We had an issue with out Gas Furnace where it wouldn't stay on and only seemed to keep the temperature once and a while. It'd shut off for hours at a time without restarting. We called this morning about the issue and they had a serviceman out later in the day to look at it. He cleaned the flame sensor and then made sure that was the issue before leaving. The Serviceman (Fred) was professional and explained everything quite well. Overall it was a good experience and they were prompt and professional.

They are an excellent company. They were very good when they came out this past summer. They were prompt in getting here. They are a very good company.

Our 7 year old boiler broke down for the fourth time on Saturday, October 23. Not wanting to face another winter wondering when it would fail again, we decided to replace it with a new unit. We met with Brian Ritter on Tuesday, October 26, and he thoroughly discussed our options with us. By the end of the week, we had signed a contract for the installation of a new boiler. The earliest they could schedule the install was November 11, so Brian offered us the use of some space heaters; fortunately the weather was rather mild and the space heaters were sufficient. Zenner & Ritter carries the brand that we were replacing; we were adamant about not buying the same brand, as we had found their customer support nonexistent. Brian contacted the manufacturer (through one of their suppliers) to see if anything could be done for us. Unfortunately, the manufacturer wasn't willing to support the product, blaming the problems we encountered on improper installation. Nevertheless, we were very appreciative of Brian's efforts on our behalf. The installation of our new unit was begun on November 11 and finished on November 12, as promised. The installation technician, Rob, was punctual, professional and friendly. We once again have quiet, reliable heat and are very happy with our experience with Zenner & Ritter. I will use them again whenever possible and will recommend them to anyone I know in need of heating or A/C services.

Technician 'Bob' checked all the furnace ducts and adjusted them. Heat is now flowing into the bedroom. Furnace check-up will be scheduled for another day. Excellent customer service.

My experience with them has been good so far - we are not cooked up or anything. I am just waiting for the job to be completed, which would probably be tomorrow sometime. It is not possible for me to grade them properly because the job is still not done. I would recommend them.

The job stated out with the technician breaking a valve while unscrewing a brass cap with a pair of pliers and lost all the freon that was remaining in the system. He said "that never happend to me before". It wouldn't have happenned if he would have put a wrench on it to hold it in place while he took the brass cap off. They repaced the valve and charged me $120 for the freon plus for the new the valve and labor. They found no leaks so they said the valve was leaking. Update: 7/11/2011 A/C unit leaked the r22 coolant. I used another company (Solly Industries) and they found and repaired the leak that was coming from the condeser tubing near the top of the unit.

Rarely have I dealt with a company that has treated us as professionally as Zenner & Ritter. We returned from vacation to find that our house was 88 degrees, and called a competitor of Zenner & Ritter. The competitor diagnosed both the heater and a/c unit as dead, and quoted us a price substantially higher to replace both the A/c and Heater. We called Zenner & Ritter on a recommendation and asked for a sales person to come give us a quote on a new system. The sales rep from Zenner & Ritter told us that the system may not need to be replaced, and sent a technician out to check the system. The tech replaced a Capacitor which temporarily fixed the system for a substantially lower price. The technician advised us that there were several potential issues with the system, and could not guarantee the work, however the a/c worked for over a month and provided relief for over a month. After much consideration, we decided to have Zenner & Ritter replace our furnace and a/c. Please note that Zenner & Ritter, by at least temporarily fixing our system, could have lost out on a $5900 job. Zenner and Ritter scheduled the install, and the install was completed in about 2 days. It is rare that I ever give a company a rating as generous as this, and, highly recommend them.

They were excellent and good. There were a couple of things but it was okay since it was through the winter and it didn?t interfere. They fixed what they needed to do for the winter. There was something that I needed for the AC and they brought that out in the spring. I was very satisfied with their response time as well as their prices. I like them very much. They were fairly on time and were very professional. I am planning to use their services again.

They arrived on time and completed the job in one day. The guys were friendly and cleaned up. Everything went well.

After receiving an obviously inflated estimate from another company, we were delighted to meet with Zenner & Ritter who: 1) provided a much more reasonable estimate and 2) demonstrated an ability to think outside the box.

girl on the phone is completely unprofessional and arrogant, she asked for the model number swore it was a oil unit eventhough the service guy and another company said it was not, said it would take 10 days for the parts. She was completely wrong and is the type person that thinks she cant be wrong, so you get the picture when you call there. Service tech was there and fixed in 1 hour for $156.00 even filled the freeon.

