+ -1 moreThank goodness for Mike Jonas! His computer know-how and professionalism are absolutely top flight. He arrived on time, got right to work, and quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem. While repairing the problem, Mr. Jonas also patiently answered a few computer questions unrelated to the problem at hand. Moreover, he provided sage advice on computer protection and security. I was delighted that the problem was resolved in just about an hour, but it was clear that while Mr. Jonas is fast, that is because he is smart, not because he was rushing to get done and get going, as service techs in many industries often are. Hire Mike Jonas/Brooklyn PC Clinic with the utmost confidence. He's great!
Description of Work: The cursor of my laptop was jumping all over the screen, causing individual letters and groups of letters to move randomly: in front and behind other words; above and below other words; way up at the top of the screen and way down at the bottom of the screen. The problem was occurring in both Microsoft Office and on the Web. Mr. Jonas, owner of Brooklyn PC Clinic, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.

Description of Work: My home was severely damaged due to Super Storm Sandy. While the walls in my house were opened, I thought it would be a good idea to reinstall new network cables in a better location. I called Mike who assured me he would do everything possible to accommodate my request. His team went to work immediately, provided me with a reasonable estimate and an install date suited to my needs. While they were at my home they provided suggestions on how to best fulfill my request and got to work on it immediately and worked alongside my electrician to get the job done. And they didn't just "throw" cables in the wall and call it a day, no sir! They really took to time and effort to detail their work! They displayed professionalism every step of the way and I would certainly recommend Mike to others! Thanks Mike!

+ -1 moreAs a result of my experience with Bklyn. PC Clinic computer service, I am totally enjoying using my computer today in a way I could not do before. I can use the computer in any room in the apartment; I can now use iPhoto to its fullest extent; I feel comfortable in exploring new areas as I know more about the intricacies of my laptop.
Description of Work: I had requested help installing an Apple Airport Express device on my laptop, and in moving photos from email messages into the iPhoto program. Michael arrived on time, and while he was accomplishing these services, he also acted as an instructor, teaching me about more facets of the computer than I had previously known. I would highly recommend using his service.

Description of Work: I have a small business with a network and have worked with numerous tech people, most of whom are total flakes and never return my phone call or disappear. This is particularly annoying when you have business to conduct. But Mike is incredibly responsive, always calls back in an emergency, and finishes what he starts, and then calls back to make sure that things are going OK. And he's very pleasant to have around.

+ -1 morePrompt callback and handling. Hands-on work done not by the owner, Mike Jonas, but by a subcontractor, who appears competent. Only wrinkle was that new adapter (a variable-voltage adapter) initially was not fitted correctly for my laptop, which required another visit and loss of use for one more overnight. But Mike was willing to deal with this on a Saturday and also left me with some good advice on maintaining the computer"s health. And he was a little less expensive than another good computer guy in the neighborhood (Park Slope, Brooklyn) and better in communicating.
Description of Work: Replacement of adapter with a variable-voltage unit strong enough to enable charging and avoid shutdowns. Inspections of screen and cable connections.
