They came and fixed it. This is after having 3 other contracters not do the job.Good for them. I will use them again when I need electrical work done.

Various lights were out in my condo, along with my air conditioner on a hot day. I had this same problem occur 2 years prior and was serviced by Wire Electric. They had replaced my main breaker for a total amount, with service costs, of $588.00!!!! I had called Wire Electric at 4:45 pm on 6/15 and the tech did not call me back until over 2 hours afterwards, after me calling their "emergency service" 4x! I checked through the phone book and called several electric services and only Mister Sparky returned my call. Paul Glidden (the owner) came out as his other technicians were already busy on other calls and he personally checked things out. Paul told me that we would need the electric company to pull the meter in order to investigate further as he tried to do it himself but it wouldn't budge. Paul called the electric company for me (3x had conversations with them) and then waited for them until they came to my house. He conversed with the technician and the technician pulled the meter finding nothing wrong with the meter. Paul then thoroughly checked connections and everything else behind the meter and found a very loose screw!!!! He tightened the screw about 4 turns and all the lights went on. Paul spent a very long time during this service call and was extraordinarily thorough, explained everything fully, was friendly, courteous. He even called early the next morning to follow-up to make sure everything was working well! I seldom, if ever, write a review unless I am extremely disgusted or extremely satisfied with services that I had encountered. I cannot tell you how HIGHLY SATISFIED with Mister Sparky's services and recommend them to everyone and I will be telling everyone about the great service I had received from them. THANKS SO MUCH MISTER SPARKY!!!!!

I bet electricians love brand new construction, where everything is planned and up to code. But when you have a house built in 1926 you have to be careful about who does your work. Mr Sparky was great from first call to work done it took about a week. Paul came right out and sent us an estimate the next day, and Jim, the electrician, was a true professional who really knew his way around the plaster & lathe walls and old wiring. It never occurred to me to tell him there was a bathroom above the wall where he was working, thank goodness he asked and avoided the pipes! I guess 86 years ago when they built the house ,they figured three outlets were plenty for a 15 x 22 room- I am so happy to have the two additional outlets. We will definitely call them again when we need electrical work done. Another solid recommendation from Angie's List!

I was very happy with this company. Estimate was timely and complete. Electricians were on time and worked well all day. They were not able to complete everything and needed to return a few days later to finish. They cleaned up well and were very professional. I would definitely hire them again.

I had a problem with my breaker box constantly tripping. Don and Jim came out and were friendly, professional, and efficient. The price was very reasonable for the service call plus the work. They spotted the problem right away, fixed the wire, put it all back together, and gave me some good general advice about what to look out for as I'm looking to buy my next house in a few months. I was very pleased.

Called and easily and quickly scheduled an estimate appointment. The estimator was friendly and knowledgeable and talkative. He clearly explained what needed to be done, the available options, and what to expect. The work was scheduled at a prompt and convenient time. The installers arrived on time, were friendly, kept me informed, and cleaned up after themselves. They explained the next steps that needed to be done (schedule the electrical inspector). All in all, a painless and satisfying expereince.

I called the office and talked to, I believe Joan, and asked to have someone come over and give me an estimate on some work. The day was set and Paul came by on the designated date and time. I explained what I wanted done. He told me he would email me the estimate within a couple of days. Estimate was emailed. I had a couple of questions and called the office. Paul was not there, but Joan had me talk to Al. Al pulled my estimate, made the necessary changes and emailed me a revised estimate within the hour. I called them back and scheduled a day to have the work done. Seamless, I like how professional the office was. Other companies take note, this is a customers first impression. You can't change a first impression. On the scheduled day, they were on time, maybe 5 minutes early and were complete by 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon. The 2 gentlemen were professional, answered any questions I had and cleaned up after themselves. All in all, an excellent experience. I had called a couple of other electrical companies for estimates and one was nowhere near as professional and the other was 1/3 more on the price.

I called and was immediately given a date for the estimator to come out. Since it was a Friday, we only had to wait until Monday for the estimate to be emailed to us. We called the company the following day to set up the installation. They were able to come and install on that Friday. The electrician who came was prompt, courteous, and worked diligently until the job was finished. The work was done perfectly and he took the time to explain the operation of both the ceiling fans and also the attic fan. Everything was cleaned up after the installation. From my initial call to the company until installation day it was less than 2 weeks. We are very pleased and will definitely use them again as well as recommend them.

The estimate was very close to cost. They were on time, responded quickly to questions, and explained things thoroughly. This was a very big job. They began with a my problem of a shocking outlet. I knew my home had electrical issues that needed to be addressed. Due to their professionalism and knowledge I decided to have them look over all the issues I have been having. I found out that the home had many mistakes and poor grounding throughout, my circuit panel was doubled and tripled. They explained everything and provided a prompt estimate. Through everything if I had questions they got right back to me. I am still working with them because I had some additional requests which is included in the price I provided. I would use them again if needed.

Don was right on time and very friendly! He came in, described what the problem was and then went right to work. The work was about an hour and a half. He was very professional, he said he does things right the first time (which is something I try and live by). He showed me what he had done after the work was finished and even recommended a way to hook up the water to the dishwasher. This is a great company in my opinion, both calling and dealing with them in person was very pleasant. I have an older house which I know will need more electrical work done as I refinish the house and I will DEFINITELY use them.

