I had Ivan do some sheet rock work about 1/2 a year ago. When the bigger jobs popped up, I looked him up on Angie's list again, and read some reviews of the larger jobs he had done with the other fellas he works with. These guys are the real deal. I really couldn't be happier with what they do, and how they do it. They are truly professional from providing estimates via email, communicating via text, showing up early, working quickly and efficiently throughout the day and cleaning up after themselves at the end of each day! When I asked if they could seal the drafts around my windows and insulate around the frames, they of course could do it, but saw what little effect it would have as the age of the previous insulation won out over its efficiency. They suggested a bigger and costlier alternative, that would save me in the long run. I slept on it and discussed it and compared the options, and of course, they were right, it would have been a waste to do half the job. It didn't matter to them, but it was the smart thing to do. ALL of the suggestions they made, which weren't that many, they pretty much did what I had asked them to do, but when they did suggest something, it was clearly from experience. Plus, seeing how they work, and who they are.... I just trust them. I can only say good things regarding Progress. I appreciate the quality of their work, the way they communicate, and that they just get it done. You order what you want, they pick it up and do the work. I was pleasantly surprised as how much they accomplished in a short period of time. And, they do it all well too. And they are super nice guys on top of it. I had put off some of these repairs for a long time, not wanting to deal with the stress of contractors after previous bad experiences. This was a pretty stress free experience. (I mean the usual picking out stuff and places not having what you want etc, still applies, but they went where I could find the items closest to what I wanted. They drove to Staten Island for my windows, just to get the job done quickly?!) Everything that I had asked of them is done. My new custom window coverings arrived after they finished and he is coming back to oversee the removal of the last bits of debris, and install the blinds! I mean, who does this?! I'm going to save up and have them come back to complete the other items on my wish list! They are very fair as well, very important to note that. I never felt they overcharged. When my mom questioned the pricing for installing the ceiling molding, Ivan adjusted the price to make her happy and get the job done! He didn't have to do that. It wasn't unreasonable what he was asking, but he lowered his price anyway. (thank you for that Ivan!) TOTALLY recommend Ivan, Roman and Ivan. No holds barred!

Progresss was the Sub-Contractor which performed my bathroom renovation, via M2C1 Design Inc. They performed all the work, which included demolition, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and tile work. Mr Roman Dubek and his entire crew were nothing short of awesome. They displayed honesty, professionalism, and were meticulous during the entire renovation process. They spared no effort and always asked my input and opinion in order to complete the perfect job. When the bathroom was completed, I also had them do various household jobs. I really wish I could find a negative to say, but I must say the entire process was a huge positive. The bathroom came out amazing, and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Roman and his entire crew. Thanks again Progess!!

Great work and a "can do" attitude. They were on time every day, professional, and willing to accommodate additional requests after the fact. They have a wide range of skills and are very knowledgeable about their trade. I would definitely recommend them to a friend and look forward to working with them in the future.

Ivan and Roman were very professional. They had to first remove the damaged area, then replace it. My ceiling and walls are now smooth with no sign of water damage. They also cleaned up very nicely, leaving no trace of debris.

The two handymen were professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves, and finished the tasks I requested. I was very satisfied.

They were very punctual, friendly, informative and efficient. They explained exactly what they needed to do and why, accommodating the old wiring in my pre-War building.

This is a long overdue review! In short, the work done was excellent. There were many items on the list, and all were met to our satisfaction. We had them paint window sills, install new doors, patch up holes of various sizes, hang up a TV, etc. They were both professional and courteous. We used Angie's List reviews as our search criteria, and i did not fail. We will be using them again, as they pointed our a few more things we need to address. The price was right and their work ethic was one of diligence. You can tell that they did not want to leave until it met their standards. It is hard to find that anymore.

Excellent work, as I've come to expect from Progress. Ivan and Roman are always prompt, professional, and show an attention to detail that some others lack. My project became complicated when they took down the old cabinets and the 70 year old walls came down with them. They put up new insulation and drywall, then fixed the plumbing, put down a new tile floor, installed new cabinets, installed microwave/hood, installed under cabinet lighting, and put up a tile backsplash. They have done other projects for me in the past but this is the biggest one so far, and they did not disappoint. I love the new kitchen. Beautiful job.

Excellent work and service. Great attention to detail, even doing extra work I didn't think of for a more attractive fit. Consultation on other work in the space. Plus stand up, congenial guys to have around.

