He promised he could be here within three days and then called to confirm that he could move the date. Expectation management: A+. Always polite and clear on the phone. Arrived and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Honestly can’t imagine a better experience. Thank you, Eddie!

Description of Work: I hired Mr. roth on 8/01/14 to replace a starter switch and knob on a stove. I was informed parts needed to be ordered, which I understood. between the first and the nineteenth of august I called Mr. Roth on two occasions to find out the status of my work order. On the first communication I was told parts had not arrived yet and that I would receive a call when they did. On the second communication I was informed parts were in and that two attempts were made to reach me, of which I have no proof/maybe there were two attempt made. Anyway when I finally did make an appointment it was set for the nineteenth of august between the hours of 8am and 1pm. @ exactly 1pm I called to find out why no one showed up yet. I introduced myself only to be asked by Mr. roth to refresh his memory as to who I was. Now I'm feeling, this is a bad situation that only going to get worse . As I proceeded to tell/remind him who I was, that I had just spoken to him yesterday and that it shouldn't be my burden to remind him of his appointment with me or who I am. He became agitated, argumentative and proceeded to tell me how many customers he has and that he cant remember everyone. That he does not see the problem with asking. I'm certain if half his day were wasted he would have a revelation. I could go on and on. this is just the essence of it. Word of advice, Humility goes a long way Mr.roth. I was not rude, I was not yelling, I was not screaming, I was not argumentative. I could have been all of those things. Made a decision not to be. The bottom line, Mr. roth offered to mail me a check to return my deposit. I refused to receive a check. Out of consideration and respect I gave a cash deposit and expected cash returned. So here's my story, what should have been a simple job was made complicated and it will take three times longer to get this work done. The good thing is I know I'll find someone else to do it. It's great to have options.

Description of Work: I was given a few names for my oven that needed to be repaired. I called Eddie Friday, he came Saturday. He is very knowledgable. He also helped me to clean in between the glass on my oven as well.

Description of Work: Look at my washing machine, it turned out it was a twisted hose.

Description of Work: Checked the noise in my frig to see what was causing it. After check the entire frig he discovered ice build up around the fan in back of the freezer. After applying a small amount of heat the ice melted to a point where the noised stopped where the frig was restarted. He suggested after the holiday, I should take everything out of freezer and turn it off for 24 hours to allow the ice to melt. I followed his instruction and as of today I have not had any more problems. | |I've use Eddie twice and have been please both times. Description of Work: I had used Eddie in the past so I know he is competent. He was scheduled to come fix my dishwasher and ice maker in the refrigerator. He did not show up. He did not call. When I called a rude person said he would get back to me which he did not do. After I finally reached him and rescheduled, I waited all day and again he did not show up. this happened three more times before I gave up on him. I do not know what the problem was. I pay at the time of service, in cash. Although he is good at what he does, Eddie is unreliable and I would not take a chance on him again.

Description of Work: Excellent Service!! Eddie called ahead and arrived on time. He thoroughly examined my damaged stove and spent a few minutes taking me through the pros and cons of repairing the stove versus buying a new one. His prices are straightforward and very reasonable.

Description of Work: Eddie fixed my washing machine and gave me some tips on how to extend its life which was great! He also came back at no charge when I told him it seemed to be making another noise a week later. Nice guy...honored his coupon....I would definitely use him again.

Description of Work: Called 7/13/11 and left message. He returned call at 7:45 the next morning, leaving a message. Called him again around 10 AM in 7/14/11, Eddie said he could not come to repair my dishwasher that day, but he would definitely be there the next day 7/16/11 before 1 PM. Never called, never showed, and I haven't heard from him since. Apparently, this has become standard operating for this person. It's very disappointing. Wouldn't it just have been better for both parties if he said he wouldn't be able to come until a future date. Why would you leave a potential good customer hanging. Obviously, being a homeowner I have other appliances that break down and would need repairs, and I do have neighbors and family. I don't live in a dangerous neighborhood, and hauling things up and down staircases or using elevators would not be involved. Oh well!
