Our newly purchased 1903 Victorian has hot water heat but only one thermostat on the first floor. The seller had stated when asked that the third floor was often too warm. I contacted several plumbers to investigate the feasibility of zoning the heat for efficiency. Mike of Petri Plumbing immediately ruled out zoning as an expensive and invasive overhaul. He suggested installing thermostatic valves on each of the four radiators on the third floor. Each radiator could then be set to shut off when that room reached a comfortable temperature. Two plumbers worked most of the day on the job. In the process of the most complicated install they either discovered a damaged joint or damaged a joint in the wall. They immediately notified me of the problem and spent the rest of the work day tracking down the exact location of the problem. One plumber returned the next day and worked all day fixing the joint at a discounted rate, since it wasn't clear how the joint was damaged. After all work was completed we discovered a small leak and called the office. Petri's plumber turned around, came back and fixed the leak. We will definitely use them again!

I was interested in getting a quote on replacing my toilets in two bathrooms. Michael Petri arrived on time, was very professional, and took the time to explain the process to me. Ultimately his opinions helped me to make a decision as to whether or not to move forward with the project.

They did a great job. They were very professional. We have not gone back to them due to their pricing.

They were courteous and polite on the phone while explaining that there would be an $89 service charge for the estimate and if I used their service that it would be added to the bill. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but most companies that I deal with will give a free estimate. I decided not to use this company because of the charge for the estimate. I was glad that they told me in advance, though.

Their service may be great - I don't know - , but they provided me with a quote of $1,375 plus taxes - that couldn't be detailed - to fix a kitchen's faucet with a leakage. I decided to call the supper of the building instead, who bought a replacement part and fixed the leakage in less than 1hr for a total of $60 (sixty dollars). More that the amount paid to Petri to get the quote.

They arrived on time and the materials were delivered on time. They greeted me warmly and began the job immediately upon arrival. While waiting for the delivery of materials, they prepared the area...draining the heating system and cutting the pipe to be replaced. I was elated that they were able to complete the job without removing any of the panelling. They cleaned up as best they could and apologized for not being able to the remove the rust stain left by the leaking pipe. I told them they could not be held responsible for stain removal as that is not a plumbing problem!! LOL! They worked steadily and efficiently and completed the job in a timely manner.

These guys were fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and no b********. They quickly identified the issue and helped resolve the problem. Just two weeks before, I had a different plumber look at the same issue and advised me that I was going to need to tear an entire wall apart. Thank god Joe from Petri came out to check out the issue for me. A little on the pricey side, but I'd much rather receive reliable service and pay a touch more for it.

I called in the late afternoon (after 5pm) They were the only plumber that had a live helpful person on the other end of the phone that helped me. I called several other companies and only got answering services. I didn't need emergency service so I asked that they come over bright and early the next morning. I got a call about 7:40am and Victor got here at 8am. He was very professional and went right to work, was neat and cleaned up afterwards! I needed a part that wasn't in the truck but was delivered early by the owner! The job took about 3 hours to complete. They had to replace about 12 inches of pipe including the hub. I was very happy with services performed and the response time, I wasn't so crazy about the price. I did receive 10% off from an Angie's list coupon! Would I use Petri Plumbing & heating again? YES! Thank you guys!

Joe fought through terrible traffic to get to us, sized up the problem, explained what he would do, showed me the cost break down, and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I would definitely hire Petri Plumbing again.

Our basement bathroom was totally out of commission. You couldn't use the toilet, the sink backed up when we were washing our hands and during and after we did laundry the water came out of the toilet and the shower stall.When Joe the Plumer that represented Petri Pluming came to the house he was very professional and clean. He covered his shoes so he wouldn't dirty my wood floors and worked very efficient and accurate. He informed us thru out the process and mad sure that he would keep the cost down. He was very knowledgeable and gave us the best information needed to get the job done. In the past no one was able to clear the pipe completely and the problem would return in a few month. He also labeled all our water and gas pipe valves so we would know what each valve was. What was impressive was that Joe took the time to call us a couple of days later to check if everything was ok. I call that costumer service.

Over all the experience was good. I would use angie's List again to get a contractor. The work was done well, quickly and with integrity. `

Plumber arrived at stated time for estimate and for actual work 2 days later, Bathroom items were returned and area cleaned up after work completed. Price did not included repair of ceiling. Not sure of going note for type of work done, 5 hours of work total.

Angie sent me the names and addresses of 3 plumbers, but no telephone number...I found that odd and a minor nusiance. When I first called and spoke with Mr. Michael Petri, he was polite and funny...he told me his wife would call back in 15 minutes to set up appointment. She did and made arrangements for Joe to come and give me an estimate/evaluation.All of them were delightful and eficient.

When I spoke with him on the phone he seemed very knowledgable on the phone and I feel confident that he will be abe to finish the project successfully.

The toilet was running and constantly refilling, and the chain would frequently get stuck under the flapper, so I called Petri Heating & Plumbing to set up an appointment for an estimate. The person who answered the phone in the office was courteous and professional and we set up a two hour window (bet. 3 and 5) which worked best with my schedule. The technician, Joe, called at the beginning of the time frame to confirm and to get more details about the problem. He arrived within 1/2 hour and assessed the problem and quoted me the price to replace the fill valve and flapper, he also replaced the tank handle (which was plastic) with a more durable and better-looking chrome finish tank handle (this was entirely optional - he didn't pressure me to add this - I requested it). The price seemed reasonable and it took him 20 - 30 minutes to make the repairs. He reminded me of a 10% Angie's List discount for the work and added this in to the final cost. He asked if I had any other questions and I asked him if he knew where to get replacement "hot" and "cold" plastic discs that go on the faucet fixtures in my bathroom and he said he had some in his truck and gave them to me. This was not related to the work he had done at all but speaks to the way he went above and beyond. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and his professionalism and would highly recommend them.

From the moment I first called Petri the experience was positive. They were unfailingly helpful, polite and professional. This was our first experience in calling and working with a plumber and it was terrific. Their workmanship seems to be first rate and their people skills are first rate. They subtracted the cost of their initial visit from the cost of the installation. Buying the faucet online at their suggestion save several hundred dollars. Noticed on 5/14/12 that the toilet located in the basement was overflowing while the main shower upstairs was being used. Found Petri Plumbing using Angie's list and called to see if I could get an appointment for the same day after 6:00 pm. Joe called to let me know he was able to come over earlier than 6:00 pm and was very prompt getting to my house. Joe checked out the situation and knew there was a main sewer back up and would have to snake out the pipes. He quoted a price to me and on my approval did what he needed to do. As a complimentary service, Joe labeled the valves of water heater, boiler etc. He was also very informative about other issues that may need to be taken care of in the future. I did not feel he was pushing me to make any decisions right there on the spot. He made sure to clean up after the job was complete. He wrote down prices of future work that will eventually have to be taken care off. The next day Joe called to make sure everything was operating correctly and told me he was available for any questions I may have. Petri Plumbing was very reliable, prompt and professional and I will certainly use them again.
