Description of Work: About five years ago and work was outstanding at a fair price.

Description of Work: Replace entire driveway and added back yard patio. The crew is a very experienced and finely tuned team. Very polite and professional. Job was completed in one day. All the neighbors were very impressed. These guys are the best. Cost is a bit higher than other estimates but well worth it. I didn't have to deal with any of the headaches that neighbors had using other companies. Highly recommend Broad Spectrum.

Description of Work: they took apart my old driveway and re-paved with cement my wide driveway + the walkway to the side door of the garage. with stamped and painted borders. |the whole work was done within 3 days. they left the yard clean with hardly any damage to the grass around. well done. pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: I had a large decorative concrete patio installed. The finished project looks great. It took a little bit of work getting the design to what me and my wife were happy with but they were willing to work with me toward getting there. I would have liked a little bit more help exploring the different options. I did get a quote from one other installer which was significantly cheaper but I was convinced I would get a superior product from Broad Spectrum. I think the higher cost should have merited a bit more hand holding but they were pretty upfront explaining that they were a concrete expert, not a landscaper or drainage installer,.... | |Actual installation did not seem very professional to me. They left big divots in my yard and my neighbors yard from their machinery. They should have laid down boards to minimize this kind of damage. Also when the work was down, they left all sorts of trash and piles of dirt in my backyard as well as caked concrete droplets onto my mailbox (They did address the later by sending someone out to clean it when I complained.). | |After the concrete was poured, they sent someone out to powerwash the next day. This person was pretty rude clearly didn't want to talk to me and when he was done rang my doorbell and said a single sentence "One rule! Do not walk on the concrete" and then turned around and walked off. | |The next day, someone came out to seal the concrete. and the finished product looks great. | |There was a large amount of work to do by me filling the edges with topsoil and reseeding grass which it would have been nice knowing ahead of time that I would have this work to do. | |Overall, I'm happy but think things good have been down more professionally.

Description of Work: Concrete driveway which replaced a very aged asphalt driveway. The crew was very good and communicated well. The front office did not relay an arrival time to me so I was not prepared for the 7am arrival. The crew completed the removal of old and installation of new in one day...ours was an extremely large driveway. Having been through many renovations over the years, I was extremely impressed with the entire crew on professionalism. | |The front apron was asphalt and contracted out...this was the only problem. They did not arrive in a timely manner (should have been within a couple days of contact by Broad Spectrum as promised). I contacted broad spectrum and then the paving company directly. Intervention by Broad Spectrum front office was not effective until we contacted the owner ourselves. He called paving owner immediately and the apron was done within a couple days. This small part of the project took over 3 weeks to complete - I still rate the job as an A in spite of this delay. It's just one of those odd things that can happen.

Description of Work: They replaced driveway with new and added a extension to back pool area. |They were very professional and price was in middle of other estimates but fair. At end of a very cold winter I noticed a crack in three blocks on new driveway. I called, and owner Jim broad came out and had his crew replace cracked concrete with new and you can't even tell anything changed. I am so thrilled and impressed with there customer service and the way they have responded. I will recommend them to anybody with full confidence. Thank you

