Description of Work: Had to replace the lid switch on my Whirlpool washing machine. When I called, the person who fielded the call asked a series of questions that demonstrated a clear knowledge of the various things that could be causing the problem we were experiencing and essentially diagnosed the problem over the phone. We set up an appointment which was about three days later (a weekend intervened), and the repair person was right on time. The repair was made relatively quickly. The only mild criticism I have is that the repairman had difficulty removing the cover to the washing machine and started banging heavily on a retaining clip without understanding that the clip was not the problem. I intervened to advise him about some screws on the back of the control panel that I thought were the cause of the problem, which in fact they were. At first he resisted the suggestion but eventually he did remove them after further banging proved unsuccessful. Had I not intervened, I am afraid he might have done some damage because instead of stopping to try to determine what his difficulty was his solution was simply to bang harder and harder. Ultimately, after he removed the screws the cover was removed, the lid switch was replaced, the cover was reinstalled and the machine works fine. Thankfully, there was no noticeable damage. The price seemed a little high, given that the part was relatively inexpensive and the repair was made in a matter of minutes, but the overall quality of the experience made up for the cost. You get what you pay for.

Description of Work: I was satisfied with the service. When the owner learned my refrigerator wasn't working, he sent a repairman within 2 hours. The work was done quickly, and there was a follow up call that evening. I would definitely use this service again.

Description of Work: The repairman came to check out my walker, dryer and dishwasher. He, as I suspected, said that the dryer needed to be replaced, that the dishwasher was OK (and he gave me an important tip about making it more efficient), and the washer could probably be fixed. (total: 45) He replaced a part in the washer. When it still broke down, he came back, took out the part, and gave me my check for 155 back. Professional/ honest- great!

Description of Work: The ice maker in my Fridge was broken. The mechanic examined it and said he could replace one part but was doubtful that it would really work since the unit itself was 10 years old. He suggested replacing the whole thing. I agreed so he came the next day and installed a new ice maker. The $45 charge for the first visit was deducted from the final charge (in other words, I paid only for 1 visit, not 2.)

Description of Work: I called because my front loading Kenmore washer was leaking. Got an appointment quickly. The night before, I got a call that it had to be changed from the morning to afternoon, which would not work for me. I was fine with that, however, and we rescheduled for a morning the following week. That day, at 9:00, I got a call that they couldn't make it. I said this was now the second time my appointment had been canceled. He said I should call Sears because they were better for the Kenmore front loaders. If they didn't think they were right for the job, they should have said so a few weeks back, when I first called them.