It was a very positive experience. They were prompt and seemed to do a good job. We didn't have any problems. They are nearby and they have been around for a long time. They originally installed the furnace when we moved in this house. We bought their most expensive generator and thought we were getting a good value for it.

Great, no problems and didn't take long. They knew exactly what it wrong within a few minutes.

They were one of the top rated places on Angie?s List, and I looked at the other listings there. I decided on the basis of what I read there and what I didn?t want to bother. I was completely satisfied with them. They were very good. The only complaint I have is that they originally scheduled it to do with 2 men on 1 day. Because of the other work they had, they rescheduled it for 1 guy doing it on 2 days. It meant that I had to stay home longer to be there to let him in and so forth. It is a fairly minor complaint compared to some of the things which you hear. They were the best I found on price.

We were quite pleased with the work that Zenner & Ritter did. Beginning with the estimate process, they were quite easy to work with - unlike most of the other contractors we considered, they didn't try to upsell us on equipment or services. When the guys from Z&R came to do the installation, they discovered two things. First, that our air conditioner coils were rusted. They gave us the option of adding on the installation of a new A/C unit or just having them remove it. We opted for the latter option. Second, they discovered that they would not be able to run the exhaust pipes from the new furnace out of the house the way they had originally intended. This made the job significantly more difficult for them but they got it done in the same amount of time we had originally planned on. When the job was initially completed, there were a handful of things that we weren't happy with, mostly related to the running of the exhaust pipes The back panel from a closet that backs up onto the furnace closet was missing, as was one ceiling tile. Some of the holes that the exhaust pipes ran through were messy and much bigger than they needed to be. We brought these issues up with the manager who came to look over the job and not only did he agree that they were problems, he noted a couple of other issues that were not up to his standards and made sure all of the problems were fixed within a day or two. A year after the original installation, when one of the exhaust pipes began dripping condensation inside the basement, Z&R sent someone out the next day to address the problem. Z&R are very responsive in terms of scheduling, etc. We had to reschedule the installation of the furnace due to a basement flood and they were able to move things around and get in to do the installation just a couple of days later.

Clear estimate provided by phone and faxed for me to sign (I was out of town). Estimate was $500 less than competing estimates. They came to my house and installed the new AC system in 5 hours a few days later before I got home. They were also very accommodating when I had to change the install date because of an emergency medical procedure. All this within one week's time. Very professional and excellent service. I would use them again in a second.

They came out and worked on it and fixed it that night. There was a part that was failing, they were able to by pass the part so the furnace could run until they could get the replace part.

Pertty well. I think they ran into a few problems due to the comfiguation of my basement, but they were able to complete the job the same day.

The day of the installation the first worker showed up early (which was good), but the second showed up an hour and a half late. They worked about six and a half hours, then left for the day. Had to go to work myself, so I don't know when they showed up the second day. All the work was done by 4:30 the second day, but the furnace wouldn't light the second stage. The troubleshooter came out promptly, found the broken part, and returned with a replacement the next morning. Other than a bucket containing oil, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards.

Our furnace stopped working on a Friday night. I called Zenner and Ritter based on the reviews I read here. I got their answering service, which was very pleasant. I choose not to make an emergency request (I don't know how much that would have cost) and had someone come out the next morning. The service person from Z&R appeared to be very knowledgeable and recognized the issue I was having as common to my model of furnace. He was able to fix the problem without replacing any parts but instead by lubricating the inducer fan. He made note of the part in case it actually failed at a later time so they could expedite the process if it should all out fail. They're definitely a little more expensive, but it was completely worth it for their competence and professionalism.

Great. They came on time, did the work, and cleaned up afterwards.

It was not a good experience, it was supposed to be installed in December and it was not installed until February. They kept giving me the run around, and when they did do the work they left a lot of scrap sheet metal all over.

This was the first time we had use their services for anything major. It went very well. We had been pricing generators and found their prices competitive and they seemed knowledgeable about it. They were thorough and everything went well.