I had a mold problem in my basement and the company I used remediated the mold but then didn't close the walls back up. I called Progress and they came by the next day at my convenience, took measurements and sent me a quote the next afternoon. They had one of the lowest prices and were the most pleasant and professional so I went with them. I'm glad I did. They were timely and efficient. But most importantly they did great work. At one point they realized that the mold specialist I'd hired hadn't gotten rid of the all of the mold so they actually did some additional remediation for me (at a small fee). Overall I thought the quality of their work was great and they left everything completely clean when they left. I would definitely use them again for any contracting needs.

The overall experience was extremely positive. Ivan and Roman are a great pair. They were very conscientious about the quality of their work and very respectful of my apartment. They made many suggestions whether about the work I requested and they were always right as to what would look better or that their suggestion was more practical. I was so satisfied that I already have them pricing out a few other jobs around my apartment.

Arrived on time. Immediately removed old bathroom sink, the cabinet, and the light fixture. They got to work on installing a vanity sink with drawers that hang from the wall. They also hung my new cabinet and light fixture. I had the wrong parts for some of the things, and they went out and quickly got the right parts. They hung the sink and drawers from the wall which was definitely a tricky installation. In the end everything looks AMAZING! They did an absolutely perfect job. Not to mention it only cost me $180 and they stayed for about 5 hours until the job was done. I couldn't have asked for a more successful service. I am going to use them again next month for more home renovations.

Although it took a few days to get an appointment scheduled ? which I usually give contractors some slack on, since by trade they're not sitting at a phone or a computer all day ? the day finally arrived for my appointment with Progress. They were running late because of traffic but called me to let me know their new ETA, and arrived at the rescheduled time. Roman and Ivan were courteous and very professional, and I was quite impressed with them. They took meticulous care in keeping the place clean ? catching dust with sponges and plastic sheeting, collecting debris and cleaning everything up at the end of the job, even wearing booties over their shoes ? and consulted with me about job parameters (i.e. where the shelf could or could not go due to the wall beams) throughout. They installed all four items quickly and without any problems. Everything looks great and I'm very pleased with the work. I'd certainly use them for a job in future.

Ivan and Roman of Progress were excellent! They showed up in a timely matter; were courteous; were very respectful of my home by wearing covers on their shoes; and were very professional and meticulous in their work. They completed all jobs as requested, except for one because I did not have the correct size of exterior louvre vent. They explained the situation, measured for a new size vent and told me they would attempt to find the correct size. I couldn't ask for better service. They even went a half hour over the agreed upon timeframe and did not charge me extra. I was a very happy customer overall and would use them again. Thank you Progress!

Ivan and Roman arrived on time. We established start time. They went right to work, They completed the job with no hesitation and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy.

They were a great help to me. I purchased one of the Angie's List deals as I was looking for a Handyman. They were on time. They were pleasant and diligent in their work. As they had time left over, they asked me if I wanted them to check the attic for the possible leak (I had a plumber come to the house the night before and it was decided that the leak was not coming from any of my pipes in bathroom or kitchen). The plumber suggested that I have my roof checked. When Ivan and his partner were done with their original work, they proceeded to make a quick check of the attic and they were the ones who discovered the broken pipe on the a/c unit. They did volunteer to do the work, but, as mentioned above, I have an HVAC contract. I am already making lists of things that need or may need to be done. I would recommend them highly. Great find!

For the record, I did not use this company so I could not speak of quality of work. I asked for a quote to install 3 window air conditioners and they wanted $1000. This boils down to $350 per unit; more than what I paid for each AC. I know this is not standard. NYC has put new laws into effect that AC units should be mounted with a bracket that costs anywhere from $30-$50 depending on size of unit. Co-ops are also recommending that professionals install your window AC. I am afraid that companies like this one are taking advantage of this by charging ludicrous prices. Luckily I know better. Please do some shopping around because the prices vary greatly.

They completed the job under the time planned. Both Ivan and Roman were pleasant and professional. The first day they totally demo both spaces and brought it down to the wood on the floor. Once they removed the cabinets and saw that they were in total disrepair, they went looking for new cabinets and brought me a selection within the original budget. So I was very happy to have new cabinets along with new ceiling, pop lights and new flooring. They give me additional outlets, which was much needed in my kitchen. I made the mistake of not going with their recommendation for under cabinet lighting and that was the only thing I did not like that had been done. They replace it immediately with what they had recommended and I am so happy. I can't say enough good things about this company. Glad we have an Angie's list to find this kind of quality workmanship. I am already planning on my next project with them. Check them out...

I could not have been happier these were two of the most pleasant hardworking men I have hired, have even recommended them already to neighbors. They came in covered their shoes dropped clothes under every job they did and worked very quickly and in exactly the amount of time they said they would.
