Description of Work: Cleaned my chimney and fireplace box. They were the only company that took off the dampner when cleaning my fireplace. They were at my place for about an hour and did a great job. I will use them next year for some repair and upgrading of my syatem.

Description of Work: We had Clean Sweep come to clean our chimney which had not been done probably in several years under the previous owner. They were flexible in booking the appointment. When the service person arrived he explained what he would be doing and made sure to cover the floors around the work area to keep things clean. He spent a good amount of time and then explained everything. At the time of the chimney cleaning, he noticed that our chimney did not have a cap and that most of our problems with downdraft and smoke in the room were because of acorns and leave more so than soot. We had a stainless steel cap installed at the time of the chimney cleaning which added to the original cost but still came in under $300. Everything works well now, even with strong wind conditions, so it was money well spent and a worthwhile expense that didn't break the bank. We plan on having them come out next year again.

+ -1 moreI called them on Tuesday and got a appointment the next day for a problem the home inspector found in a house we are purchasing. They drove 75 miles round-trip and worked for over two hours freeing up dampers, cleaning flues so that they could do the video inspection. They put down cloth to protect the floor and surrounding area. They provided me with both written reports, pictures, video and an estimate to fix problems. They were both knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I have never called them before, but have no hesitation in recommending them as their price and services were Incredible.
Description of Work: Video inspection of two flues. Loosing damper in one fireplace and cleaning necessary in order to do the video inspection.

+ -1 more.I was not very happywith this company because they did not follow-up on giving me information on how to fix the problem with my chimney. After the inspection the company never called back with an estimate after they told me they would get back to me in three days. The actual work he did on the inspection was good and he kept things clean but I would not use them again after they didn't get back to me with an estimate after they told me they would.

+ -1 moreThe fireplace is less than clean, and they did damage to my house, and were unresponsive and unprofessional in settling the issue.
Description of Work: Called for a sweep, they came out and charged me $100 or so, to tell me they couldn't do it, I needed a deep clean which would require a reschedule and 2 guys. I agreed. They came back a month later, charged me another $200. After they left, I noticed damage to my hardwood flooring, and ccalled immediately. I was told they'd take care of it, and spent a few weeks send pictures back and forth, and getting an estimate for repairs. They sent 2 more guys out to look at it. One told me they'd cut me a check the next busisness day. The estimate for repair was just under 1k. After several more days of phone tag, they offered me $500. I told them I didnt find that acceptable. They advised me they'd like their own floor guy to provide a bid, I agreed. I then played phone/email tag for another week or so. Eventually they responded that they spoke to their atty and would not be paying anything for the damages.

+ -1 moreService tech was on time, polite and professional. Took measures to protect the area around the fire place. Would never know he had been here. Suggestions were offered for comverting the fire place into a gas unit. He also checked an old wood burner, recommended not using as a heat source.

+ -1 moreI had Clean Sweep (project manager: Mark) quote and then subsequently rebuild two chimneys on my house. In terms of quoting, they weren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. The quoting process was very professional. After getting proposals from 5 companies, they were by far the most professional as well as reasonably priced. I hired them to rebuild two chimneys that were beyond repointing. They were very prompt, professional, and on-time. They completed the two chimneys in three and a half days. Everything looks great and has functioned well so far. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for sweeping (which I had done the year before) and chimney repair/rebuild work.
Description of Work: Rebuild two chimneys from the roofline up to the cap (which they were able to reuse).

+ -1 moreOn the first visit to clean the chimney, the worker was on time. He was very neat and put tarps on the floor from the front door to the chimney. The vacuuming and cleaning was done quickly and the chimney inspected. The work was done in about 35 minutes. A good job was done. On the second visit, screens caps were put on the top of the chimney. The worker did a very good job. It took a lot of effort to get to the roof but the worker was able to handle the ladders very well. He explained how the caps would work and how they would be secured with adhesive. I'm very happy with the work he did. The job took 30-40 minutes.
Description of Work: Clean Sweep came and cleaned out my chimney and checked the stability of the bricks. They also came back a week later and placed screen caps on top of the chimney.

+ -1 moreThis job takes all day. They were able to work while I was not home as long as they had access to power and water. They cleaned area fully before leaving and asked if I had any questions. The company has cleaned my chimmney before as well as installed a new glass fireplace face/grill.
Description of Work: Chimmney repointed and custom one piece placed on top. The motar joints from flashing to top of chimmney grounded out. Repoint with water resistant motar. Water proof entire chimmney, resealed flashing with tar. Installed custom stainless steele ring top with warranty.

He pointed out some mortar around our fireplace was a little loose, but we will fix that ourselves. The service call took about an hour.

They explained what they were going to be doing, what areas of the house they were going to be in, and roughly how long everything would take. The cleaning and inspection only took an hour. They were thorough, and went the extra length of removing the flue, cleaning and making a slight repair to it, and replacing it. Within two days they had provided an estimate to rebuild my chimney.

People actually walk by and ask when I got a brick chimney. It is funny. I had this done years ago and it only cost me about $800. This year it was a little higher but it still looks really good.
