I have used Ed Young's plumbers numerous times. They are knowledgable, professional and dependable. One time I had a leak show up in the middle of my condo with no idea where it came from. They had to cut a hole in the wall but they diagnosed and fixed the problem. I doubt if any and quot;handymanand quot; could have done that so efficiently. The cost was reasonable. But the cost for the jammed disposal I thought was unreasonable. And then after I purchased a new faucet, they would have charged me another $165 to install it. Totally unreasonable price. I did it myself with the help of a friend! So if you have a serious problem, they are a good source. But for something simple - way too expensive.

Everything went well from phone call to house call. Needed a bathroom sink unclogged in an old house. Called Ed Youngs and arranged an afternoon to suit. Plumber arrived in good time after calling about five minutes before arriving, looked at the job, explained what was wrong and what he'd need to do, explained possible complications (which didn't arise), looked up the costs of the replacement bits and service charges and other possible bits needed if complications did arise, wrote down the cost of everything to check that I'd be happy to pay for what needed to be done, did the fixing in good time, cleaned the sink after the job, and was pleasant and courteous. I have used the company before and always had good service. I don't know how much other plumbers might charge, and I put a B only because I feel that everything these days is expensive, but for all I know Ed Youngs may be cheaper than other plumbers. However, I trust the company now and would always use them believing that they would not employ someone who was not good and that I could rely on their professionalism.

The staff was very excellent and I will definitely go back to purchase hardware. Their prices were a little high.

Just moved to a new place and couldnt find anyone who would come and hook-up my gas clothes dryer. As a single mom, having a dryer is very important. So, I called a plumber. They scheduled an appointment the same day, arrived on time and the service man was very professional. Thanks very much for your help!

It went fine. They have quite a variety of things. They are known for their plumbing too. The customer service is very good. Their prices are a little bit more than other places but not by much.

The kitchen sink drain had completely clogged. I initially called Roto Rooter and they were unsuccessful in opening the drain. Not only that, the company was most unprofessional in their customer interaction (see my other report on 5/1/2011 for that experience). Based on the bad experience with Roto Rooter and the fact that they were unsuccessful in unclogging my kitchen sink drain, I was not sure what kind of service I should expect from Ed Young's Plumbing. I was very pleasantly surprised at their thorough professionalism and their courteousness. The service provider, Gene, not only knew what he was doing, he was courteous and professional in his dealing with me. He gave me one price and a guarantee that he will open that drain for that price -- no change of price (unlike what Roto Rooter did midway). I would most most highly and without any reservations recommend Ed Young's Plumbing for any drain cleaning related work. Thank you Gene for a great service experience!

The first one they put in didn’t work but they came back the same day and replaced it.

I have used them before, and I trust them. They are very fair. Also they don't try to sell you things that you don't need. In the past they put together my new grill and delivered it in two hours. They go above and beyond their job.

I went on this company's website and used their form to ask if they did the kind of plumbing I needed. Before they had time to respond, I had already found somebody else -- I guess I wasn't very patient -- and left work to be home in time. But Ed Young's responded by e-mail shortly after I left work, and also tried calling my phone, and then actually sent a plumber to my house! I appreciated their effort and can certainly recommend their responsiveness.

Sump pump was broken and I was unable to fix it. Technician completed work quickly, professionally. Price was higher than expected however it was not a surprise. No problems at all. Overall good experience.

The process takes a while and the plumber who came out took the time to clear the pipe by hand vs mechanically to limit damage to the older pipe. He was professional and curtious but the most impressive was when he was given the opportunity to do addtional work he reviewed the setup of the piping in quiesiton and advised no work was necessary. I will definitely use them again.

They are courteous and they are pretty good about their estimates. In one case, in the process of doing the repair there was a problem and the price went up but they did try to fix the price. They are timely and they always call before they come.

Plumber was polite and pleasant and informative - not pushy. Work was done in good time and work area was left neat and clean.

We called at about 8:00 AM and he was here at 12:30 PM just as he said he would be. He even put a bag of soil we had down to cover the roots of a shrub where the soil was washed away, that scored high points with my wife.
