Price was reasonable. From what I can see, the quality of the work was fine too. Serviceman was nice when I spoke with him on the phone and according to my mother was nice in person. My only complaint was the lack of a phone call from the main office to let me know they were running significantly behind schedule. I understand that emergencies take precedence, but please call the scheduled customers to give us a "heads up" when this occurs, so we can adjust our plans as well. I ended up calling them to make sure they were coming as it was getting late and I had to go to work. The gentleman who answered my phone call was very polite and apologized, and called later to let us know that the serviceman was on his way. I think it is just a matter of the main office getting a process in place so their employees know when to call customers about running late.

From the initial contact with Jennifer throughout the service process with Alex, the replacement of our 40 gallon tank was performed in a very pleasant and professional manner. Not being the first service call of the day, Jennifer kept us updated about the anticipated time of our plumber. He arrived right as expected and went directly to work performing the job very efficiently. We were very pleased with all aspects of this service call.

Submitted my request via Angie's List for a Tuneup Service call. Within a few days the provider contacted me to set up an appointment date. On the day of the appointment, the technician arrived on time. He was courteous and professional. He checked the thermostat settings and asked if I had any concerns or problems with the hvac? He proceeded to the basement and checked the furnaces' operating system by turning it off and on and off again. He vacuumed the area around the burners, changed my filter with. Restarted the system. He told me that he did not see anything to be concerned about at this time.

[Member Name Removed] We hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request you kindly review your records as it appears you have the wrong Company; we have no record of completing work for you as an individual or at that address you provided. You indicated a date in November 2012; we searched our records for years both before and after that time period. Further, we do not provide oil to customers or add oil to furnaces. We attempted to contact you by telephone using local directories but could not find a working number. Please work with Angie's List to have the review removed and applied towards the appropriate company. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me or our offices for assistance regarding this or any other home mechanical question. Thank you, Brian

I feel bad I totally forgot the young man that did the work for me..but he was great and explained everything he was going to do and what he did. I also requested an estimate for central air which he provided a great estimate and there was NO pressure at all. I'll most likely go with the central air this spring.

it went great! Brian was very patient with all our questions, giving us several different quotes for different equipment choices. Installation took a little longer than they originally planned--1.5 days versus 1 day--because they needed to replace a pipe with a larger diameter one. The office submitted all the rebates we qualified for as well. they were a pleasure to work with and we are very pleased with our new systems.

It went great, this is the second time we've used Zenner. The same tech replaced our hot water heating tank about a year ago and did another great job. Also, one of the big reasons I used them again is that they were one of the only companies that gave me some verbal pricing over the phone. For a small job that I would imagine is pretty easy for an experienced plumbing company, two other companies I called wanted to schedule a home visit just for a quote. Why would I want to take time off from work for a quote, and then again for the actual work for such a small job? Zenner actually did more work than I originally even inquired about and still kept the price the same as the verbal quote. Awesome!
Description of Work: Zenner put in shutoff valves under two sinks and replaced a toilet valve. It involved cutting copper pipe and soldering the pipe.

