The experience I had with Ivan and Roman was wonderful. They were punctual and focused. Any work done was carefully explained and any questions I had whether related to the job or not were courteously answered. I had a television repair man here on the same day to repair a T.V stand for my flat screen TV. The repair man was unable to put the stand together. Ivan said he would take a look and had it put together in no time. They worked beyond the time allotted for the deal, but were reasonable in the extra charges. Punctual, focused, courteous, you can't ask for more.

It was kinda upsetting because I scheduled the time off and he couldn't do the work.The customer doesn't know exactly what they need to purchase for a job. The provider should come first and let them know so there is no confusion. Also they shouldn't down talk other work that other companies have done in your home prior to them being there.

They showed up and said that it required more electrical work so he said he couldn’t do it.

Progress was very accommodating and incredibly professional. I have had 4 different contractors come and give me estimates, saying it would take multiple days up to a week. Progress came and did the job in one DAY. Although they were heavily booked, they understood the scope of the work/craft and were able to squeeze me in. There are many times they asked for my input to how they were doing. I found their work acceptable, but they were so detail orientated they insisted on perfecting everything. Even though I might like it, they believe they can do better. Although their price range was the highest of my estimates they were worth professionalism. Save yourself the trouble of hiring/firing multiple contractor/handyman to do one job. Pay the guys to have it done right the first time around.

Very happy with the end product, as well as the team. Roman and Ivan are highly skilled craftsmen who take great pride in their work. My wife and I began engaging contractors and handymen following a botched basement remodel from a previous contractor. We brought in a handful of companies for piecemeal projects and kept on the Progressive team after seeing the quality of their work. In the end, they ended up doing all of the remaining work, and proved to have both the depth and breadth of skills required to complete the job to our specifications. The list of work they performed is as follows... * Finish framing * Drywall (hanging, finishing) and sofits * Window replacement and boxing * Spackle * Painting * Molding and trim work * Subfloor installation * Hardwood floor installation * Stairs refinishing * Door Frame & Hanging They ended each workday with good communications to us on the work they did (as well as remaining work required), and always left the work area clean of materials, debris and dust. They proved to be professional and pleasant and will always be welcomed in our new home.

We moved into a new apartment recently and didn't like a strip of "accent" tile in the bathrooms. Thinking it would be easy work to remove the ugly tiles and put up new ones, more to our liking, we hired a couple of handymen - not through Angie's List - to do the work. They did a terrible job - uneven tiling, sloppy. We found Ivan and his team through Angie's list. They sent someone to the apartment promptly to give us an estimate. While not cheap, he seemed very professional and we hired him. We were very pleased with the result. Ivan was responsive and punctual and kept the place very tidy. He took pictures of the wall behind the tiles and showed us that the previous work was even worse than we'd thought (they'd actually stuck bits of wood and paper on the wall to make it even for the tiles). Ivan took care of everything and even fixed up little things in the bathrooms that we hadn't realized were incorrect.

Ivan and Roman are true professionals and great people. They were proficient at their job and finished in one day as promised. I am very happy to have used them for this project and intend to use them for others as well. I highly recommend them.

Ivan arrived on time. We discussed the work and what he was able to do in the time frame. We also discussed that he was unable to do one of the jobs we did not have time and materials. Ivan was responsive to my needs and request. The work was done in a professionally way and it was well done. I would highly recommend him for any drywall jobs. He also helped me with other issues around my home. I will be using them again for futur work around the my home.

I previously hired Progress off an Angies list big deal for handyman services. I was so impressed with their work and work ethic that I hired them for more work. I own a 70 year old house that needs a lot of repairs. I had a plaster wall that was significantly damaged by the black glue the previous owner used to install wood paneling. Progress removed all the glue, then completely replastered the wall (multiple coats), made it level with the other walls (it was slightly set back with a gap on the edges on both sides), then replaced crown molding and primed it for me to paint. They also repaired cracks in another plaster wall. Both walls look perfect now. They worked fast, efficiently, and at a competitive cost. They respond to inquiries quickly, show up on time, and are very diligent and attentive to detail. I look forward to hiring them for my next big project (a large project to repair my old wood floors). I know that they will do an excellent job. I am very happy with their work.

From the first meeting through the installation and completion of the whole project, Ivan was very professional and helpful and provided great assistance in product selection and design choice. The job was completed in a timely manner, the installation was excellent and my family and I are more than happy with the outcome.

The service was amazing, from the first email all the way through the visit. They were prompt and very professional. They repaired the wall for the quoted fee and did an excellent job. They were also cleanly and respectful to my home. They didn't mind my dog greeting them either (even though she was the culprit). The wall was repaired in about 2 hours and you can't tell any work was done. I would highly recommend Progress for your home needs.

