Great - was actually ready to pay additional $400 to have a belt drive opener installed when I was told I don't need to fix what is not broken. Prompt HONEST and professional service. I know who I will be calling when I do need a belt drive opener! I still can't believe he had one on his truck, was ready to install and I was ready to pay .. and he said - you don't need it! Honesty and hard work.

They were courteous, did an excellent job, and are very dependable. Anytime I call them, they answer my questions right away.

Excellent, excellent work performed. We had no idea how awful our garage door was performing until Rick worked his magic and now the door glides almost silently and rests perfectly even on the ground. No more creaky door, bounce back or loud drop. Even the overhead light works when door is engaged. Rick's a super nice guy too- would definitely hire him again.

I called to get an estimate on replacing a garage door, and Rick came out within the hour (even though it was not an emergency) and told me that I didn't need a new door, I just needed some work done on the old door. In less than two hours, he made all the repairs and tune-ups needed and removed the temporary enclosure we had put up a few days earlier. It was perfect. The door goes up and down easily without any of the noise it had been making and without any further damage being done to the door. He could have easily priced out a new door for me and made a lot more on the job, but he was honest about that not being necessary. Saved me lots of money and time! Will definitely call him again and recommend him to others.

I was very surprised that this company delivered everything and more. The serviceman was just superb, not only did he identify the problem but he also placed a new sensor at no extra charge. I would HIGHLY recommend this company

My garage door main spring broke yesterday. This morning I found good reviews for A-1 Garage Door Service on Angieslist so I called him. I called at 9:30am, Rick said he could come at noon so I arranged to be home then. He showed up shortly after noon - we live way out in the country - and set to work right away. He replaced both main springs - one of which had broken. He also replaced the old weatherstripping seal upon my request. Two roller wheels were bad on the door so Rick replaced them also. Within two hours he was done and my door was back in service. He came prepared with the equipment and tools he needed to perform my repairs and completed the work very quickly. Rick at A-1 Garage Door Service gave me quick service and good garage door repairs at a reasonable price.

Very pleased with the work and will definitely use the provider again.

Woke up on a Saturday morning to open my garage door and the spring broke. A-1 was able to fit me in between two installs and replaced it in under an hour. Literally from call to fix it was 4 hours. The technician was professional, on time, and did a great job. The price, for a desperation call on a Saturday morning, was more than reasonable. He did basic maintenance on the rest of the door and gave me an honest assessment on replacement (the door is 30 years old). Though I'm not replacing the door I will be calling A-1 to do it when I do.

I called Rick on Friday. He quoted me a price over the phone and said he'd be out about 4:30 that very afternoon. He later called and said he'd unfortunately double booked that time and would have to reschedule. He was very apologetic and he rescheduled for the next day, 9:00 AM. Can't ask for better than that!. He arrived promptly, removed the old system and installed the new one before noon. The new system works perfectly and the price was exactly what he quoted. He acted very professionally, and was obviously well experienced. I'd definitely hire him again and would gladly recommend his services to my friends and family members. KUDOS!!!

I went with A-1 due to their highest rating on AngiesList and I'm glad I did. After narrowing down a date that both worked for us (this job was right around Christmas) he got to work bracing my door which had a dent in it. He also took down the old opener, installed a new opener, and gave the door a tune up. The door works awesome now and I couldn't be happier. If you're like me and only choose a highly rated AngiesList service provider, you won't be disappointed. I'll be calling A-1 Garage Doors from now on!

I called in Morning. Mr. Larkin said that he could come at 4PM and indeed he arrived a few minutes earlier. He went right to work and completed everything within the hour. His work was professional, he was courteous and efficient.I was well satisfied.

I called A-1 Garage Door Service on a Sunday morning not expecting a call back until the next day. Much to my surprise the owner Rick answered my call early Sunday morning, and was at my house working on my door within an hour. Within another hour Rick had my door completely fixed and working smoothly. Rick was friendly, helpful, and responsive. For any Garage Door issues I would highly recommend A-1 Garage Door Service. They are Great !!!.

Rick provided a firm quote over the phone, showed up within the time frame indicated and performed the work same day [replaced springs]. Also provided new cables at no charge and adjusted the rails. Also provided alternative solutions and different price options, which was very helpful. Would definitely recommend him and would definitely use him again.

He did a beautiful job on my garage. He was prompt, courteous, and pleasant to work with. He cleaned up after the job was finished. I was very happy with all the work.

Rick did a GREAT job. He gave us a quote over the phone and honored it even after determining we needed upgraded springs. He did have to come back because one of the cables slipped, but he was quick at getting the job done and even replaced a few worn wheels at no charge. He didn't have my phone number, so he stopped by when he was in the area. I was thrilled that he caught me at home! He checked out the door and I was pleasantly surprised that it could be fixed for about $150. I thought I needed a new door! In no time he had the door working perfectly. He was courteous and friendly. I felt he was very proficient. I was 100% satisfied with his work. I would call him again and recommend him to friends and family.

I asked for a break down of cost in the estimate. He would not give me the information. He got very belligerent with me and eventually he hung up on me.

A spring on our garage door broke Saturday evening. We called the company Monday morning; he was able to make the appointment for that afternoon. He arrived on time, gave me options about how to fix the problem and did the job while he was here. He was very pleasant and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

I Called for service appointment on Monday and received an appointment for the next afternoon. Rick showed up on time , evaluated the problems quickly and explained how he would repair the door. Within an hour he had installed the parts and the door works great. One thing worth noting is that as a senior citizen I felt very comfortable with his polite manners and no high pressure attitude. I would recommend him highly and would use him again for sure.

Service provided was excellent. Calibrated the door to make it go up a bit higher and adjusted the chain so that it was no longer hanging. Also replaced the rollers and lubricated the hinges. Very professional, showed up exactly on time and I would recommend to anyone needing garage service.

A-1 Garage Door did a wonderful job on inspecting our ~20 year old garage door and opener. So minor adjustments and repairs were required. They were fixed on the spot for a modest cost. The door is working better than ever. The technician was slightly late from the appointment time, due to getting the wrong address from Angie's List. It was such a small issue, I hate to really mention it. I would use this vendor again.
