Bobs Tree & Stump Service

I really wanted to use this company, but my husband decided he could handle removal of the wood chips and the top soil himself. However, I will be contacting them to assist me with work in a flower bed in my backyard. Their representative was very knowledgeable and friendly, and despite an illness in the family, we received out estimate in a matter of a couple days.

I called and left a message for Bob requesting a quote for a tree removal along with stump grinding service to be done at my property. He was quick to respond at first calling me back the very next day. I was out of town so I didn't call him back for two days. When I did call him back he inquired as to why I took so long to call him back?? Odd but I proceeded with the call. Bob took all my information and stated he would come out in the next few days to give me a quote. When asked if I had to be home he stated that was not necessary. This phone call was on a Monday. Friday I still didn't hear anything so I called during business hours and left another voicemail. I got a phone call back on Monday exactly one week since Bob stated he would be out in "a few days". I asked if he had the chance to come out to give me the quote yet. He didn't really answer but said he would be able to stop by a little later on in the day. I then asked when the soonest the work could be completed in. He responded with at least a few weeks?? At least?? Being more specific would have been great (4-6 weeks 3-5 weeks, etc.) He then proceeded to say if waiting a few weeks is not something I am willing to do then let him know now so he doesn't waste his time coming over to quote the job?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Do I need to even continue with the rest of the awkward events that transpired after this??

They were very knowledgeable about their work and did a great job. They also recommended ideas for the trees for the next season.

Very timely and professional contact at estimate stage. Very responsive to my phone calls and questions. Arrived timely to do the actual work using very modern truck, lift and equipment and worked hard going up and down several times to trim the large tree to make me happy. He was very careful to avoid dropping any branches on my home and landscaping. His coworker did a great job cleaning up and taking all branches and leaves away in their trailer. These guys are very professional and also very friendly - a joy to have them work on my property. The cost was over $200 less than a well known competitors estimate. I would use them again anytime I might need their services.

EXCELLENT! Bob had several crews arrive with some wonderful high-tech equipment which made the experience fast, successful and very professional. When they arrived Bob explained how his team would address the job, what to expect as the trees came down (minor lawn damage, but that's to be expected) and that there would be a couple mulch piles left. Again, no problem, as I have a couple teenagers that can fill several yard bags for a few dollars. From start to finish (including cleanup) they were here for about 2 hours. During the project I felt that they took great care to not damage my property as they cut down the trees and mulched up the brush into their chipper. All logs and branches were removed from my property. In addition, my OCD got the best of me and I asked Bob to take down a large branch on an adjacent tree. This was outside our agreement, but for a small ($20) fee he had one of his guys scale the 50 ft. tree to take down the branch. Hey, it's risky to climb trees so I do not begrudge them extra compensation. What I really thought was special was when they were leaving they thanked me for the work. You don't hear that too often. Some co's just take their money and leave but every one of his crew thanked me for the opportunity to work. Nice touch! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this company. Thanks Bob!

the company responded immediately to my call.They gave me a fair price.They were friendly and did the work as they explained it to me.The cost for grinding up the stump was an additional $200.Then I paid someone else $400 more to remove the stump grindings from the yard.

The individual was puctual, did the work safely avoiding any damage from the falling tree to the house, cleaned up thoroughly and was reasonably priced.

Bob met with me to review the job. My husband kept changing his mind about where and what so Bob was very patient and understanding about this.We had two large trees take down, one in front and one in back. They mulched or chipped the smaller branches and picked up bigger log pieces with a Bobcat. We requested that the tree stumps be left a few feet high for planters to sit on and he did just that. HIs price was so reasonable too. A family member was charged $3000 to take down one tree so we were very pleased.

Excellent family owned business, run by Bob, a co-worker and their sons. Very good safety work practices (safety glasses, hard hats, belts and lanyards, footwear). Would highly recommend.

The crew arrived early equipped with chainsaws, trimming tools, and rigging/climbing equipment. They also utilized a BobCat for removing large debris and a chipper to break it all down for removal. The crew was courteous, fast, and efficient. When difficulty arose while grinding the tree stump, members of the team came back the following day at no extra cost to complete the task with larger equipment. The difficulty with the stump was not the fault of the crew; the stump was just very wide in diameter at the base and grinding all the surface area took time and a lot of effort. Overall, I am satisfied with the work that Bob's Tree and Stump performed. They handled the task and the extra challenges it presented with professionalism and cleared away the debris. Out of the three tree removal services I considered, they offered the best price. The only thing they could have done better was to provide a more formal estimate document. All I got was the estimated cost written on the back of the company's business card. However, they did stick to this estimate and did good job.

Company responded to my request for a quote within 24 hours.Representative was polite and knowledgable. Price quoted was a fair price, and they were able to start immediately.Company noted that a mulch pile from the stump grinding would remain, wanted to be sure I knew this.Company asked if it was OK for trucks on the lawn. Tree removal was completed before I returned home from work, on the same day we agreed on price and work.The lawn area was clean, very few sticks and twigs around, only the stump mulch pile remained, as had been noted.No truck ruts or lawn damage from equipment.

I highly recommend this company for tree removal. Punctual, professional, and the price was fantastic. Services were performed the day after the price was quoted. Bob's team was efficient and effective in every respect from set up to clean up. I will use Bob's services again in the near future.

Bob returned my phone call and provided his estimate within a few days. Although his price was not the cheapest, I chose his company because they had insurance and I had read the good reviews on Angies List. He called within a week to schedule the work for the next day. He and his crew arrived on time and proceeded to do the trimming. He had me come out periodically to make sure the trees met with my approval. He also trimmed some branches from a neighbor's tree which were hanging over my house. They were finished within a short time, behaved in a polite and professional manner and cleaned up all the debris. I would definitely use Bob's Tree and Stump Service again.

They were efficient and on time. They cleaned up nicely after they were finished. They did exactly what we asked them to do. Their price was good.

Had a dying spruce (20') in my front yd which needed to be taken down plus a healthy willow in back yd which needed trimming. Bob's estimate was better than another by $300. I called him and they came the same day at the agreed upon time and did the whole job in 1 hr. including grinding the stump. There was a crew of 4 or 5 including Bob with 3 lg pcs of equiptment. All debris was carried out and disposed of. Lawn was raked clean of leaves and remnants. All done with a friendly smile, total professionalism and exactly as agreed upon. Would highly recommend.

He did a great job. The price was the most reasonably priced of all the estimates I received. He had good equipment to get very high up in the tree. They were very friendly and took care of the job very quickly. They cleaned up everything completely. The only complaint would be that they didn't write up a thorough estimate for me to sign. I would call this company again.