The provider was on time, very friendly and explained all work as it was done. he answered all of my questions and even went the extra mile to save me money by improvising antennas for the cameras. I will use them in the future for my projects. I am a very satisfied customer. these guys are great!!!!!!

The guys were great, professional, and were nice enough to give me some drywall tips as well. The only downfall was that þe four hour we bought was actually two guys for two hours. I wish that had been a little clearer. However, they did stay a little late to clean up and finish the last couple of items.

I initially hired Progress through an Angie's List Big Deal, and was happy enough with their work that I hired them to do this bigger job. They again showed up on time, were clear with me about what they were doing to complete the project, and on the whole did a very good job for a reasonable price. As this company offers high quality work at fair prices, I will definitely be hiring them again.

Ivan arrived punctually and was available at short notice. He was courteous and quick and the services were done at a high standard. Ivan obviously takes pride in his work and is building a good reputation for his business. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

I wanted to give an update and let my fellow Angie's list users know that I had Roman and Ivan back to my home again this year to help me with a second project which included a water leak problem we were having with our basement foundation wall. Once again the quality of their service was excellent and the pricing was extremely fair. They transformed my cluttered basement into a beautiful space replacing the old damaged carpet and installing really nice floor tile throughout. They took their time and were very thoughtful and methodical in figuring out where the leak was coming from. These two guys are extremely trustworthy and can be trusted not to rip you off. My husband is an architect and works with a lot of different contractors and is generally hard to please but he was extremely happy with the how our basement turned out and we are very thankful for Roman and Ivan I will definitely plan to have them back when I redo my bathroom next spring! Last years evaluation: I generally never write reviews, however, Roman and Ivan definitely deserve a shout out and I give them an A+ rating. From the start they returned my initial phone call and made an appointment to view the job very soon thereafter. They gave me a very fair estimate to repair the damaged walls in our basement caused by water seeping into the exterior wall cracks that caused a major mold problem. In the past I have used the services of various other handymen and each time I was disappointed or felt like I was ripped off for the services provided. It was extremely refreshing to have someone like Roman and Ivan come into my house and evaluate the situation and provide a fair price and complete the work in the agreed upon time frame. I also very much appreciated the fact that this team was extremely neat and cleaned up so when the job was complete you weren't left with a mess.

I have to give Ivan a glowing review. He was friendly and extremely helpful! Not only did he perform the service requested, he also helped me with another problem in our home. He was receptive and accommodating, providing flexibility in scheduling and was not pushy even when I was indecisive. He worked swiftly and the results look great! I was so impressed that I begin to show him other projects that we need to have done in our home and I definitely will be hiring him and ISL Progress to perform that work for us. Ivan and his co-worker went the extra mile for me. Angie's List did not reflect my change in address, despite my requests, which means that they were sent to the wrong place. They arrived an hour late but did not charge me for that hour, even though the mistake was not theirs. They worked diligently and professionally, they were very nice and had a great attitude, and the quality of their work was excellent. I would highly reccommend Progress for any handyman services, and I would definitely use their services again if I need them.

They were good. They were efficient. They came on time and everything was good. We didn't use their services. They were very efficient. I called them, they came. It was nice. Everything was great.

I cannot praise Roman and his colleagues highly enough. They covered all aspects of the job with professionalism and courtesy: - moved some of the furniture that was in the way - covered the entire work area to prevent any damage to floors or pictures on the adjacent walls - explained the job to the super when he came around - removed all the garbage daily - painted the adjacent walls and the ceiling - picked up the doors and frames from IKEA (an excellent and cheap alternative for sliding doors in NYC) - and of course did a beautiful job on both closets, removing old frames, putting up new drywall, installing new frames and doors and painting the interior. Overall, excellent and stress-free experience. Two closets were done as separate jobs (our decision as we were leaving for vacation). Both jobs took 3 and 4 days each and the team did their best to make our lives in the apartment as comfortable as possible. Not sure when or what we'll do next, but will definitely call up Roman about any future job.

Roman was very courteous and worked very cleanly and even wore booties on his shoes. I would definitely hire him again.

Best contractors/handymen I have ever worked with, they were quick, polite, punctual, hard working and didn't even take a bathroom break during the time they were working!

Ramon arrived on time. He worked efficiently. He was polite. He was professional. He fulfilled the task with no problems.

They did an excellent job. They stayed a little late to get the work done, and worked very fast. Excellent work ethic. I am planning on hiring them for a bunch of other jobs in my house. Just got a price quote, and they gave me an excellent price. Very happy with Progress!!
