Description of Work: I am a native Southerner and have come to expect little when it comes to customer service since I moved up North. Sessa was such a refreshing surprise. They were cordial, polite and efficient from the moment I first contacted them by phone. An appointment was very quickly scheduled to have a new toilet and shower contraption installed. Frank who performed the work arrived on time. He quickly assessed the situation and gave me a quote on the spot before beginning any work. After he finished, he completely cleaned up all debris (making numerous trips to the basement and rubbish room). He also took the time to explain everything that he did. I had a small glitch with the toilet and Frank came back on a Saturday and quickly repaired it. Great work Sessa!

Description of Work: I know that other reports for man@work were favorable. But I found him to be arrogant - was condescending. Maybe just a personality clash. I advised him that I would be getting the supplies wholesale. He told me that "I am really expensive." He kept interrupting me and seemed like he was in a hurry to leave - that perhaps the job wasn't big enough for him although I was specific in my email.

It is obvious that he knows what he is doing and helps you tackle the stuff you just need to get done -- he does it or advises you on what you need to do to get the job done. He is a great resource for work that he does not perform and he will not refer you to anyone he would not let into his own home. He is resepctful of your home and space and will not leave behind some mess to clean-up after. Bottom-line. Bob is old-school, trustworthy, reliable and will get the job done the right way the first time. And he stands by his work with a guarantee. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

 + 1 moreIt went well. We desperately needed help with our shower and once Bob came over we had no doubt we chose the right person for the job. He removed the shower doors, removed a section of tiles and the faucet, replaced sheetrock, bought new tiles to replace broken ones (they were already broken), removed old caulk, recaulked. It looks great! Some of our basement stairs started to come loose. Bob secured them and they feel nice and sturdy now. We have more things that need to be done and we will be calling Bob back as we save for them.
Description of Work: Repaired section of shower wall where tiles had come loose, and recaulked tub. Also repaired basement stairs that were becoming loose.

 + 0 moreWe had a persistent problem with the caulking around our tub, which had led to leakage and water damage. Two previous attempts to fix the problem didn't work (aarrrgghhh), and eventually we tried Bob because of the good reviews he received here. He responded promptly to our phone call, came by to check out the situation, and gave us a clear and sensible analysis of the problem and the options for dealing with it. We hired him to do the job, which has just been completed. He was nice, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use him again for other household problems.
Description of Work: We needed our bathtub and some other areas in the bathroom recaulked.

His rate is extremely fair for the quality and level of service he provides, and he sticks to his price. I appreciated the ease of communicating with him via email to schedule my appointment. He easily assembled my new treadmill, ensured it worked properly, disposed of trash from the packaging, and left my home clean. I will call him for any home-related work going forward without question, and have already begun to recommend him to my neighbors. I recommend him highly!

 + -1 moreMr. Sessa was very professional. He came to my home and evaluated the job, gave me an estimate (which he stuck to) and finished the job by the time he said he would. He was very meticulous throughout; he made sure that everything was done correctly to his high standards. The closets are absolutely beautiful! They were a mess before but now they are a neat, upscale haven where my husband and I can get ready. Choosing a contractor is not easy- but be rest assured that if you pick man@work you are choosing the best!

 + 0 moreWhen I opened the door to my new house after closing, I was skeptical about how I would be able to transform it in to a "home" that I would absolutely love. Robert was able to see past the current state of the house as it was and assure me that when he was finished it would look like a brand new place! He gave me an estimate for the work, scheduled and appointment and got started. He showed up on time as promised, cleaned up after himself and even pet my dog before he left each day. The quality of the materials used and work performed was far superior than that of any contractor I have used in the past. I am thrilled with my new new home and cannot believe the transformation! I will call Robert back for all of my handyman needs.
Description of Work: I called Robert to install crown molding and new trim throughout as well as to replace the 3 bedroom doors, 2 bathroom doors and 3 closet doors including the hardware to go with them! When that work was complete, I called Robert back again to hang all of my artwork, curtain rods and window treatments.
