Joe the Plumber

it was above average. i called them 3:45 pm and they were here 4:45. Took them 15 minutes and I had a working toilet. The price they quoted was fair. I intend to call them again - as opposed to the other plumber i had where they put me on hold for 15 mins just to talk to them!

Great. Three guys (including Joe) showed up. Snaked out the sink. Had the part for the toilet in the truck. Cleaned up. Very professional, courteous..

I called the night before and Joe and his colleague came by next day. Joe looked at the boiler, turned a switch - and our hot water issue was solved. He explained how the system worked and answered all my questions in detail, so that I could understand it. They stayed around to make sure everything was working fine. He did not charge a dime! He is a real pro and beyond fair. I will definitely call him for all our plumbing needs! Highly recommend him.

Went very well. Joe and his crew made it look simple. All that I can say is that I was extremely happy that it woked and we didn't have to break up the tile in my bathroom. Joe is a terrific guy and he and his helper are very knowledgeable. Job well done!!!!!

Joe was fantastic. He listened to the full issue, made an appointment to come the next day, texted and called me to let me know when he was en route and was super professional. He and his associate were in and out in about minutes- he also gave me a bonus lesson on taking care of my boiler when he noted that the water in the tube was extremely dirty. Joe is courteous, punctual and fixed the problem immediately- will definitely be my go-to guy in the future!

He called to let me know how long he would be and was the most honest plumber i have met.

Joe did a great job. There was a radiator that was not generating enough heat and also an odd noise coming from the system. He quickly diagnosed the problems and fully explained all solutions.

My toilet bowl was broken, I thought I needed a new one. Joe came on time and told me my toilet bowl was good and fixed the insides of it with new pieces and I was good to go. He also checked out my kitchen appliances to make sure they were working well for free. He was very honest and I will call him again. He is now my local plumber. Thank you Joe.

Toilet still moaned with new ballcock so he lowered water level in bowl so there is no moan. He worked cleanly and quickly. Gave me a senior citizen discount when I asked for one as per a previous review.

Joe was terrific! He was on time and very professional. We had an issue with a sink which was backed up from a "clog" that went down the length of the building. Joe identified the issue and corrected the issue. He then installed a new faucet as we requested. Feel confident that I now have a plumber I can call and depend upon when needed! Thanks again Joe!

I had been working with another neighborhood plumber for several years and their work was quite good and I liked them very much....however, their pricing over the last few years had simply become insanely high and unjustifiable. So it was time to look for a new plumber. After researching on Angie's List I found Joe the Plumber and called him on July 16th. Joe called me back that same day, listened to what I needed done and made an appointment to come by the following day. Joe and his assistant showed up on time and were warm and professional. They looked at the issues and made the following assessments: 1. Kitchen sink leak was caused by a faulty kitchen hose....Joe changed the hose with a new one he had on his truck and did NOT charge me for it. 2. Leak under kitchen radiator was due to a small crack in the radiator....Joe measured the radiator, called around to his many neighborhood suppliers, went and got the new radiator and installed it that very day. 3. Snaked out the drain leading from my basement to the street. 4. Cleaned the boiler, cleaned the glass tube and checked all controls. He also explained to me that this boiler needed to have water emptied once a week during heating season....something my previous plumber had specifically instructed me not to do. I have to admit, I was sorry that I had to change plumbers. I liked my old plumber very much but when your prices quadruple and you refuse to negotiate them or supply an itemized breakout of costs, you are going to lose clients. I am THRILLED to have found Joe the Plumber. He is a total professional, respectful of my time and home, great pricing and fantastic work. I'm sold!!

more I had a leak in my bathroom and called people off Angie's List until I reached Joe. Another company could not come until the next week, and had a service charge which was not applicable to any work done. Joe came the same day, fixed the leak which was from the toilet, adjusted a valve to make the toilet fill properly, did something to another toilet to make it flush with one touch rather than holding it down (which a previous plumber couldn't seem to be able to fix), and unclogged my shower drain. I have not had plumbing done in a while, but the price seemed quite reasonable. He was friendly and neat. What more does one need?

Aside from the fact that the toilet that needed fixing was on the fourth floor walk-up of my home on one of the hottest days this summer (we have no air conditioning there), Joe and his assistant took the time to explain to me what was wrong and how they were going to fix the problem. I also pointed out that the water came out slowly from the bathroom sink faucet. The took care of that with no charge. I have never written a review for Angies List but was happy to do this for Joe. He was curteous and patient with this female senior citizen. (smile)

Joe was amazing! Although he is a young guy, he reminds me of the old fashioned plumber that knows your family and whom you just trust. He was prompt and professional. He knows his business and he doesn't try to take advantage of the customer. He cheerfully gave me advice on several issues around my mother's house and never charged me a penny. I highly recommend him and would use him again!

Joe was extremely professional. When he replaced the shower handles initially, he told me they were generic, made to fit all. He said hopefully they will work fine. In the meantime, while he was in NYC, he went to Replacements and purchased a set of shower handles made for my shower body. Apparantly my shower body is a model that is no longer being made, hence it's a problem getting new shower handles. So, when I called him and said one the handles broke, he came the next day and replaced everything with the correct handles. They work great and no additional charges. I will certainly use his services again.!

I have to start by saying that my experience with Joe and his crew was outstanding. Joe is extremely knowledgeable in his field and takes the time to inform his customers every step of the way and to also educate them. I have to admit that I am a very demanding customer and Joe surpassed all of my expectations of what outstanding service is all about. I hired Joe given his positive reviews in Angie's list to remove an old leaking water heater in my house and install a new one and to also fix a leak under my kitchen sink. He arrived at the scheduled time with his crew. They removed the water heater and installed the new one but in the course of the work, I asked him about my chimney's condition. He indicated he would check it for me and let me know if I needed to do any repairs. One he finished, Joe told me that the chimney was in good condition - no work needed. He gave me a thorough training on how the new water heater works and its 10 year warranty. He educated me on what to do and what not to do when it comes to water heaters, boilers and chimneys. Then he went up to my kitchen to open the faucet and make sure the water is running properly. Once he did that, he realized that the water was coming out slowly and not much pressure - however, this had been the normal to us for a long time. Joe fixed the faucet for us right in front of me - at no extra cost! But that's not all, he asked one of his guys to check the leak under my sink. I was expecting to pay for new pipes etc, however, he fixed the one I had there - also at no extra cost. At the end of the visit, Joe removed the old water heater, installed a new one, fixed my kitchen faucet as well as the leak I had under the kitchen sink, educated me on a lot of stuff including tips on saving money all for the price of installing the water heater! All was done with such kindness and a huge smile. After the work he did in my house, I would never hire anyone else but Joe! He is simply top-notch!

He charged $125, the labor was $75, the parts $50, and with the 10% off because of Angie's List, the price was fair. He wrote on the receipt he didn't charge for labor. I was satisfied with the service, they left everything clean, and I think the job was very well done.

Joe is very courteous, professional, and responsive. He answered my call right away and was excellent at communicating the eventual time of the service call. He was fast, knowledgeable, and super clean. grade is A+
