Description of Work: Arrived on time and fixed several pipes that had burst. Fixed everything in one day and have not had any problems with the pipes. Sent knowledgeable plumbers who explained everything they did.

Description of Work: These guys are the best. I would use them over and over again as well as recommend them over and over. They assessed my issue quickly and repaired quickly as well and didn't make a mess.

Description of Work: I have a stacked washer/dryer unit that was installed without the condensate dryer drain hose being hooked up. I called Stanley Lewis on Wed and they were there Thurs morning. They connected the hose. No more leak. It was more complicated and heavy-duty than it sounds. The two-man crew was genial, capable, and smart. And they were done in two hours. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: I contacted this Company based on the reviews. I needed two Toto toilets installed. I called on a Thursday and Erica, who answered the phone, said it could be done on Friday. I said I didn't need it on Friday, she said that was better for her, they would do it on Monday and she requested the insurance information my building requires and I gave it to her. We then confirmed a time. On Monday morning she called and said she was having a problem obtaining the insurance information even though the company was usually very responsive and that she would call them to get the proof of insurance. I waited awhile for her to call back. When she didn't call I called her and she told me there was no answer at the insurance company so we rescheduled for the next day because she believed she could resolve the problem by then. On the afternoon before the toilets were supposed to be installed she called me and said she would have to reschedule a second time because they wouldn't be able to do the work at that time. I might have been okay with that but during our conversations I asked for a ballpark estimate for the price of the installation - nothing precise - just ballpark. A man got on the phone and said he doesn't give estimates for Toto toilets over the phone but when I told him it didn't have to be precise he gave me a wide price range. They tell you from the beginning that when they come to your house you have to pay for the estimate if they don't do the work but I wasn't concerned about that because I knew I wanted the work done. There was a certain surliness that I wasn't comfortable with but I decided to carry on. I guess I would say that the appointment change was the straw that broke the camel's back. I feel that any company that wants to be on Angie's List should have certain standards and I was not impressed by any of my contacts with these people. It's the kind of company I joined Angie's List to avoid.

Description of Work: I needed to replace my boiler. I called for an estimate and the receptionist said someone would get back to me to arrange an appointment. Never heard back.

Description of Work: They were professional and scheduled me for appt in very timely manner. However I did not like the $125 service charge, and they seemed too expensive on the reviews. I ultimately went with another very responsive excellent plumber who charged an hourly reasonable rate. There was no initial $125 charge

Description of Work: Mr. Lewis himself came out to view a potential problem with a gas line and a gas meter because he was close by. He was courteous, direct and forthcoming. Because the particular situation I had called him about didn't seem to be an issue there was no work done on my building. In the future I wouldn't hesitate to call again.

Description of Work: The plumber unclogged a kitchen sink. He was both professional and polite. He also went above and beyond duty by giving advice on maintaining the pipes to avoid future clogs.
