Very competent crew. We are very satisfied with the work done.

Initially when the guy came to give the estimate he told me a certain date that they would do the work and that was postponed by a week and then getting them to follow up took a while to do the gutter work. They did parts of the work okay. I was disappointed in one thing that they did not do right and I did have to stay on them to complete the work and getting them to get the moss and mildew off of the gutters. They were not on time. The price was good. They did not do one section of the garage side roof and that was in the contract. They did a really good job on everything besides the roof shampoo as we had moss and mildew on that and the gutter. The real reason that I called them was for the roof cleaning and the gutter cleaning and that was not done well. He had to redo the contract initially as they did not include the gutter in the first contract and it should have been in that.

I spoke to them and I had them come out and give me a rating. He has a high rating on Angie's List but he was also very expensive. They were very professional, showed up when they said they would, provided a timely estimate and they did all the right things. I was very up front with the people who came to see what I needed to do. I'm not looking for the cheapest guy but I'm not looking for the most expensive on either. I'm looking for the biggest bank for my buck. So this guy gave me an estimate and I was definitely considering him doing the work until I told my friend about how I'm having the house painted and he said, "Listen before you do that give my friend a call, he could use the work. He's excellent at painting and he's a do-it-all guy. He could use the work, he's a buddy of mine, give him a call and let him come on down." So he came and did it significantly cheaper than all the guys I got estimates from. I was actually pleased with the work he did. But with Spilotras, I ranked them high, I was pleased with them but in the end I just went woth a different person based on price point.

It went very well. The workmanship was good and I was pleased with the finished result.

Would highly recommend them. Owners are very nice, as well as the actual painters. Super comfortable having them in our home, even when we weren't there, and locked up our house for us. Also adjusted what time they came each morning to fit our schedule better.

Spilotras did an incredible job from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout the 2+ week process. They were also extremely flexible with scheduling, taking two days off for my flooring contractor to come in and do his piece, and then working through the weekend (both days!) to get the job finished in time for my move-in target date. The quality of the workmanship is superb. The workmen were all hard working, polite, respectful and neat. The jobsite was left clean of all job materials. This company is the best of the best. I couldn't be happier with the work they did- it far exceeded my expectations.

We moved to NY in late summer and the house we purchased needed new fresh paint/colors. I got three estimates and decided on Spilotras due to their prompt estimate and professionalism. The owner came out the day after my call to view the size of the job and I had an estimate that night. They quickly got us on the calendar and the 3 man crew that came out were courteous, professional and did an amazing job. We were so pleased with their work, we hired them to do the rest of the interior earlier this month. Their prices were competitive and I would highly recommend this company.

His prices were extremely high. I got eight quotes and his was the highest; he was $3000 more than my other bids. He showed up on time and he seemed okay. He was polite and professional. I probably wouldn’t get another quote from him because he was so high.

First I called, got an estimate in writing..then the owner came by in person. We walked around and I told him what I wanted done. The house was power washed and then the crew spent two full days staining and painting. I needed some wood replaced so Spilotras had a carpenter care of that. A couple of days after the job was completed a bird or bee or something made some holes in my freshly stained siding..well Spilotras came back and fixed it ..filled the holes and restained...free of charge. During the job the boss came by every day...twice...to check on the crew. I liked that. When the work was done...the head of the crew asked me to walk around the house with him..he showed me everything to make sure it met my approval. the owner was responsive to all my questions whether on the phone or email. From beginning to end it was a great experience. The finished job was terrific.

It was the first time we had used them. It went very well.

Overall their work was excellency. They came when they said they would. The price, clean up, and overall service outstanding.

Spilotras Painting on time and fair priced. They showed up exactly when they said they were going to show up. And they cleaned up after themselves. There were no surprises as far as adding to the bill or anything like that.

They were professional. They prepared and covered everything. They did a good job and cleaned up every day.

The first experience was okay but they haven't come back to correct work that needs to be done. We have not been able to get them back out. They prices were fair. The work was okay but I had paint on some things that they need to fix. He was agreeable and worked with us but we had to pay extra for some things.