Description of Work: I have used two company's from here that have both rated "A", I have to question if these are bogus reviews that were submitted and that I had read. | |I have many pictures that I could upload because a picture will tell the whole story. the flat concrete work around the garage slopes to the garage and needed to be reworked to keep the water from laying against the garage. | |the stoops porch I had (2) of them done by broad spectrum and are the worst job that I have ever seen! they are out of square, out of plumb and slope to my house I would like to upload these pictures. | |When I talked with the salesman Kevin Conley has was very professional. We discussed what the scope of the project was to be and I was satisfied how the interview went after looking at their web site and seeing the pictures of what they have done in the past and also seeing that they had a "A" rating on angies list I choose them then other company's I had quotes from. | |The project that I wanted done was flat concrete work around the garage and to remove both porches (stoops) and pour new porches (stoops). After having multiple companies' give me quotes I choose Broad Spectrum Concrete solely based on Angie's list "A" rating and now I'm regretting this choice. | |I will start with the flat work that Broad Spectrum Concrete had done around the garage. The foremen Mike who ran the job site was irate and was trying to do everything to get out of here as fast as he could instead of doing a job professionally and with pride, I should have realized that this crew wasn't interested in doing an "A" rated job when first thing out of their mouths was where's the coffee and donuts. | |I'm spending close to $5000.00 worth of work I'm the one who should be getting coffee and donuts. | |The picture that I have shows what the area looked like, shows packed rock along the side of the garage and as you go to the back of the garage you can see it was dug out. It was drugged out because I had a giant stump that was ground up and I had the soil removed. | |Well Mike the foreman wanted to pour the concrete on top of the packed rocks along the side of the garage instead of digging it out and when I asked him what about burying the wood on the garage behind the concrete and what was I supposed to do when I get the garage sided next spring. | |His response was that it wouldn't be a problem with the siding of the garage. Well I should have kicked them off my property right then and there. I told him no and he started to stomp his feet like a little kid and complain about digging it up? They had the equipment to dig the ground up on the job site? | |As you could see in the pictures the concrete is not flat in some areas, the concrete slopes back to the garage, also there should have been an expansion joint between the concrete that runs along the back of the garage and the big pad. They should have also jack hammered out the corner of the big pad by the door and not have this big hole were water is going to get in and give me trouble. | |You can also see that there is no expansion joint at the bottom of the door area, they also poured the concrete right up to the bottom of the door, I told Mike that was not what I wanted done because of snow sitting up on the door but once again he wouldn't listen. | |Well let's now talk about the poor job that was done on the porches (stoops). Both porches were to be taken out completely and that was not done, they also drove nails into my asphalt driveway (I had just resealed this year) because they didn't bring the correct length of boards to support the forms for the porches from the side of the driveway were the fence is located and now I have holes all over the driveway. | |When I asked Mike the foreman and the salesmen Kevin Conley if I had a concrete driveway would you have driven nails into the concrete both of them said "YES"? | |The pictures shows how the concrete slopes back to my house (the side porch) and that there is a good size gap between the expansion joint and the concrete, the concrete slopes back to the house by ½" and when I showed this to Mike the foremen he said that the water wouldn't run back to the house (he must not have taken physics in high school) Kevin the salesman never came to my house to look at the poor workmanship of the job. | |You can also see how they brushed the concrete when it was too wet and have pulled the tiny stones out of the concrete. As you can see they buried the kick plate (wood) for the door behind the concrete instead of cutting it out and pouring the concrete back to the house and against the expansion joint. As you can also see that they buried the siding into the concrete and when I asked bot Mike and Pat Broad about this and what I'm supposed to do when I want to reside my house in a couple of years Pat said that the siding didn't need to be replaced. | |Pat Broad came out to the house to review the poor job that was done and when I showed him the concrete work around the garage he never commented on any of it. When I showed him the issues with the porches (stoops) his response was that he would caulk the area where it slopes at the house. | |I told him that I have to now caulk the porches every year? That's not what I should have to do with spending almost $5000.00. |I then get a call from Jim Broad and he left a message to call him back so they can schedule a time when they can come back and rip out the old porches and redo them. Well I called him back 3-4 times and he never called back until 2 weeks later saying he was out of the country. Well not one person has mentioned anything about the poor job that was done on the flat work around the garage! |Just look at the pictures and make your own mind up if this is an "A" rating job. |I'm mad as h*** and I've got to stop before I scream. |

Description of Work: I had them replace our long driveway, walk to front door, walk along side of garage and a small pad for firewood and garbage tote. I got two estimates and although they were slightly higher I liked their plan/details for the job better. They lived up to their reviews by doing an excellent job. The driveway looks great. They were timely, professional, cleaned up as needed and definitely take pride in their workmanship. I would recommend them to friends. Only question is why did I buy a house with such a long driveway?

Description of Work: This provider needs to update their website. No one wants to waste their time calling for an estimate based on an Angie's list ad or the companies website only to hear they do not do sidewalk replacements because they downsized. Maybe you're company downsized because you keep turning away "jobs too small for us"?

Description of Work: I met with a representative, he looked over my property to see the job I wanted and quickly stated that with a job this size, his company was fully booked and probably would not be able to get to me before it snowed. He was very professional and courteous. I thanked him and would certainly give this company my business in the future

Description of Work: Great job on sidewalk and large pad. A worker made an error on the stamping and Pat came out and they re-poured the whole pad.

Description of Work: Got. Estimate. Super professional. Even told me for my small job, I could do better on price elsewhere. For a bigger job I would not hesitate to call again.

Description of Work: Estimator came to house. He asked that I bring blueprints to office. Waited 40 minutes to have prints copied. Never heard from them again.
