumbly. Ron and his assistant worked from 7:45 am through 5:00 pm to do the repair work. They took only one short break. Ron returned a week later to apply the water proof coating. They did a beautiful job; the walls look like new. He also had to tear off some old wood paneling. He cleaned up everything, took it with him and vacuumed the job area. I feel that the job was done right. He was on time for every appointment, always pleasant, informative and professional.