From the very start, I was highly impressed with Spilotras. I initially spoke to Michael and I felt comforted that these guys knew what they were doing. We then met with Rob who gave us the initial estimate. What we liked most about Spilotras and the reason why we decided to work with them was because they gave us the confidence that they would be able to complete a very big job in a very tight timeframe (less than 2 weeks). During the course of the job, Rob would keep me posted and assured me that they would be completed on time. Additionally, Rob was instrumental in helping us pick out the colors of the entire house in about an hour. These guys are incredibly efficient and are true professionals. Aside from the logistics, the house looks great. We are extremely pleased on how it turned out as well as the color suggestions. In addition, they assisted in re-doing the wall in our basement since it unexpectedly needed to be replaced. This was really helpful, since we didn't have time to go to another contractor. Also, Spilotras worked very well with the guys who were doing the floor. We love the job that they did and would highly recommend them.

They were there as expected and did a OK job.

The wallpapering was great but the walls were not sufficiently prepared before they were painted. Be very specific about what you expect to be done with them.

They were punctual, neat and experienced and their estimate was accurate. The ceiling above the bathroom doorways, the bedroom's built-in cabinetry required extra care, close clearances and special effort to fit the panels. They handled all of the detail with ease. The finished work is outstanding, primed and ready for painting. I would use them again for drywall and any other interior work and finishing.

The owner, Michael Spilotra came out and gave the estimate. He was very professional and courteous. The crew showed up on time everyday, the entire job took a week. They were very neat and clean. I would highly recommend this company.

One of the best contractors that I have worked with. They are professional, reasonably priced, punctual and honest. They'll tell you if they are able to do a job (many others didn't get back to us.).

Had drywall damage from roof leak in one corner of the room. Drywall was replaced and the whole room was painted. Room looks great, workers were very neat. Also had 4 new Anderson windows stained and the frames around them painted white. Love the way the windows turned out, very smooth and great looking. Got a sample of the paint for future touch ups also. Somehow one of the window opener handles got misplaced - but Spilotras offered to get a replacement from the dealer and we had it in a couple of days. Very happy with the service and professionalism.

Spilotra is a very professional company. I called for an appointment on November 15th and spoke with Joan. Not only was she very friendly, I had an appointment set up immediately for the following morning at 9:00 am. The Owner of the company was early (a plus but left me a bit overwhemlmed as I had two small children to put in another room to avoid distraction. Thus, in my confusion the Owner's name went through one ear and out the other. I must apologize for forgetting the Owner's name) and very amicable and thorough with his discussion of the work to be done. Despite, remembering my poor rating, he was very animated and wanted to make sure that our consultation the second time around was more to my liking. I appreciated that because it I did not feel uncomfortable speaking with him. We went through the rooms, discussed the work and he was very straightforward with a timeline and what kind of work would be performed. I need this job done before Christmas so I was very happy to receive news that the first week of December would be the allocated timeline for start and finish. Spilotra uses the same painters everyday until the work is completed. There are no transportation costs and the option to provide the type of paint and buy it myself is offered. Spilotra is also willing to work with me on price as soon as I receive my other estimates. Overall I am very pleased with this consultation and recommend other AngiesList users to consider Spilotra as a company if they need interior wall and painting work done.

Although I have not yet hired this company, I plan to do so in the future. I wanted to comment now, however, on their professionalism, punctuality and friendly manner when discussing my painting needs with the company over the phone. Each person I dealt with over the phone was polite, informative and professional and I will not hesitate to use them in the future based on the terrific impression I was left with from this brief dealing.

They came promptly to give us an estimate. We selected a day to start the job. Staff arrived promptly every morning. They worked continuously through the day. We had an extraordinary amount of spackling to be done because we removed carpeting from the stair case, we had a new railing put in and we had a leak in the bathroom. The preparation was outstanding and the finished job is very good. The always cleaned up each day. Wonderful experience.

overall experience was very good. I had concerns about responsiveness to a specific issue not being resolved (ignored). Upon posting on Angies list, the contractor responded immediately and pomptly corrected the problem. I am now very satisfied.and wish to revise my report to show the above outcome.
