They charged us $645 for a useless procedure and have since refused to respond to my complaints. Stanley Lewis plumbing sent two guys to snake an exploratory camera down our sewer to see why we were getting sewage water into our basement. They spent no more than 1/2 hr and charged us $645. They reported that our victorian sewer was in perfect condition. Unfortunately the sewer water continued to come into our house. We have since had two additional scopes plus die tests both confirming the corroded cast iron pipe was leaking badly into the soil and draining into our basement. I would not recommend this company to do any work. They sent technicians who did not perform their job properly and are negligent about customer service and follow up. I am extremely dissatisfied.

Cliff was responsive and professional. He came early found the leak and repaired it.

My Rheem high efficiency hot water heater broke while still under warranty but manufacturer said it would be a 40 business day supply delay due to COVID production issues! Stanley Lewis worked very **** ** finding me a solution with another manufacturer that would not require additonal piping. Hot water heater on 4th floor of my NYC townhouse and that added to the instalation issues. Mr. Alex Lewis and his technical team were very responsive, professional and personable in handling my situation.

I have a contract with homeserv, this company is contracted with homeserv. Yesterday I put in a service call with homeserv: homeserv then assign this stanley Lewis, to my residence. Two of their workers came to my home; insisting there is an object in my drain, pretending to unclog my drain with the snake. The. Ask me for paper towel as I walk away; they said they pull a coil out of my drain; which was huge and could not possibly fit in my drain. And if it that medal was in my drain, my drain still was not cleared up. They said they will have to replace piping to unclog my drainage, which has a price tag of $1,200. I decline. So I contacted a plumbing company which was not contracted with homeserv. The technician came in unclogging my drainage, there was a lot of hair in my drainage. My drainage is totally cleared, and is working fine. The cost $50. I will no longer do business with Stanley Lewis.

We are extremely happy with how things went. Everything was handled promptly and professionally, from our first call to our final payment. Communication was excellent. The technician who came to do the job — Cliff — arrived right on time and quickly determined and resolved our problem, answering all our questions and explaining exactly what was wrong and the steps he was taking to fix things. He also respected our concerns about safety given the current Covid 19 threat. We will definitely be recommending this company and using it again.

I just googled "Plumbers near me." And I got the best - Stanley Lewis / Alex & Co. They were fast, efficient, very smart, hard working and courteous. Got my Gas Piping up to code - passed the Grid Inspection - and restored my service. Very grateful. Good job! And, pointed out a potential water problem - solved as well - beautifully.

Stanley Lewis has been my go-to plumber for roughly 10 years. Everything from annual boiler inspections to burst water lines. They are great!

Our experience with Stanley Lewis was as good as customer service gets. Our water heater died and after being given an estimate that was highway robbery I called SLPH and I could not be more grateful for all their help and kindness. Paperwork went quickly back and forth the installers came and were fast and respectful of our home. I could not recommend this company more. Michelle who answered my call was fantastic and even made me laugh during a very unfunny time. Well priced and lovely humans.

These guys were so great and wouldnt give up on locating and fixing the leak. It looked as if I might have to tear out shower and wall but they were determined to fix it even though it took above and beyond efforts from both of them. Polite, smart, hard-working, great guys. I can't say enough good things about them.

I called and set up an appt. I was never given any quote for the job, but I was told to pay $125 for the initial visit. A rep. called and even asked me if I received a quote for the job with ANGIE'S list and I told him no. I was surprised since this is a common job that they must do all the time. I was expecting one worker and two showed up on the day of the service. They quoted me $535 for the job and I was in total shock. After I called the company and they kept texting back and forth with their boss I was quoted $465 and then it was taken down to $435 if I paid with a credit card and if I paid via cash they would charge less than that. Why?? They charged me tax since I paid with a credit card totaling $435. This was a complete rip off, plus I never received the proper receipt that I was promised via email all week after the job was done. When I call the company they do not answer when they see my telephone #. I will never use them again nor recommend their services. What happened Angie's List??

They came to do an estimate, then never gave me a final number after calling twice.

It went very well "all in all". I called & hired them on a Saturday for a gas leak that I thought was corrected by someone else even though every other plumber I called was not doing gas leak work on a Saturday. I had to also leave the country a few days after that. To be clear the whole building including a restaurant had no heat, cooking gas or hot water. The problem took a couple of weeks to fix from "start to finish" but it was not due to a result of plumbers not showing up or lack of effort. Many logistics were involved that are too much to list here. To a small extent, the plumbers office even communicated with my tenants via email while I was away to avoid a collapse in communications. In once instance, they even came out briefly on a Sunday (no one does that in NYC) to check on one of the no heat apt's during NYC's brutal cold front. The pricing was not cheap & some costs were unexpected but the problem was fully resolved.

We called Stanley Lewis Plumbing and they sent Anthony out the same day to assess the issue and provide an estimate. Once the estimate was approved by corporate we scheduled Anthony to come back out to install the new parts and get our sink operable. Our appointment happened to be during a snow storm but Anthony arrived during the allotted time window provided by the office and made the necessary repairs to get our sink functioning properly. The process was seamless from start to finish and the Anthony was quick, pleasant, and quite knowledgeable. We added Stanley Lewis Plumbing to our list of approved vendors and look forward to utilizing their services in the future.

Well. Erica who answered my phone call was helpful, efficient and friendly. Cliff and Many arrived within the time period and diagnosed and fixed the toilet quickly. They were pleasant and professional.

We made the appointment for the next day since we had to turn the water off to our building. The gentlemen arrived 20 minutes early. They quickly assessed the problem with the shower was a faulty mechanism that was installed during our previous repair. They called the office and had a new part brought out immediately. They then went on to repair the broken valves and bring them up to code. They were very communicative and walked us through everything they were doing. They understood we were dealing with an insurance claim, and they were more than happy to let us take photos of each step of the process and diligently explain everything. We felt very comfortable with their professionalism and knowledge.

He was fantastic! He cleaned up after himself and his prices were reasonable, I paid half the price from what another company tried to charge me. They gave us references within 1 day and I will recommend them to others.

They provided excellent service and were very professional and very clean when working. Plumbers arrived on time. Price was very fair!

Handling the appointment was fine and we were scheduled for 8:30 Sat. morning. At 8:55 I received a phone call from the company saying the driver should be there, maybe in less then half an hour. At 10:15 I called the company to find out where the driver was, he was two hours late. Two men arrived at 10:30 to hook up the unit. Why 2 men? They advised that the plug would need to be changed for the outlet and I should schedule an electrician, ok I will do that. It took then less then 1/2 hour to do the work, they also mounted a small box I had on the wall for the venting. They were rude and unprofessional. Although my 27 year old daughter was the one I left in charge the men didn't want to speak to her, they wanted to speak with my visiting son in law who was unfamiliar with what I wanted. Also, I can no longer close the closet door in front of the unit because you can't push the machine back far enough. The entire process a complete failure and I was charged $386!! I've never had a bad experience with Angie's list recommendation before, I will be more cautious next time.
