They did a superb job. They were very conscientious. They communicated well, they were conscientious, and they knew what they were doing. I was very pleased with their services.

I felt the price was high for the work performed. They acknowledged their high prices and did not charge me for the second visit.

 + -1 moreWe discovered that the old disposer was not installed correctly which caused it to leak and for all of the drainage pipes to corrode. I called on a Saturday and was given an appointment for Tuesday (other companies gave me a two week wait for an appointment). As well, he talked through the price and made sure that it was ok before he even began the work, and there were no surprises at the end of the installation. Even though it was a bit more than I would like to have spent, I can't say how great the quality of work and professionalism. Not only did he make sure that everything fit properly, he also reconfigured the plumbing under my sink to make the disposer fit more soundly as well as to ensure that we would not run into the same problem in the future, free of charge! I would absolutely use this company for any other plumbing needs in the future.
Description of Work: Needed to have a new garbage disposer replaced.

Description of Work: Hand in hand, fist over fist, probably the best service company ever in the whole united states! They did a boiler inspectation for our building two years ago. It turned out that the DOB is missing a certain information. As I contacted Jeanne, the service manager on the phone who always have the nicest greeting in the whole world... (I am not going to tell you here, you will have to call and find out yourself..) .. she sent us the information right away, although the service was done two years ago... But that was just the begining, months later, after getting a response from the DOB, I contacted Jeanne again via email and tried to get another piece of record from them. Keep in mind that the original service was done two years ago and my request involved getting info from a third party. Knowing it has been a long streching of time, I offered to pay for expense and search efforts it might cost. Unbelievable but true, on the same night, I receive the info I request, and Jeanne asked me to pay absolutely "zero" cents for all these great services she provided! you can not image how happy I am, not because of the free service, but because I know Petri is the company you can count on even 2 whole years after a service is done, you are still their priority customer!!!! They will work to resolve your problem, no matter what!!! . If that does not put a smile on your face, I don't know what is!! So call them up, get the work done, relax knowing you are in hands!!! While you are there, say "hi" to Jeanne and Mike, they are the best in the servie, don't miss out!

 + 0 moreThough this is my first report on Petri in Angie's List, I have used them a number of times, and they are excellent people. They are easy to reach (when you call them, you talk to a real human being, not an answering machine) and the person is responsive. They show up at the time scheduled. The proprietor and his staff of plumbers all know their trade well, and the work is always top-notch. There were no surpises on price. It cost what they quoted to me. Petri's pricing is competitive, though it may not be the lowest. However, in considering the caliber of their work and professionalism, I find it to be a good value.

 + -1 moreThey were very responsive and were even willing to come on a Sunday for extra money but instead we had them come on Monday morning. They were very punctual and I was able to get to work on time, they worked so fast. They guy explained everything he was doing and was very nice and listened to all my questions and even explained how they have a warranty on their work. However, they are very very expensive. All the prices come from a book they quote, so you don't feel like you're the only one being over charged, but it's still a lot. I knew they were expensive, but I just think that everyone should be aware, they really are expensive.
Description of Work: Toilet tank was leaking and had to be rebolted to the bowl.

 + -1 moreThe price was a lot and I had to put on two credit cards. Then I have the contractor in my building look at the toilet and he said the things that I needed that I didn't really need. I liked that when he came when he said he would come; but I felt I was overcharged because all they did was used to snake. Then he said I needed all these things that would have been like several hundred more that on contract that as simple as an adjustment that's all I needed. Eventually it's the toilet; but spending another $800 was something I would give for the new toilet. I kind of felt not pleased. They fixed the issue temporarily. It was lot of money to spend for the short time. They are very expensive.

I have called them several times for emergencies - either late in the evening or on the weekends - and they always pickup the phone immediately and have someone available to come over. I almost always deal with the same people, so there is a really nice level of familiarity and trust. I highly recommend Petri Plumbing!

 + -1 moreThe BEST thing about Petri is that I always talk to a real person when I call. Petri's office support is GREAT. Then, a plumber will get back to you. Then, if you arrange to work with them, they arrive on time and do a GREAT job. Proficient, informative, respectful, professional. I think that there might be someone out there with a lower price, but I'd rather pay, and know that I am getting great service.
Description of Work: We started using Petri in our house because the plumber that we used to use didn't get back to us in a timely fashion. I called Petri to clear my the waste pipes in my sister's house in East New York. Even though the neighborhood was new to him, the plumber showed up on time. It was a nasty job, but the fellow handled it well. He even made suggestions on how the system could be updated.

 + -1 morei was pricing out three plumbers for a fairly simple job. the plumber i spoke to at Petri to set up the appointlent sounded professional and flexible. on the day of the estimate the dispatcher made me aware of the service fee just to come by for the estimate. sure it was refundable (if i picked them), but it is poor practice to change the plan on the day of the service call. i cancelled on the spot.
Description of Work: scheduled estimate for routing gas line up to my roof deck.

 + -1 moreI called several companies & Perti was the first plumber to return my phone call. The girl who answered the phone was pleasant & able to give me an appointment the following day. The tech that arrived was quite young which made me a bit nervous be he handled himself professionally & found the source of the problem pretty quickly. I thought the price quote was a bit much, but I & my wife both work & don't have time to shop for these type of services.
Description of Work: I called because I had a leak on my steam heating boiler. I made an appointment for service & was given an appointment the following day. The tech who arrived seemed very knowledgeable, & after diagnosing the problem recommended a long overdue clean & check service of my 20 year old plus steam boiler. The job took approximately 75 minutes & everything has been working fine since.
