Master Electric of WNY

I kept calling and didn't actually get them here. They never got here. To get them here, you had to pull teeth. Maybe they're that busy, but it was atrocious. I finally got them out here after calling them for six months to see if they were coming. He said, "I'll be back to fix it," and now eight months later and they never came back. There was no call. They could have said, "We're very busy at this time. I don't think we can take you work. Maybe it's better if you try somebody else."

Very professional and friendly from initial phone call to job completion. There was good communication through email and phone calls. I liked the fact they made the effort to get my work job completed within 3 days.

If we could we would give them an A+. This company is highly professional and they do high quality work. We did not have any problems and they got the work done promptly.

My home was built in 1968, hence it was one of the homes that had aluminum wiring. There have been at least 3 fires in homes around me, due to the wiring, so I decided to bite the bullet and get it fixed before I was forced to do it when I sold my home. Paul the owner of company came out day after my call, he is very knowledgeable and experienced at his job and explained what was involved in the work process, answering all my questions. He sent me a quote next day and we scheduled a day for work to be done. Jim and Don did the electrical work. Having at least 80 sockets and switches in my home it took them 2 days which I expected These electricians were very efficient and good at what they do. They also answered my many questions and showed me the sockets and switches that had burned wire on them. I am pleased with a job well done and can now be at peace that no fire will occur due to aluminum wiring. I would hire this company if I had more electrical to be done and recommend them to all.

Don did a great job on installation of mirror lights. Very professional. No any sign leave on the wall. Thank you so much. Only complain is the price is little bit expensive.

Very professional...came on the same day and did not charge me extra...office staff friendly as well...took less than 1/2 hour and they upgraded my outlet at no extra cost....

Master Electric was able to schedule a date within a couple of days of my call. The electrician was prompt and very efficient. He offered options for how to locate switches. He installed the wiring and switches as agreed by me. The work was done well, and in good time. The work areas were left tidy, no mess to clean up.

My new homeowners insurance company required that I have an electrician access the outside wiring on my home, from the meter box to the utility provider, due to the age of my home and the visible wear on the wire leading from the meter to the main utility line. I called Master Electric and spoke to Paul; because Master was located within a short distance from my home Paul said he would take a ride over. He was at my door in less than 30 minutes. He accessed the situation and told me there was no imminent danger although he recommends having the wiring and panel redone within the next couple of years. As a followup he confirmed his findings in a letter that I was able to present to my insurance agent. I find it hard to believe that if I had called another company I would have received the expedience and professionalism demonstrated by Paul and Master Electric. When I have the wiring replaced I will definitely call Master Electric. Thank you Angies list for leading me to Master. BONUS: No charge!

I have an auxiliary sub panel in the electric system of the house. One of the circuits from this panel supplies the A/C. Periodically the breaker for the A/C would trip. Sometimes the breaker on the main board would trip causing the loss of multiple circuits. I selected Master Electric from Angie's List. I called them about 10am and Chris the technician arrived about noon. A couple of calls from the office kept me well informed prior to arrival. I explained what was going on and Chris opened both service panels to inspect for wiring faults. Everything in the house looked fine. I called the electrician because I was sure that the A/C unit itself was not causing the problem. A check of the amperage draw during the on/off cycling of the A/C showed nothing unusual. We started to lean towards replacing the breaker, maybe with a 30A. While outside at the unit Chris opened the power disconnect on the side of the house. Chris noticed the problem right away. The insulation of neutral leg of the wiring had been nicked. Probably during installation of the new A/C three years prior. The wire rested against the nut holding one of the romex connectors to the box. You could see that the insulation had burned and that something was causing the wire to short once in awhile. Chris cut out the damaged end, spliced on a new piece and reconnected the power supply. One thing I liked about this call was that I was quoted and hourly charge plus parts prior to starting; Chris completed the job in just under an hour.

The gentleman knew what he was doing, so the job was accomplished in good time and with no problems. Also, he was a pleasant person to deal with. The people I spoke to on the phone were helpful and friendly.

I chose Master Electric Co based on Angie's List review. I needed indoor/outdoor light fixtures replaced. In addition, I needed recommendation on switches/outlets in my home, because I have aluminum wiring in the house. Paul was very prompt and responsive to my request. One of the electricians was in the area and came to the house within 30 minutes (his name's Don). Don, polite and professional, replace two indoor light fixtures and explained what I need for the rest of the house. Definitely will use Master Electric Co service again. Highly recommended! Great experience!

It went excellent! They are very prompt and they are friendly and courteous. My Labrador retriever ate a bolt that held up the chandelier when it fell out of the electricians hand as he was hanging the fixture, so he worked on the pump while I ran up to a store to buy a new one! He was hoping he had one like the one my dog ate, but he didn't- he said it was the funniest thing he ever saw! When I returned, he was just finishing up the wiring for the pump and had that up and running. He then finished the chandelier! I have had them for many different projects and will continue to work with them when needed!

This was the second time I've used this company. I appreciate that the electricians have the freedom and flexibility to problem solve and get the job done. The first time I used this company, I had to have a really ancient and unusually configured switch plate changed to accommodate updated electric switches and wiring. The electrician took a new switch plate and actually carved it out to fit exactly what I needed. I was thrilled. If he hadn't done that, it would have meant a plaster patch and new wallpaper. It seems that with some contractors if your problem isn't exactly A, B or C, they can't do a thing for you. That's not the case with Master Electric Co. I will always use them.

It went great. Chris arrived early, explained what he was doing, and then quickly discovered that the problem I called about would be a big job that will have to wait until spring (involves and underground wire). He showed me the process he went through to arrive at this conclusion, which made sense to me. We're going to call him back when the snow melts for an estimate. Friendly, smart, punctual, reasonably priced. I've had trouble in the past finding reliable electricians, and I'm glad to report I believe I've found one.

Everything went as expected. The company was very responsive to my service request. Technician showed up on time and did a quality installation. No problems.

All were very personable and gave their honest opinions about where to place the lights, etc... Chris came the very same day when we had an issue with our exhaust fan in the bathroom. A very professional group of people! Hard workers!

Completed as promised. Very helpful. Cleaned up.
