Ron and his crew were great to work with: flexible, responsive, and very knowledgeable. They were willing to discuss all the options, and they answered all my questions. Ron even gave helpful suggestions on another one of my projects. He fit me in to his busy schedule, worked hard, and it looks great!

Ron Rugelis responded promptly to my call by coming out to look at our sidewalk. He then provided us with his estimate based on what we wanted to do from just repairing our current sidewalk to replacing the entire sidewalk. Ron was very open to answering our questions and gave us his opinion about the different options we had with repairing vs replacing the sidewalk. We decided to repair what was there and Ron and Dan were able to then come out within a week of us deciding to proceed with the job. They had to jackhammer the cement block underneath the sidewalk at a couple of locations as it was preventing the pavers from sitting properly. He then pulled up the pavers in the parts that had settled, put in new gravel to fix the slope of the walkway and then replaced all of the pavers in the same design that was there before and put in a weed repellent between the pavers. Ron and Dan worked very efficiently and were meticulous with what they did to make sure the pavers all fit back in place and looked nice while also being safe to walk on. They even stayed until it was dark out just to make sure the job was done in the one day they had said it would take. They cleaned up everything as well. Ron was a pleasure to work with and we are already planning to use his services again for repairing our stamped concrete patio.

Ron and his crew worked very hard, almost non-stop, and completed the job quickly and professionally. They were always on time, kept us informed of progress, and cleaned up at the end of every day. Their work is meticulous and the finished product is awesome! We would certainly recommend Double R Masonry to anyone and everyone for hardscaping services.

I have used Ron before on flatwork and know he is meticulous so I called him for a solution to the small amount of water that gets into my basement with bad rainstorms. He verified with a level that my 1956 vintage stoop has settled so it is pitched slightly towards the house. Since I am not ready to tear it out, Ron caulked where it meets the house siding. I know Ron stands behind his work and would recommend him to anyone needing a mason.

Double R is terrific. He came out on a Saturday as a favor because we were going out of town for two weeks and I was very concerned about the possibility of water damage in the basement. The hole was approximately 4 inches x 8 inches. The repair is solid as a rock and we've had no issues with water since. Price was extremely fair and service was prompt and professional. Definitely recommended.

Ron was professional and competent from my first contact by phone . He was helpful and competent, giving excellent advice in person when he came to view the job site. I didn't have to explain a thing, he knew exactly which pavers would work in the oddly shaped area I wanted covered. I'm a painter, and quite fussy about color and texture, but Ron understood immediately - and gave me a wide selection and explained how the pavers would look. He ordered materials immediately, and arrived to do the job two days later! Summer's a busy season, but he bent over backwards to accommodate my tight schedule. He completed the job in a day, staying late to be sure everything was perfect. I'd neglected to tell him about an underground sprinkler system, but he was able to skillfully navigate the complications with lines despite the additional time and work required. In confronting the unpleasant surprise of sprinkler lines, Ron figured out quickly how to deal with this. Instead of getting angry, he set about resolving the problem practically and with expertise. He sacrificed much additional time to make my mistake right. I appeared home to find an amazing patio, which completely transformed the space. The new pavers I selected were a different style than the original section of blue stone, something that might have been considered odd, but Ron could tell the look I wanted, and set right to work on ordering the stone. They harmonized beautifully and truly made the area more wonderful than I imagined. Ron returned on a Sunday to put the finishing touches on the pavers, carefully smoothing and brushing them to be sure they had settled optimally. It's not often that something goes beyond your dreams, but Ron made it happen. I recommend him highly for his knowledge, ability, work ethic, courtesy and superb customer service. Ron was very responsive, my first contact attempted I left a voice mail which he returned in a couple of hours. I explained the initial job that I wanted performed and he gave my some additional options to consider which I ended up accepting as it saved me some money. He showed up for the job prepared and knocked it out very quickly. He told me when he would be there and how long it would take and he was spot on. The job was completed to my expectations with quality and cleanliness. Based on the outcome of the first job I hired him to perform a smaller job and he repeated his performance. Ron is very personable and extremely knowledgeable in his field. I am totally pleased with the overall experience and outcome of this job. I would recommend using Double R Masonry.

When I called Ron about repairing my basement wall, he indicated that he was going to be out of town for a week and would call me upon his return. He did call promptly and we set up a time for him to come to the house. He arrived on time, explained how he would fix the wall and answered all my questions. The work was performed quickly and met all my expectations. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

It all went great. Ron and his crew were dedicated, hard workers that did what they said they were going to do. I originally went with Double R because they could get to the job sooner than the others. The price was also good, in the middle range of quotes I received. The only reluctance I had was the lack of formal paperwork. There was no documented quote, nor a documented contract. I asked for these items a couple of times but Ron refused saying he always works with a verbal and a handshake. As a former project manager I am used to documenting everything, and find it helps to protect both sides, eliminating any confusion or future conflicts. I would highly recommend to Ron that he start using documented contracts. However, they have a top rating on Angie's list and I read all of their previous reviews. I decided to go with Double R and do not regret it. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, on the dates they said they were going to do it. And they did a great job. I am very happy with the final job and would highly recommend them.

