Description of Work: Changed out a faulty modem for yet another refurbished one. .third one in last 6 months! I have to wait to see how long this one lasts. No one else services this area so I'm stuck with them!

They sent me several complicated and confusing emails of what to do with them taking over. I lost a lot of emails that were supposed to be forwarded from my old address. It was a hassle to have to change my email address. Their customer service really stinks and when you call they are not locally based and could not coordinate very well with sending someone out to help me solve problems. They gave me full day time frame for when service reps would arrive and would not narrow it down to anything less than an 8 hour window (they call it an all day window). When my phone was out (for about 72 hours) I used their on line chat for help and was given extremely misleading information and it was very unhelpful. Their phone people seem to be very uneducated and can't answer questions so they keep you on hold while they try to find out. They made an appointment to come out and fix my phone service that was not working and did not show up. When I called them from my neighbor's phone to see why they did not come they said it was because they could not reach me by phone (which is why they were coming out!). I am very frustrated and am looking for a new provider. The actual technician that came to the house was from the old company and did a fine job and fixed the problem. There were billing errors as well and the first bill I received said I was past due because I had never been sent a bill. The price listed is per month.
Description of Work: They bought my previous provider for INTERNET, phone and cable. They charge about $10 more per month and I have been very unhappy with their service.

From the beginning, over the 6-7 years of using them, customer service has been non-existent, the service is terrible, phone outages, cable outages, etc. Then when I moved and tried to transfer my package of services, I was told that they grandfather the package holders in and I can keep my package. When I got my first bill in my new home, it was 3 times the original price; everything billed separately. When I called, I had to spend an hour on the phone, was practically called a liar, and eventually they agreed to give me a discount. The worst service I have ever had.

Since it is the same provider, it should have been easy. First, we never saw a technician. The cable just magically turned on one day. Then the bill came and we were charged twice for moving our service. Once for cable TV and once for internet, even though we all know they come in on the same wire. When I protested the double charge I was told "that s because a technician rewired your home". A bald-faced lie as we never saw a tech, ever. They reversed one charge and the following day half our cable channels disappeared. When we called to complain they said they had recently done an "audit" in our area and we were receiving more channels than we were paying for. We had the same lineup for five years. It was blatantly retaliatory. To this day I can t find out exactly WHAT channels are considered basic cable to double check as the website says "channel lineup coming soon". They are the only game in town so it's satellite for me next.
Description of Work: When we moved from Pawling, NY to Patterson, NY we needed to move our cable/ internet service as well. Should have been easy, right?
