Pella Windows and Doors

Description of Work: Order and installation of 2 double-hung replacement windows. Initial ordering phase was delayed due lack of response to my communications, but the product and installation process were both great.

Description of Work: Six replacement windows. Look great and salesman and window installers were great. Next year, more windows and it will be Pella again.

Description of Work: We use Pella. They have a bunch a vendors, you go through them to install the windows. Everything was custom made.

Description of Work: They provided installed 2 slider doors about 5 years ago now (not 2012). The doors themselves are high quality except that the exterior paint faded in a blotchy manner. The came out and inspected and said that this normally happens when customers power wash the house with chemicals and some splashes on the doors or similar events where chemicals get on the metal. From the patterns it was obvious that didn't happen here. Also they are on the north facing side of the house so it wasn't sun damage. In the end they decided not to cover the repainting under warranty and referred me to a local company who could paint them. Other small quality issues included see little pieces of blue painter's tape inside the door where they had masked off for painting or staining and the fact that the stain on the threshold wore off rather rapidly. For the price that Pella charges you expect them to stand behind the product.

Description of Work: Acted only as supplier; installation done by someone else. Door was originally installed in July 14. SOme problems with quality; they decided to replace the door, but when it arrived, it was not as ordered (window detail). Now, because of a problem with the stain, the new (3rd) door will not be installed until at least mid-May (i.e. 11 months from the original order.

Description of Work: They installed 6 double hung windows and a sliding glass door. It went very well, they arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a timely manner. I am pleased with their work & the product.

Description of Work: Contacted Pella to recve a price proposal on replacing all windows at our house. The sales rep, Chris, came out on time and we did a thorough review of our needs and wants. He provided a detailed proposal with various detailed options on some of our bigger windows. The pricing seemed about 10% lower than Big L. We are planning on using Pella when we do the job. We like the pricing and the fact that we have one contact point for the windows and the installation...we're just slow at getting around to actually doing it.

Description of Work: I got 4 new windows.
