Eddie's Modern Appliance Service

Eddie was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did he correctly identify the problem and make the appropriate referral but also he checked several other appliances for which parts or replacement were needed, recommended particular brands of appliances to meet my needs, gave me the name and phone number for his parts supplier (including the extension for the most helpful person) and told me how I might locate some parts fro my Crown stove which I had previously been unable to find. Throughout, he was pleasant and eager to be of help even though ultimately I was not actually using his services. In the end, he also decided not to charge for the visit which was most generous because getting here and parking in my neighborhood are very difficult. I cannot recommend Eddie's highly enough!

Eddie was very prompt, very friendly and very knowledgeable. He showed me the functional parts of my fridge and explained what he was looking for. Turns out the heat exchanger was frosted over. The solution; defrost the fridge. And to prevent this happening again, install a new defrost regulator. Only negative comment: after Eddie left, I found the part he installed for $80 on the internet. Eddie's charge was $180. Obviously I'm happy to pay something for labor, but the markup seemed a little steep.

He was prompt, courteous, friendly, and very helpful and solving the oven problem. He even helped diagnose a dishwasher issue and let me know that the concern I had was normal... He could have told me that there was something wrong, but he was honest and did not charge anything for that.

He seemed very knowledgable and extremely nice, and was on time. I wasn't sure whether to repair or replace the dishwasher and ultimately decided to replace since it was 11 yrs old. Eddie followed up with a phone call, answered all my questions and was patient with my indecision. It was $40 for the visit which would have gone to the total cost had I gone with the repair.

I received good service from this company. The cost was affordable, he responded to my calls promptly and he came when he said he would. His diagnosis of the problem was quick, he explained my options clearly and gave me a one year guarantee on the part of the unit he had to replace. Everything went smoothly and I was pleased.

Called eddie at about 10.00am. He answered the call himself and briefly thinking about he had going that day said how adout in the afternoon that day. I said that was great and waited for him to come. He called half hour before he was coming and when he arrived outside the house. Cant ask for more than that. Eddie checked out the problem told me he had the part on the truck and discussed the price before proceeding. It took him maybe 25 minutes to complete the job. Eddie was very knowleable ,courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to use him again and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

This time it was our new stove and it was the "mother board" that needed replacing. It had been installed appx 14 months ago so now it is past the warranty. Ed came and he could have ordered it and charged us big bucks but instead he instructed us to call the manufacturer because he felt that they would help us and they did. It is so difficult to find honesty in business these days but he has my trust, my business and I recommend him highly to all.

Eddie first tried to fix the current pump. When it was apparent that it needed to be replaced he ordered the new part and came out again to install the pump. We were very pleased with his work and repairs.

We made an appointment, he came on time, and he appeared to have fixed the washing machine very simply. It seemed like a simple fix. It worked for about 3 washings over the next 3 days after he thought he fixed it but then it stopped working. After it stopped, I called him and he made another appointment. He said he would come between certain hours. He called the day of the appointment and said he was on his way, but he would be late due to the weather. I waited, but after 3 and a half hours, I called him and he said he said he was still on the road. I told him since it was so late, we should just make another appointment. He said he would call in the evening. He never called. I ended up calling another company to come out to fix the problem. Eddie’s was very unprofessional and I think that for some reason, he didn’t want to come back. I felt that he didn’t handle the problem very well and I was unsatisfied with his service.

We wanted to clean 10 years of accumulated gunk out of our oven door. Eddie showed up on time, was professional, fast, and nice. He's clearly taken apart a million oven doors, and handled ours just fine.

Our Kitchen Aid refrigerator was leaking onto the floor from our bottom freezer. Eddie showed up on time, and knew right away what the problem was. He took apart the freezer, unclogged the drain, and put it all back together in about an hour. He was very personable and professional throughout. There have been no problems with our refrigerator since...

Eddie, was responsive and professional. I had a brief window of a few hours before i left for vacation, and he managed to make it work out for me. i will definitely use his company again.

Our BOSCH dryer stopped working ... and Eddie was one of the few local providers who could actually service BOSCH appliances. He was quick to answer the call, make an appointment, discover the problem and was in and out of our apartment in no time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I called Eddie because my fridge door was giving me problems. After waiting for him in the initial time period he failed to appear and we had to reschedule. He finally came the next day and told us that the door wouldn't close because it was rubbing on the wall. Really the door wouldn't close because the hinge was broken...which is what the next person who came told us. He charged us $40.00 to do nothing for us and left. I wouldn't recommend him at all.

I am a landlord he fixed the refrigerator ordered parts came back as soon as the part was in and then noticed he would not need to use something which then reduced the price by $100. i am not there i would never had known he is reliable, good and honest

Eddie was great. Even my kids loved him. He was professional, knowledgeable, and trust worthy. I am very happy to know that I now have someone to call if any of our other appliances give us trouble. Even his wife, Iris, who does the booking, gave me great advice.

I made an appointment and stayed home all day. He was supposed to show up between 8am and 1pm, but never showed up. I called back several times and left messages, he never called back.

The service was very good. Very nice man and no nonsense. He was very prepared for the job. Had the job completed in a very short time. He was very professional. He also stated to me if anything happens in the next week he would come back and check it for free.

We made an appointment with Eddie to come to fix the stove and refrigerator. He never showed after we waited for hours past the appointment time. When my wife called to find out what happened she was told in a rude way that someone way and he hung up. No one showed or called. After we called a second time and left a message no one called backed. Very unprofessional. We choice the provider based on Angie's list reviews.

We live in a small coop with 2 coin operated washing machines. You can imagine they get a lot of wear and tear. So when one of the machines stopped spinning properly, I searched out a repairman. Eddie came up high in the marks and I called - spoke to a very professional and pleasant woman who then contacted Eddie out in the field. He came within 2 hours on a Saturday - exactly when promised and finished in 20 minutes. Fabulous. Now we have a trusted appliance repairman. He also gave me some great tips on my dishwasher.

Eddie is a super nice guy, and what we really liked, he explained what he was doing while he was doing it, and demonstrated what was broken in the part that needed replacement. We will definitely call him again when we need an appliance fixed.

I called and left a message on the answering machine and received a call back within 30-45 mins. After I explained that my dryer wasn't working and what caused it to stop working Eddie gave me a fix over the phone. It was quick and easy and didn't cost me a thing. He could have come to my house and charged me just for coming but instead he told me exactly what I needed to do and also told me that I will continue to have issues but the cost of fixing may not be worth it. I can continue to use my dryer for the time being. If anything else in my house breaks be sure I will call Eddie first. Not because I want something for free but because a) he obviously has a lot of experience and knows his stuff but also because integrity is priceless and garners both trust and respect.
