Great experience with this firm. Our refrigerator had been leaking for weeks and we didn't want to fix it because we feared the super-high cost. But Eddie's came over, checked it out, offered to fix it at a very reasonable price -- and even suggested a DIY solution for half the cost. Not wanting to ruin our fridge, we had them fix it. Not a single drip in the past week...and they even called today to check and make sure everything is going smoothly. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Eddie was great. He came 2 days after I called, in the morning so I didn't have to take time from work. He was on time, professional, friendly and most importantly he knew what he was doing and fixed it immediately. He will be my go to guy for any other appliance problems I may have.

I called Eddie to repair my washing machine which was no longer spinning. He said he could repair it but he made me aware of another noise and said for this reason it wasn't worth repairing. He offered to get me a new machine of my choice which I took him up on. He offered to have the machine delivered the following day but I was unable to stay home from work so I asked for a Saturday delivery. During the week, he kept in contact with me and at one point I asked if he could get me a dishwasher as well. He delivered and installed the dishwasher himself on Friday and the washing machine was due to be delivered on Saturday. He advised me that he only works until 1pm on Saturday. When the washer was delivered at 2:30 on Saturday, I called the office and the receptionist said she would let him know. He came at 5:30pm saturday and hooked up the washer even though he said he stopped working at 1pm on Saturday.

The refrigeraor was leaking water from under the vegetable bin and the frig light only worked intermittently. I checked online and thought I knew what was causing the leak, but I had no idea why the light didn't work consistently. Called Eddie and he said I was probably right about the leak. He came the same day and fixed both problems in about a half hour. He cleaned the drain of the clog that was causing the leak. The problem with the frig light was due to the switch not working properly. Eddie said that replacing the switch would be expensive and in order to save money I could tap the current switch to make the light go on. I decided to spend the money and replace the switch. Broken things bother me. It's been couple of weeks and no more leaks and the frig light goes on every time the door is opened. Regarding the cost, I don't know if I could have gotten a cheaper price, but I was satisfied that the problems were fixed promptly and effectively.

Eddie is a consumate professional. He clearly knows what he's doing, and he will never make you a promise he doesn't keep. His top priority is getting the job done right for you. I should say up top that i had to have him come back about two weeks after he was here because he problem returned, but he came back, as he promised he would if anything went wrong, and fixed it for good the next day free of charge. He explains as much or as little as you want to hear, and is in and out as quickly as possible. How did he go out of his way for me? The first time around, he had to order a part from his distributor. I have two young children, so being without a refrigerator is very difficult, and I asked him to overnight it and he did. As the day went on and he still didn't have the part in hand, he called the next customer on his route to see if it would be any issue delaying that visit. Fortunately, that customer didn't mind, and Eddie was at my door within an hour. About 30 minutes after that, the fridge was working again. As I mentioned, unfortunately, that's not the end of the story. Last night (Friday) we noticed that the temperature in the freezer was rising again. I immediately called Eddie. He was already booked solid on Saturday, and our first phone call ended with apologizes from him. To be honest, I wasn't too happy with that. But about 3 minutes later, Eddie called back and said he'd see what he could do. About 3 minutes after that, he called back and told me he'd be there for sure before noon. At around 10 AM Saturday, he was here, and by 10:30 all was well. In my opinion, Eddie is the most trustworthy, easy to deal with repairman I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I would recommend him to anyone who asked, and even those who didn't.

He is always good. He did not charge me because we need a new one. We are always satisfied.

he didn't forfill the side that he was going to do. he said that he would come by on Monday 2/4/13 and he never showed up or even called. I paid him $40 for when he came by the first time.

Eddie's Modern Appliance Service was listed as an official Kitchen Aid repair service. I called yesterday and he came this morning to repair the handle on our dishwasher. It had been broken and so the dishwasher wouldn't start without it connecting correctly. Eddie came and knew immediately what the problem was. He returned within 2 hours with the part, installed it and we're now good to go. We found him to be courteous, professional and prompt. We would highly recommend his service.

We needed a Maytag/Whirlpool washer and dryer to be installed. It's a gas dryer, so we wanted to be sure it was done properly. I called Eddie in the afternoon, and he came over the next morning to do the installation. He was prompt, courteous, and very friendly. Very reasonably priced. He recommended that we replace the rubber connector hoses with metal ones, which he was able to do immediately. He even helped to move the machine back into a very tight space. I would highly recommend him, and would definitely use him again if we needed a repair.

This was my first time with Eddie and I would be glad to use him again to take care of our other appliances.