Very professional in every way. Ron responded almost immediately to my estimate request. He was not rushed and took time to explain several options. He sent me an estimate the same night. Out of 4 estimates he was very cost competitive and I felt the most comfortable that the job would be done right with him. The work was performed that weekend and was executed flawlessly. The entire project turned out perfect: correctly pitched, nicely brushed, saw cut, sealed and looks beautiful. Ron explained everything through the entire job. Clean-up was meticulous. Very helpful in providing instructions to the owner as to preping the site for the pour. Very professionally company and was able to complete the job without needing an extended lead time.

After the harsh winter, my garage floor had heaved and broken. I called several people for estimates. I liked Ron immediately, and his idea for removing a problematic floor drain was good. Work was done in two weeks. Ron and workers arrived when promised, work was done as promised AND they both emptied all of the garage "clutter" and put back what I decided to keep. Great work!

The project went very well and looks fabulous. Ron was very responsive with both the estimate and the time frame to complete the project. It's nice to call a contractor and have them actually pick up the phone and talk with you instead of getting voice mail and having to wait a week for a call back. Ron did a great job on the wall and made sure everything was done correctly. I'm sure this wall will be here for many, many years because of the way it was built. It looks great and is very sturdy. Ron was great to work with.

Everything went very well! I had a lot of questions and thought about this project for quite a while. Ron answered everything and responded to every phone call promptly. Once the job started he kept me informed about weather delays and the work schedule. I was impressed by the way he and his crew worked together. They showed a high level of expertise in their craft. Ron was fantastic to work with, friendly and knowledgeable. He showed up promptly after I contacted him and he fully explained what he thought needed to be done. He listen to what I had to say, took measurements and said he would get back to me with an estimate. Two days later he return with a bid which he fully explained. I had 3 other bids but I felt very comfortable with Ron and he gained my trust and I was not wrong. When Ron and his crew showed up they were friendly and pleasant but once that started working they were on a mission to do the best job for me. My other bidders want to only put in 4 inches of concrete while Ron want to put in 5. Ron quoted both but I put my trust in Ron?s knowledge and went for the 5 inch. At no time did I feel that this was an up sell but him wanting to do the best job. He removed my step first and poured them first. His crew removed the asphalt driveway with no issues. They prepared the driveway for the 5 inch depth and made it a point to show me that 5 inches was really the depth. I guess he sensed my apprehension about the depth so he went out of his way to show me. He then formed and poured the concrete. Once the driveway was poured Ron and his crew were working hard to level it and brush finish it. It came out perfect!!!! He came back in the afternoon to seal both the step and the drive way. Ron and his crew came back the next day to remove the forms and saw cut the concrete. Two days later Ron showed up with dirt to fill in the edges. Ron explained everything I ask him and talked me thru the whole job. Ron?s crew were also very friendly and polite and the total time they were at my house I did see anyone goofing off. If there is a harder worker than Ron I have not yet met him. I am completely satisfied with the job and would recommend him to anyone with full confidence.

The whole process went very well. He responded promptly to provide an estimate and once hired began working within a few days. We felt he correctly assessed the work to be done. He removed and hauled away all the old concrete. They even repaired an unrelated drainage problem for us. They were very pleasant and responsive. The finished patio is beautiful. We are very happy with the work and recommend them highly.

The owner Ron really thinks about the best solution to the problem. My old patio was crumbling and uneven and had sunk so that it was funneling snow melt into my basement. Ron recommended trimming down the grade just beyond the patio to really correct the pitch. When Ron removed the old patio, he discovered a second patio beneath it. This meant more labor for demolition and more fill material to set the proper grade for the new patio. This cost a bit more than the original estimate but Ron was totally fair about his charges. Ron takes pride in his workmanship. I have used this company twice now and would use them again. Very responsive, good communication, and thoughtful about the finished product.

Dan and Mike did a great job removing the old windows and chipping out the old mortar. I appreciated how they hung up a cloth inside to keep the chips and dust out. Installation and mortaring went well. Final product was finished well. Price was reasonable, especially considering the work was done on Saturday. Ron listened to my input on what was important to me about the final appearance. They were finished beautifully. Nice job.

Ron was very professional and pleasant to deal with. His recommendations made sense and the cost estimate was reasonable. I am in the process of deciding best course of action.

Despite not providing services, Ron was prompt in returning my phone call and had a recommendation for someone else to do the work. Much appreciated.

He told me he has a full time job -- which I assume is NOT related to this 'business' -- and said doesn't have the time to do any work.

I had a different provider perform some service on my steps; he did a horrible job. I had Ron come and see what he could do about fixing them. He was great, very professional, very kind, incredibly nice person! I have not been able to get the work done yet, but will be using his services when I am ready.

Mr. Rugelis met with me twice to talk about what I wanted done. He was not rushed and listened to my ideas. I could see his mind working and he had a plan when he left. He called me twice to suggest places where I could see the Armortec pavers and stopped by to do one more measurement. He responded by email with a quote and we set up a date to start. He promptly started the work when planned and finished in three days. The Double R team worked together like a well oiled machine. They had all the materials they needed with them and didn't have to leave during their work, They were neat and cleaned the entire work area everyday. The design of the pavers is beautiful. level and sturdy. The price was as quoted. I have already planned more work for the Spring.

Provider was very professional, competent, responsible. A very nice job for a reasonable price. No complaints. Would use the gentleman again.
