Two men spent the better part of a whole day reseating my sidewalk that was sunked due to rodents and poor base, very satisfied with their work.

We needed the front wall of our house repaired. Ron was responsive and professional, providing an estimate quickly. After being selected to complete the repair Ron contacted me to schedule said repair. There was a slight delay in making the repair due to his heavy schedule, but after the date was determined Ron was punctual and completed the work promptly. We are completely satisfied and if needed in the future we would contact Ron again.

Ron and company had some great ideas on how to repair and reinforce the main step while simultaneously making it larger and more convenient for entry when carrying groceries, etc. The job started when they said it would and was completed in an efficient manner. A good amount of rebar was used to make sure the structure would be sound and resistant to future cracking. The guys did a good job of minimizing dust mess and cleaned up well after the job was complete. So far no complaints and I would heartily recommend Double R for concrete repair.

Everything went well from beginning to end. Work was performed on time and with as little disruption as possible.

Came and gave an estimate in a timely manner - started work when he said he would. We went with his suggestions on what would look good and he was right - everything looked great. Made sure cement did not get on surrounding areas and cleaned up all debris and hauled it away. He called a few days after all work was done to make sure I was satisfied. I am a fussy person and like things done right and Ron and his crew did a very good job. I would recommend him and I would use him again.

We have a 1000 ft driveway, part asphalt and part stone. We also have some drainage issues along the side of the driveway as it goes through woods. I saw Ron's company here on Angie's List and gave him a call. He spent quite a while talking with me about the situation, and giving me insights as to how it can be resolved. I won't be doing the work this year, but he offered to stop by and look at the driveway to give me an approximate price. He also referred me to a trusted friend of his who can do some plumbing work near the driveway (running water from the street to the house) who can probably do something for us this year. I was quite impressed with Ron's knowledge, his professionalism, and his willingness to help educate me without any guarantee the I will even call him for an estimate next year. Very good. I will certainly call him when we have the work done.

I asked Ron of Double R Masonry over to estimate replacing a crumbling brick-and-concrete stoop by the front door. While examining the existing stoop, Ron identified one of the major reasons the old stoop was crumbling. The asphalt driveway surrounding the stoop was incorrectly graded and had settled over time, causing water to run against the stoop and toward the house foundation. Ron immediately set himself apart from others who had estimated the job by looking for the cause of the problem and offering ideas on how to address it. He got out a level, took and number of measurements, and said it would be possible to remove the poorly graded asphalt and pour a concrete apron to correct the grading at the same time as he poured the new stoop. Ron was careful to make sure I understood that he would be happy to do the stoop alone if I chose and was not pushy about expanding the job. He gave me the estimate in two parts so I could choose if I wanted to do the stoop alone or the stoop and the apron together. I elected to do both stoop and apron. Ron and his crew worked diligently the first day to remove the stoop and asphalt and to build forms for the concrete. They also drilled and inserted rebar pins into the garage slab to tie the apron to the garage. Ron was very careful to cut the asphalt straight and true and measured carefully to ensure stress cuts in the concrete would be located in an aesthetically pleasing way. Removing the old stoop was challenging and Ron and his crew worked very hard at it all day. On the second day the new concrete was poured, broomed, and sealed. It was clear watching Ron direct his crew and work with the concrete truck driver that he has done this many times and knows exactly what he is doing. On the third day Ron came back to remove the forms and clean up the edges of the stoop where it had been against the form. The end result looks great! I am very happy with Ron and his crew and would definitely hire them again.

Owner was present during work and actually did most of it. Everyone, helpers and owners work hard and efficiently and project was done over the course of a couple days. Highly recommend this company and would definitly use them again.

Ron and his assistant Mike did an amazing job that far exceeded my expectations. When Ron came over to do the estimate he came up with solutions that other masons claimed could not be done or that they did not want to do. Ron made some other suggestions that I would have never thought of and they turned out to be perfect and will result in avoiding other costly repairs in the future. They came right as promised and did the work to perfection and cleaned up each day. The work they did improved the value of my property far beyond the actual cost of their services. I grew up in another city in the 1940s-1950s where we had many masons who had recently come over from Europe right after WW2.Sadly, I have not seen that level of great craftsmanship in many decades. That is, until now!!

We were deciding on a new driveway because our asphalt was rutted and were debating whether asphalt or concrete was better. Ron compared thoroughly the advantages of each and upon his advice we decided on concrete. It being October, he was prompt enough to avoid leaf fall. We worked through rainy days with his grading. We had a huge maple right next to the driveway that needed a root barrier and trimming and he installed that. Graded down to solid earth and added stone to level. There was a small section of brick walk disturbed and he finished that after the driveway was finished. We had a decorative column that had to be removed and he reset that. We had a portion of our garage floor that was pitted and he removed that base and poured new. He finished the sides of the driveway with top soil. All in all, a great job.

They did excellent and reliable work. Ron was extremely conscientious about keeping everything in order and with as little damage to the surroundings as possible. Ron exercised a huge amount of creativity, and I could tell that he was literally sleeping with this job every nite planning the next phase of the operation. I trusted him, and he did a fantastic job.