I called on September 2 requesting a repairman for my air conditioner that hadn't stopped running and my house wasn't cooling. The receptionist said my air conditioner and furnace needed to be cleaned so she set that up for the next day and said the repairman could look at the air conditioner to see if anything was wrong at that time. It was scheduled for after 4 pm. The next day Ray called about 7 pm and said he was running behind and if he still came out it would be around 9 pm or he could make us first on his list for the next day. On Friday, the 4th he came after 4 pm and checked every vent and cold air return taking temperatures as he went. He checked the unit outside by pulling the grill open but not removing it and noticed ice built up. He noticed our furnace blower speed was set on low so it adjusted it to medium where he said it should have been and maybe it might help. Help how I asked, by blowing more hot air? Anyway, he said he thought it might help and he thought I needed a part, some kind of meter, but he wasn't 100% sure. He said he couldn't do any cleaning because of the ice. He basically spent an hour and a half scratching his head, talking and talking in circles and confusing the heck out of me and then told me to call the office in the morning and have them send someone else out. Saturday morning I called the office and the lady transferred me to a repairman after I explained everything. I've forgotten the mans name but I explained it all to him and he knew the part right away and said if he had one he'd bring it out but otherwise it would have to wait until Tuesday to be ordered because of the holiday. We waited, no phone call on Tuesday so Wednesday morning I called and was transferred twice after explaining everything. Finally I get Marie and explain everything yet again and she tells me she's going to send someone to clean the units and diagnose the problem. I asked what happened to the guy on Saturday who was supposed to order the part who had told me there wasn't any point coming down without it. He said he'd just be wasting my time and his. Well no one knew anything about that conversation and Maria tried to tell me I spoke with Ray which I did not. She called Ray and he told her he wasn't sure if that was the right part or not. So why didn't he just say that on Friday instead of stringing us along. And what happened to the part that was supposed to be ordered? Well, I lost it and started yelling at Marie. I apologized and explained she was getting all my frustration of getting a different story ever time I called and for suffering through near 90 degree heat ( 110 degrees in the house per Ray who took the temperature) for 8 days now, but she didn't care and said I needed to stop yelling at her. I yelled back saying she better make us a priority! And hung up. She called back, ( I was quiet this time) and she said I hung up on her. I told her she told me to stop yelling and I couldn't so I thought it best to hang up. She thanked me for that and told me she was making us the first call. No one seems to know what anyone else is doing at this company and they obviously don't keep records of client calls as I had to explain everything over and over again, my feeling is that if Ray ( the first repair man) had just said he didn't know what was wrong and called that into the company rather than saying he was 99.9 percent sure it was that part than maybe I wouldn't be sitting here 8 days later with an elderly brother in law with a heart condition looking like death and three Saint Bernards panting and drooling and my husband and myself sitting with sweat pouring off ourselves! And I'm sorry about yelling but as I told Maria, I worked in customer service for 27 years and sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and let someone vent. So a few hours later the third repairman in this scenario comes and adds some coolant to the air conditioner and guess what...we have air conditioning! It took the guy all of ten minutes to figure out what was wrong! So here Ray took nearly two hours to do nothing, cost us 8 days of unbearable heat and suffering for a ten minute fix. Why is Ray still working at this company? Now I'm going to need more work on this unit in the spring, but at least this guy is getting us through the end of this season.

I'll start this off with: During a project mishaps can happen. It's how the mishap is taken care of that counts in my book. The staff at Zenner and Ritter were right on or very willing to resolve our situation. Brian the owner came right out and took pictures of the damaged cabinet. Then one of his office workers offered us 100.00 in order to take care of it. I said we were not interested in money just wanted the problem taken care of. Next they wanted to replace the vanity. I said that this was not necessary and suggested that there must be a way to take care of it with out going to the extremes of replacing it. Brian mentioned that he would consult with a carpenter that was going to do some work for them. The consult resulted in suggesting a molding be installed around the bottom of cabinet. That was done today and it looks very good. The person they sent out did an excellent job. So this is why it has taken me so long to write a review. As I said things can go wrong, it's what takes place afterward that's most important. From our experience it's safe to say: If an unforeseen mishap occurs during an install it is very important to have a reputable company involved. I highly recommend Zenner and Ritter Take Care
Description of Work: Installed furnace, air conditioning and hot water tank on July 15th. Today Sept 3rd they repaired damage done to vanity in adjacent bathroom. During the install process the over flow valve on hot water tank was unknowingly left open. After the main water was turned on the installer left the house for a much needed break. When he returned there was about 2 inches of water on the utility room floor. The water also seeped into the adjacent bathroom. The bottom of the vanity kick plate and side swelled do to the water contact and was a constant reminder of what had happened.

The serviceman was great. He thought it was only the float, and while the unit was different than most, he was correct and just needed to replace the float--and the system is a 'mono' system, the entire system nended to be 'bleed' also. He did a great job.

To Angie's List staff: I didn't complete my review because NO WORK WAS DONE therefore I didn't think you'd want the report. As I detail above, I decided to delay having the work done (my a/c replaced) due to health expenses I'm facing. I was pleased with the representative, and would surely use this company, when I do replace my current a/c.
Description of Work: I consulted with one of the owners to get an estimate for replacing my elderly air conditioning unit. He suggested that I keep the information/estimate which would be coming, but wait to act as long as my current system was working. Brian Ritter (grandson of one of the founders of this company) was knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. As I am facing large health expenses I did decide to wait: to not have the work done now. I am ready with the contract waiting to be signed if and when my old a/c gives out. I highly recommend this company.
