ACCURATE APPLIANCE REPAIR

Everything was very good. They were professional and quick. I called them the night before and they came the next day to give me an estimate. They had to order a part so it took a couple of days, but as soon as they got it they came within a couple of days and did what they had to do. I was satisfied with them. The parts were expensive, but I can't blame them for that.

I love these guys! They gave me a window of 10-1, and showed up a few minutes after 10. They solved my problem, explained what caused it. While one of the guys was working on the refrigerator, I asked Joe to advise me on my noisy washing machine. He told me exactly how he would deal with it--my model of Maytag gets like that, it's not well made, and not worth the high cost of replacing the noisy part. He also gave me advice on what type of washing machine to buy in the future, and what not to buy. He also listened to my dryer, and said it was fine. I felt so well informed and in such good hands. By 11am, they were gone and my problem was solved.

Perfectly. I have used this company several times, and they are consistently excellent. My fridge was running very hot the compressor was so hot the body of the fridge was too hot to touch in places - fancy controls told me that the freezer was up to 11 degrees and the fridge was 52 degrees. Called GE as the manual did not offer any help, and they were useless. Called Accurate, and the friendly responsive young lady who answered the phone had John, a service tech here within a few hours. John checked it out, and thought that possibly all that was needed was to remove a back panel and clean the coils. Voila - the coils were covered with matted dust. The manual does not tell you that the panel can be removed to clean the coils. John told me that he thought the fridge would cool down, although there was the possibility that due to the excessive heat over a period of time there could be some damage. He recommended that I let it run to see what happens, rather than look for / replace anything prematurely. He volunteered that if I called back for the same problem in a few days that there would be no additional service charge for the visit (they charge to come and diagnose - much less than GE by the way, and credit that towards the repair if needed). He did not charge me anything other than the service charge, although he spent some time cleaning the coils. By the way, that was this morning and my fridge is almost back to normal temps. Thank you John and everyone else at Accurate.

I called them for a service, they came the same day. The part was not a stock part so they ordered it for me. They called me two days later when the part came in. The service man arrived promptly an hour later and quickly replaced the part. I looked up the cost of the part online, and they didnt charge me anymore than i would have paid if i had ordered it from the cheapest source possible. The service fellow was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick.

Technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and the service was reasonably priced.

Arrived in the window they said they would. The problem was diagnosed. They gave the price. I said yes. They Fixed it. I paid the bill. The End.

I originally went to a low tech oven repair and got ripped off with price and service and my oven stopped working after three months. I called Accurate Repair and they were here in about an hour, and they fixed the problem.

Pilot lights went out on a tenant's oven. I made the mistake of ringing places at Noon (? - my office does not close for lunch), but Accurate Appliance Repair was the first to return my call within an hour. It was very pleasant speaking to Virginia, she is personable and familiar with the neighborhood, and was very accommodating about scheduling with the tenant directly. I received a call from the technician Joe this morning that the repair went smoothly, and all was done within the two-hour window given. It's convenient being able to pay by credit card and not just by check. I will definitely call again when I need someone to evaluate/repair another oven, or a refrigerator or dishwasher, etc. Very pleased with this first experience. They have a 5% coupon for Angie's List members.

He was punctual and friendly. Explained what he was doing while he was doing it. ACCURATE APPLIANCE REPAIR is someone that would make you comfortable. I think that's how appliance men should make you feel so they get a call back.

The technician arrived within the scheduled time window and replaced the gas coils on our dryer which had not been heating. Now the dryer works well so he resolved the problem.

Repairman showed up on time and provided estimate, in this case recommending a replacement.

It went great. He was punctual, diagnosed the problem immediately, repaired it and he was on his way. A great job!!!!

The heating element of the unit was not functioning. He checked the vents for debris and replaced the coils. Dryer works again.

Responded quickly. Didn't over-charge. Didn't over-promise.

We detected a burning smell coming from our dryer. The next morning we called Accurate, and they sent someone within a few hours. The repariman told us lint had caught fire, but otherwise the dryer was fine. They blew out the vent. We have used Accurate before and have always been satisfied with their service.

I called Accurate Appliance Repair for the 2nd time this year and was very happy with their response. The first time I had an old dishwasher that was leaking and a refrigerator not cooling. The most recent was a stovetop problem. Both times I got an appointment quickly and the company worked with my job schedule. (They actually called 15 minutes before they arrived so I could run from my nearby office to meet them.) Each time they were pleasant and helpful, and willing to explain things that would enable me to troubleshoot certain problems myself. This time I just paid the service charge. I would call them again, and have recommended the company to friends.

