The workers who had removed the toilet in order to refinish the hardwood floors in our half-bath, noticed that the flange to which the toilet is mounted, was cracked and would need replacing. Based on the positive Angie's List reports for Ed Young's Plumbing, I called them because I wanted to get the flange replaced as soon as possible, and I wanted it done right. I called Ed Young's on a Thursday, explained what had happened. Because the hardwood floor workers would not be done with their work until Friday afternoon late, the soonest I would be able to allow the plumber in to do the work would be Friday evening. When I explained these restrictions to Ed Young's, they stated, understandably, that the soonest they would be able to come would be the following Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. On Monday morning at about 10:05, I was called by Erik with Ed Young's, and he said he would be arriving at about 10:45. When he arrived, I found him to be a very nice, clean-cut young man who obviously knew his trade. He immediately determined what he would need to do, he quoted me the price it would cost, I agreed, and he got right to work. He had the flange replaced and the toilet re-set within an hour's time. The toilet now feels like it is much more solidly attached to the floor, which is something to which I had asked Erik to be attentive. He also replaced something he called a "disk" in the valve works of the toilet, which enables the tank to fill much more quickly, and he did it gratis. If I want a plumbing issue done right, I'll definitely hire Ed Young's again.

I CALLED IN THE AFTERNOON, HE CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING, GAVE US AN ESTIMATE AND SAID HE COULD DO THE WORK THE NEXT DAY.

The company performed the same work last year. I have a large amount of tree roots clogging the system. It reminded me the beginning of October, Id need to have the work done again. They were right. The wash tubs backed up, I called. They came at the appointed time. The work was done throughly, politely, and advice to slow up root growth was given.

One morning I discovered that one of my water heaters had begun leaking into my basement. When I discovered it, there was about 3 inches of water standing as my sump pump had been modified for radon purposes. I call Ed Youngs and they were here within one hour, in the mean time my daughter and I began wet vacing the basement. Bob, the plumber, quickly determined that one of my two water heaters had ended its useful life with a interior melt-down and began leaking water out of the bottom. As the other water heater was the same age he recommended the replacement of both units. The assistant went to pick up replacement units from the warehouse as Bob readied the current system for the replacement. The plumbers arrived at around 1:00 pm and departed at approximately 5:00 pm.

The man was very nice and did all the work. He was prompt and professional. He did make a mistake but was honest and admitted to the mistake. He said he would fix it for free.

Ed Young is really pretty good. I liked the fact that they were punctual and responsive. They came right out after I called them. The price I thought was a little higher than I wanted to pay. Otherwise I thought I got a good deal.

True Value Hardware arrived on time and got right to work. We've used them before, and they always do a high quality job. The repairman was very nice, too.

Overall True Value did average work. I was a little upset, because when the plumber was soldering the line, he accidentally melted part of my water softener. I do like their receptionist, though. She's very nice.

Ed Young was very professional and did the work in an adequate amount of time. I would definitely hire them again for future work.