The first problem came on the day he was supposed to be there and I called to get an approximate time of his intended arrival - he told me he couldn't make it that day and that he had called me and left voicemail. I never received a voicemail nor did my phone show that a call had been received, so I found that strange, but I figured that mistakes can happen. After a week, I set up a new appointment time to have the dishwasher checked out. On the day of the appointment he called me this time to confirm the time. I told him would it be okay to move the original time a bit later as I was running a bit late on errands. He said that was fine and to call him when I was ready. Once I arrived at the house about an hour later, I called him to let him know. He didn't pick up, so I left a message. After another hour had passed with no response. I called again, but still got his voicemail. After yet another hour went buy, I called and left another voicemail inquiring of his status and requesting a callback to let me know what his plans were. Eddie never returned the calls, nor did he show up. As a professional, it is inconceivable that someone in business would be so rude and inconsiderate as to not return a call in a timely manner out of courtesy. You would also expect the customer to be updated to any change of plans, such as not being able to make the appointment so the customer wouldn't waste time waiting. The fact that he decided to not return the calls at all shows his lack of professionalism. I saw prior bad reviews of him failing to show up and return call, but he still had a high rating, so I thought I'd give his business a try. Unfortunately, the bad reviews have proven to be true as he continues to not honor his service commitments, which turns out to be a big waste of customers time.

He gave me a window of time from 1-4pm to have him show up. I left work to come home and wait for him, it’s almost 5pm and I haven’t heard a word from him all. I’ve made several attempts to contact him and have still not heard anything and he is still not here.

This experience was okay, but the reason I chose NOT to use or recommend him is based on the next two scheduled visits (to be reported next). To be fair- this 1st visit was okay.

Eddie was beyond awesome in his service! He had previously replaced the broken ignitor in my oven about 5 months ago, and I called him because it broke again. He scheduled an appointment promptly after I called him and was punctual and quick in his response. He asked if I had the receipt from the past job that he did as the part should still be under warranty. I didn't keep the response though, so thought I would have to pay again for everything. When Eddie arrived he was super fast and professional. Although he didn't need to, he honored the 1 year guarantee even though I didn't have the receipt! He expressed annoyance that the part had broken, when it shouldn't have. He was super fast and super friendly! I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anybody.

Extremely disappointing - I do not recommend him.

I called Eddie to repair my refrigerator/freezer which lost its cooling ability in the refrigerator section. Although I was located beyond his service area, he was willing to come the next day to give an estimate. Wile on the phone, Eddie came up with an idea of what he thought the problem was. He said that the refrigerator gets cooled by cold air from the freezer. The tube that delivers cold air can "ice over" and get clogged. He suggested that I defrost the refrigerator and that might solve the problem. I followed his directions and the problem was solved. No service call was necessary. Obviously I was very pleased and impressed by Eddie's willingness to help even though he might not get a repair job out of it. If I needed a repair in the future that necessitated a visit, he'd be the first person I'd call.

Eddie was punctual and courteous. He called when he was on his way and was at my door right when he said he would be. When I initially spoke to him on the phone he said it sounded like the igniter was broken; after being able to take off the oven door faster than I've ever seen anyone do it before, he said it definitely a broken igniter. It actually took him less time to fix and replace the broken part than to reassemble the oven. He tested the oven, and made sure to clean up any broken glass from the original igniter before leaving. The total price was less than he originally quoted, so I will definitely use him again.

Eddie was fabulous! He arrived exactly when he said he would (he even called ahead to say he'd be arriving in 10 minutes), and identified the problem with our ice maker immediately. He actually had the replacement part in his van, took out the old ice maker, installed the new one, melted the bucket of ice, and was ready to go in under 20 minutes. We will absolutely call him with any future repair issues.

He politely told me that he couldn't help me because I told him the model number of the range and he said that it doesn't exist any more. He proceeded to give me a master's degree in oven repair. The guy is wonderful. I told him that I sort of hope something else would break so I could hire him. That is how good the guy was. The part doesn't exist and he basically talked himself out of a $200 service call. He was fabulous and he is at the top of my list if I ever need an appliance repair guy. He told me about some people that actually do repair these clocks. They take them and rebuild them but he said by the time I was done it would cost me half of what it would cost to get a new stove. He was great. He will be the first guy I will call even if my electric toothbrush breaks. He called me back in minutes.

I thought he did a great job. He's very personable and attentive, I would highly recommend him.

My Kitchenaid dishwasher lost power, and I called Eddie's Modern Appliance Service because they are authorized Kitchenaid servicers. Eddie had an appointment for me the next day, and came within his allotted 4-hour window. He diagnosed the problem quickly, had the replacement part in his van, and the dishwasher was working again within 15 minutes of his arrival. I price seemed fair, and included labor and the replacement part.