I did not have a good experience with Accurate. The bad experience started when I called their office. Contrary to previous reports on Angie's List, I found the receptionist who answered the phone to be somewhat rough and not that helpful. Nonetheless, she scheduled a time slot for a visit, and said that the principal would call me the next day to pinpoint the exact time. He did indeed call me the next morning, and said that he preferred that he not come. He said that the machine in question (a 9 year old stackable) had a history of problems, had been discontinued by the company, and parts were difficult to come by. Given the age of the machine,I found this statement odd, but accepted it at the time. I susbsequently called another repair company. They had no issue with the machine in question. They came to diagnose it, and said that the problem could be resolved by replacing a couple of parts, which they ordered, and were delivered the next day. If Accurate did not wish to service my call for whatever reason (it's difficult to park in my neighborhood, they are not familiar with my particular machine, etc.) I would have appreciated it if they had just said so from the beginning, and I would have respected it. I don't appreciate their wasting my time, and that of the tennant in question, on a spurious excuse.

Ignitor was replaced on a gas stove. price ok. Only thing i had a problem with is they set up appt. for 1:30 to 3:30 pm and I did explain i needed someone to be at tenants appt. so I need the time they would be at the house. He showed up at 1:00 pm instead. Glad I had another appliance for him to look at first which it didn't pay to fix. Reason is he said he can't wait till 1:30 for tenant to be at appt. and would have to come back another time. As it turned out it did work out. I did contact my tenant to come right away and he did therefore I was able to get service. He did say they were supposed to call me and let me know he was coming early and didn't. This is the only reason I give punctually a B due to coming early and I did tell them they need to give me a time slot and no call and He would of left as stated. It did work out and maybe I should of given a A all around not sure but pressure was on and should of received a call.

Our experience with Accurate Appliance Repair is excellent. Our 10 year old clothes washer broke down. I discussed the "symptoms" with the receptionist who was courteous, told me the service call fee, and scheduled an appointment at our convenience. We were called that day and told when to expect the repairman who arrived on time. He diagnosed and fixed the washer with a metal part. He was honest and neat. The fee was reasonable. The washer is back at work!

Called at 10 am and all the information taken by the woman who answered the phone. Technician was at the house by 1:30 and fixed the problem. He was very professional and did the job quickly and cleanly. Would definitely use again for any large appliance. It was a very easy transaction.

My first cal to Accurate was for an estimate on my Whirlpool Washer. He looked at the machine & said I should call Whirlpool because he believed that some major parts would still be under warranty. He said that he would have to charge me too much for that kind of repair & that I should either buy a new machine or try Whirlpool....I called the authorized Whirlpool service who told me which parts were bad & that I should order them from whirlpool....& charged me $100. When I called Whirlpool they advised me that a $600 part was not covered & that I would have to pay for it....I gave up & bought a new machine The second time I called Accurate it was for my refrigerator. He said that there was a freon blockage in the sealed system & that i should try shutting of the fridge for 1 day & maybe it would fix itself....if that didn't work he said that I should buy a new refridg. I called GER Authorized service for the refridg & they were able to diagnose & fix the refridg right on the spot....for a total of $380....mind you that this is a $2000 refrigerator. I would never call Accurate Appliance again...They are totally inaccurate & give very bad advice. It is throwing your money away to have them come to your home. Save your time & money & call the factory authorized service company for your appliance...they will set you straight on the 1st visit.

The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and very thorough when she collected my information. She was very careful to explain their policy about a charge for the service call. We arranged for service the next day. She called to let me know the technician was on his way to that I could meet him at our home. He arrived right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, got the part from his truck and completed the repair. He was courteous and easy to deal with. He was willing to explain things when I asked questions. While I did not compare prices, the price seemed fair to me. I would certainly use this service again and would recommend them to my friends.

When I contacted them they took all the information over the phone so they were prepared when they showed up to my home to complete the work. They showed up on time and were able to fix the refrigerator on the spot. I then had to call them a second time and again they took the information over the phone and had me try a few things on my own before scheduling an appointment and I was able to fix the problem on my own, so they saved me money by not having someone come out to my home to look at it. There pricing is very reasonable.

I had broken the ignition mechanism on one side of my new gas range about 7 years ago. I never bothered having it fixed because it was easier to just light the burners on that side when needed. However, now I am selling my house and the range needed to work properly, so I called Accurate, hoping it could be repaired and I could avoid buying a whole new stove. They sent Anthony out the next morning. He was prompt, professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and very nice. He diagnosed the problem quickly, retrieved the part from his truck and had my range fixed in a jiffy without making any mess at all. He even waited patiently while I cleaned and mopped behind/under the stove before he pushed it back into place! I give Accurate an A+.

I thought they were very professional. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They gave an honest opinion and estimate, which was comforting.