My first and only phone conversation went very well. An appointment was scheduled and the serviceman was there punctually to do the repairs. My son went over the entire house with him, and he performed all requested services. I received the bill via e-mail the next day, and the price was great at under $200.

They did a great job upgrading our electrical system. We chose them because Angie's List had them rated the best.

The company took forever to get back to us once they came and initially inspected the job. Once they were back, the tech didn't remember what we'd discussed originally and it ended up costing more than planned. The finished work is good, but the experience was not.

Poorly. Made original appointment to meet and provide an estimate. They called a couple days before the original scheduled day and asked to reschedule to 3:00 in the afternoon of the same day. We agreed, and I planned on leaving work early to assure that I was there to discuss the scope of work. Three o'clock came and went with no one showing up. I called and was told they had the appointment for 3:30 (although she repeated the rescheduled time of 3:00 several times when she called to reschedule), that Paul was running late, but that he would be there any moment. We waited until 3:40 and then had to leave for an appointment. We never heard back to apologize for missing the appointment or reschedule. Very poor customer service and lack of professionalism.

I couldn't have been happier with the friendly service on the initial phone call and when the technician showed he was very polite, informative and helpful. Paul was his name. Excellent!!! He checked the box, outside, ground and found no problems. When I asked about the whole house surge protector he explained how they worked and what they protected and did not protect. He had one in the truck and installed it at a very reasonable price. Thank you Anglieslist for being a great resource to find a quality and professional company instead of blindly selecting one from the phone book.

We had Master Electric wire our kitchen and also our garage a couple of years ago. Very punctual, nice and reasonably priced. Recently, we were putting in a sump pump and had Master Electric come to install the outlet. When the town inspector came, he wouldn't pass the work because the outlet was not up to code for the town. It was pointed out that the new code had been in effect for 8 months and they should have known better. They came back and charged us even though they put in the wrong outlet in the first place. We like the work and trusted their work, but if you hire them make sure they know or check the codes for your area. They replaced a faulty GFI they installed a couple years ago and again charged us labor. This we could justify because it had been a couple years and we needed it moved. We are willing to pay a fair price for work but feel a bit taken advantage of in this case. I am not happy paying twice for something that should have been done right the first time and was clearly their fault

Came out to tune up a generator. They called first as requested, came out on time. Completed work is less than an hour. good Job. The cost seems a bit much for what was done, but was very satisfied.

We found this company on Angie's List. I called in the early afternoon, they gave an analysis of the problem with an estimate of the costs. and were able to come out at 5:00pm the same day. Paul, the owner / electrician, took care of the problem on time and as quoted. Paul provided great information on the options we have for our service panel and also for the lighting additions for the kitchen. He was personable, professional and helped us find cost effective solutions for these projects. We are extremely satisfied with this company (both Joan who answered our call and Paul, the owner, who responded so quickly). Will use them again and recommend highly.

They did a great job. We spent about $92 on that work and thought that was a good price. They were efficient, punctual and did a great job.

I have a very large garage (three bays, double depth, so big enough to hold six cars). I called Mr. Sparky to get an estimate for running electric out to it. Paul showed up within a few days, on time, and gave me great ideas I hadn't even considered, such as running out extra power to make a mini-breaker box. But at the same time he wasn't pushy about anything. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The only reason I couldn't give them an "A" on responsiveness is because they took 2.5 weeks to get the estimate to me. Apparently the heat wave caused a burst of work for them. Though, they were extremely apologetic for the delay, and the estimate I received was thorough, organized, and emailed to me (which I found very convenient). It was a little bit more than the other two people who had given me estimates (about $100 more) BUT it included the fees for the permits and the circuit breaker box that the other guys didn't even mention. I was able to schedule the work to be completed within four days after getting the estimate. The two men who did the work were very professional. They were very good at working together and finished the job within four hours (digging a trench, running the cords from my basement to the garage, installing four outlets in the ceiling, an outlet near the man-door, a light on the outside of the garage near the man-door, installing a six spot circuit box, and switches). They explained everything to me and the estimate was exactly what I paid. Overall, these people are all great! The women in the office are fantastic and attentive, Paul is a great planner, and the men on the job were intelligent and respectful. I'm a young woman who owns her first house on her own...and it is unfortunately the exception and not the rule to be treated with such respect. I really appreciated it!

Arrived a few minutes early. They found one line installed incorrectly ( fire hazard) by another contractor. They fixed the other problem at no additional cost. They 40 amp line was installed quickly. Very polite and professional. Explained all areas of concern. Awesome! Highly recommended.

Excellent. Service was on time, efficient, complete and reasonably priced. I couldn't recommend this company higher for a residential electrical problem.

Although he came out punctually and took detailed notes, he promised to send me an email within several days outlining the estimate. Nothing came and the weekend passed. I called for a follow up and they were apologetic saying they were short staffed but would have it out to us by the end of the week. Still no estimate came. I called again and left a message and received no reply. After two weeks of waiting for their estimate to come, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Very friendly people, but what's the point of spending almost an hour on an estimate with a client when you can't even send out the final to them for approval?
