+ -1 moreWe would definitely call Rockelman again and recommend them. We called mid-morning on Saturday. Within 10 minutes the dispatcher had contacted a serviceperson on a call near our house and had arranged for him to come and look at our dryer. Paul (the repairman) was courteous and arrived within the hour. He took his time to carefully check the situation, take apart the dryer, explain what was happening, and prepare an estimate of what it might cost if we decided to try to fix it. Paul gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. We so appreciate the responsiveness of the company and Paul's professionalism. When my husband thought about it, he recalled that his mother used to have Rockelman service her appliances all the way back to the 1950's.
Description of Work: We needed to know if our 15-year-old Kenmore dryer just needed a switch or minor repair and was worth repairing or was on its last legs. (We need our dryer every day because of all the bedding we must wash and dry for our elderly dog.) Paul arrived promptly and proceeded to take off the dryer's front panel and examine/diagnose the situation. He operated the dryer with the panel off, cleaned out lint, showed us what was going on, and described to us what the possible costs would be for a new motor, new fan, and what the labor costs would be. He gave us a very good estimate of what it might take to fix the dryer and the reasonable expectations for such a repair - all the necessary information we needed to decide whether to proceed with ordering a new dryer or try to fix the old one. Paul was knowledgeable, professional, and neat.

+ -1 moreThe technician came to the house really quickly and was here the next day or 2 days later. He came right on time, took the stove apart and literally whizzed some wires. It started working again and he checked it a couple of times and said that he thinks it was a lose wire. He told me that he does not see any other problems and charged me for the service visit and nothing else. He told me that they had a 30 warranty and within that time if there was a problem they would come back and I wouldn’t be charged for the service call. It was $36 for the service call I think. It was pretty quick and simple and they were in and out.
Description of Work: I used Rockelman Appliance in the past. The last time I used them was about 1.5 weeks ago because my oven was not working.

Description of Work: Two things they did in different weeks: came to look at the refrigerator because it had a very bad odor and we feared the it was leaking. They came within 24 hours, and gave us service. The washing machine went out the next week, and they came and repaired it.

+ -1 moreIt took him one hour and fifteen minutes to finish fixing the washer. He was able to come out the next day after I called him and he was very polite to me. Once he showed up, he knew exactly what was wrong and had the part available in his truck.
Description of Work: I had them fix my washing machine for me. It was not spinning. They did this by replacing the belt that located next to the motor.
