Ed Young's True Value Hardware

I have been using them for years and I used to go through Richard. They always stood behind their work. Richard has retired and the new guy is Bob. He has given an attitude with me asking them to come back out to fix the toilet they had installed. It was crooked and I wanted him to redo it. Bob kept talking over me and would not let me get a word in. I moved on to talk to the owner who had Bob come out to correct the problem. Because of Bob's overall behavior being very unprofessional, I will not use them again.

Jon was punctual, thorough, + communicative. The drain problem took longer than expected and when i mentioned i had an another appt that perhaps I should reschedule, he suggested i wait. Not 10 minutes later a 2nd plumber, Scott, arrived to work on the bathroom tub drain so that Jon could finish the basement project and so I could make my appt. i have hired several plumbers over the last few years with varying results and will always call Ed Young's in the future. Although more expensive than other plumbers, the quality and professionalism of Ed Young's Plumbing is unsurpassed.

The workers were courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They finished the work on schedule and cleaned up thoroughly. The cost was as estimated. They had to snake a drain line to complete the task even though that was not known at the time the estimate was given. They did so for a reasonable cost and it did not prevent them from finishing on time.

I contacted them because I used to feel they were reliable. A plumber came to my home on 5/18 for a plumbing estimate. He took pictures of the area and said we would have the estimate either later that day or the next day. A week later still no estimate,so I called again. The gentleman I spoke to told me we would have the estimate later that day. It's now been two weeks and still no estimate. . I won't be calling a third time.

The service was performed about 2 years ago. They repaired and installed a faucet.

More involved than I originally thought, but they did a great job

They are an exceptional company. Very honest and thorough. If issues arrive they will make sure you are aware and correct them. There are top notch and I would highly recommend to anyone! They do superior work!

They were pretty reasonable. I checked with other places and they were the most reasonable. They were really good. They were here right away. They were very professional, nice and clean. Their representative was dressed nicely and professionally. The installer was very nice and helpful. They explained everything that they were going to do and how long it was going to take; they were right on all of it. It was good appointment. They were excellent. I have used them since about a month ago. I thought I had a plumbing issue with my upstairs bathroom. I thought that the toilet was leaking and coming down the wall. They sent someone out here and what I thought was going to be several hundred dollars for the plumbing repair turned out to be just a simple broken plastic line from the refrigerator in the kitchen downstairs. T. hey replaced it within half an hour and cost under a dollar for the service call. They spotted it right away. They were great.

Staff that I dealt with in store we're helpful to me with the selection of materials I would need for my project.

I have used them several times and they always do an excellent job. The good thing is that if there is an issue they will come back and resolve it without problems.

Was very satisfied with the installation, but the cost was prohibitive. The work was completed in less than an hour. Although we were satisfied with the work performed, the cost would probably prevent us from using them again.

The gentleman was very helpful in the selection of the type of paint I needed. Didn't try to sell me the higher quality when I didn't need it. Very honest.

No one showed at appointed time for estimate. No call. I took half day vacation for nothing. I called and got snarky attitude, insincere apology. A guy did meet with my wife the following morning and gave a ridiculous estimate. I had the repair done for half the price.

Excellent. I went into the True Value and set up the appointment for the next day, a 12:00 to 2:30 time window. He called letting me know he was loading the truck, and arrived in a timely fashion. The water heater installation was quick and the plumber answered all of my questions. I asked him to look at a few other issues in the house and he went to each one giving me an opinion and doing a few extras (tightening fittings, capping unused gas line, etc). All relatively small items but it saved me a lot of time. I also saved $30 by having my husband to help with hauling the old heater out, but turns out since it was a short set of steps to the door, the plumber did it all himself. If you need a new hot water heater don't hesitate to call Ed Young! The prices were advertised online and it was an easy setup and installation, exactly what I needed as a new homeowner!

They indicated the plumber would be coming by in the early afternoon shift (12:00-2:00pm) and I requested a phone call first. The person did call around 1:00, and indicated he'd be there in about 15 minutes. He arrived about 50 minutes later. I'm not too bothered by that as I was home anyway. What was odd is that as soon as he stepped foot in my house he stated the price is $168 + tax. I'm not sure if that was before or after saying and quot;helloand quot;. The work was done properly and within 30-35 minutes. Considering I purchased the faucet in advance and it only took about 35 minutes is why I'm dissatisfied. It's simply way, way too much money to spend on replacing a faucet. Based on what I paid the hourly labor rate is about $360! $80-$90 would have been a much more reasonable price, as this was not a complicated piece of plumbing and I supplied the faucet and all parts. Had I known the price beforehand I would not have used this company. This is unfortunate as I have used them in the past and felt their prices were reasonable. Next time I'll call a handyman or do it myself.

Outdoor faucet at a rental property that I own was leaking badly, Call Ed Young's and set a time to meet the serviceman. He got there early, fixed problem quickly then I had him fix the toilet. Very friendly and professional.

Prompt, courteous, professional work at a reasonable cost! What more can one ask of a tradesman? We are completely satisfied with the work and will definitely hire this firm again.

Filled out online form Sunday 8/5. Received call 0800 8/6. Plumber arrived 0830. Wrote written quote before starting for work requested. Cleaned kitchen drain as requested. Attempted repair on bathroom tub/shower faucet but unable to pull cartridge due to calcification. Tightened and left written quote for more extensive repair. Not his fault, cost due to access issues getting to valve. Done by 1030. Honest, fast. Would call again.145.00 for drain clean40.00 to work on tub/shower

I thought it was going to be a lot more, and it wasn't. I was very happy. They came out very quick.

The job is good so far. They replaced the pipe and buried it and on top of it they let the dirt sink and they would come back in the spring and finish it. I had a lot of other work done by them over the years and they are very good. They are reliable and reasonably priced. Their price is consistent and I don't know of any other price. When I have a problem I call them.

We used them because they are in a neighborhood which was convenient for us.

We spent $751 including tax for their services. Their price was ridiculous. They did get here in time. The guy wasn't very professional. The value was nil because the price was so ridiculous. The work that they did and the price they charged, there was actually no correlation between those two whatsoever. We will never even think of using them again in the future.

Excellent result. They were very prompt and performed the work in an efficient manner. Excellent same day service.
