We were already packed and ready to go. Thank God I did...not because they did anything wrong but because it was the day of a MAJOR storm. I was a master packer and had all my boxes and furniture isolated in one place. These guys were amazing from the start. They packed the first one bedroom apartment in 1 hour, a second studio across the city in a 1/2 hour, and had moved me into a third apartment in another location all within the promised 5 hour time period. I was AMAZED! It was pouring rain but it did not stop these guys. With the rain they still met the time and price of the original quote. I tipped them really well; they earned it. Not only did they work in a five hour downpour, but NONE of my belongings came in the house wet! It was a miracle. I would definitely use them again.

On the first job, they were relatively punctual (only 30 minutes late). The crew was friendly and professional. The address in Pennsylvania is approximately 75 miles away so the delivery was going to take place the same day. After we downloaded the furniture, they determined a box was left at the apartment in NY. We then had to go back to NY to make sure it was still there and it was left in the basement of the apartment. They knocked $100 off the job, but I had to move the items in the box by myself over the weekend. On the second job, they showed up more than two hours late and when they did, they didn't have the proper packing materials and began to argue with us that they would properly wrap the equipment once it got to the storage warehouse. I showed them the paperwork when we placed the order specifically requesting shrinkwrap and bubble wrap to take care of the white leather couch and the leather chairs and glass tables. We then had to wait over an hour for them to deliver the shrinkwap and bubble wrap from the warehousein the Bronx. Since we were being charged by the hour, we essentially bore this extra cost. At the time of this post, we are still discussing the events with customer service. As it turned out, a different crew was supposed to do the job, but they got tied up on another job so they sent this crew to our job without the proper instructions. It's no excuse but at least explains what happened.

Great! They were extremely responsive from our first phone call all the way through the completion of the job. They were extremely helpful, professional and prompt. There was never any pressure, changing the estimate, etc. They get an A+++ from us! We're so thankful we found this company through Angie's list.

Efficient and friendly and they worked hard all day long on fixed price agreed up front. Carefully wrapped furniture. We did the packing. Nothing damaged. I've moved 4x last 10 years and these guys were great.

Shleppers sent two guys to our home to pack up our belongings. They were friendly, but not skilled at packing, which we realized when we received our belongings at our destination. Serious damage was done to several heirloom pieces - our breakfront (handcrafted by my grandfather) had several wooden pieces snapped off of it due to poor packing and wrapping, the surface of a very expensive sideboard was scratched due to poor placement of moving blankets, and one bookshef wasn't wrapped at all and was essentially ruined due to deep scratches sustained in transit. An inespensive desk was destroyed as well. We confirmed the date of receipt of our items in writing prior to initiating the move. However, every attempt was made on the part of the administrative team to change this date - first they pretended they had confirmed a different date, then they stopped returning phone calls, then they ultimately admitted that they couldn't honor our original date due to a new job that had come up since our date was confirmed. Ultimately, I was able to contact a knowledgable and reputable individual within the company who arranged for the original date to be honored. The movers who arrived at our destination were friendly and professional, and ultimately all our belongings were accounted for - unfortnuately many were seriously damaged.

It went smoothly. The team was great - professional and efficient. The team arrived the day before the move to pack our belongings. It took about 4 hours. The same team arrived the following day to load our furniture and boxes into their truck. That took just under 4 hours. The unloading of the truck on the other end took about three hours. Calix and crew were fantastic.

They were wonderful. There were many movers to choose from on Angie's List. They wrapped everything wonderfully. The price, I felt, was more than fair.

Sales manager came to the apartment to evaluate and make a binding quote. He was on time, friendly and professional. The quote was less than others we had gotten (including a discount for Angie's List customers). They delivered boxes and even agreed to do so after normal business hours. They also came back and delivered more boxes when we called and asked. The movers arrived early on the day of the move. I thought they were a little bit noisy in the hallways at 9am on a Saturday, but none of the neighbors complained. They were polite and efficient. We asked them to be extra careful not to scratch our new floors and to keep the hallways clean, and they were very conscientious. Everything arrived in good shape. They mentioned that we actually had more stuff than estimated. They said that sometimes in that case, they call the main office and ask to increase the price, but they did not do that for us. (I was surprised about that, as it's a binding quote after all.)

They were responsive and easy to do business with. I thought that their price was very reasonable as well. Everything they did turned out great.

I used Shleppers for my move last week, and they were awesome. I ve had bad moving experiences with other companies in the past, and I was super stressed about moving again. But everything went perfectly this time. Shleppers confirmed everything, which totally put my mind at ease, and the movers Alex, Tony, and Angel were really careful with all my things. I will definitely use Shleppers again!

The actual move was fine - the workers worked fast and did a good job, and appeared to be careful enough with all the stuff. There was a very big problem in terms of scheduling, however. The company called the day before to confirm the 9:30am appointment (planned weeks before), and I of course confirmed it. So imagine my shock when I turned on my cell phone a little before nine that Saturday morning and there was a message left a bit earlier saying that they tried to confirm that morning and because they couldn't get in touch with me, they had to cancel. I called them back fuming - "you just confirmed this yesterday, and now you're canceling?" Unbelievable. After tireless complaining, they managed to get a team over to me at 12:30pm. Ok, so I got them to do the move, but this may have been the most aggravating consumer experience ever for me, I absolutely had to move that day, and would otherwise not known what to do. Overall, I would not recommend this company.

Nothing was broken and that really impressed me. They showed up on time and didn t hesitate to start working. They were very professional and courteous about everything. The price was fair too. I was satisfied with the service. They were an easy company to work with.

The movers, themselves, were excellent. Two guys came each time. They showed up on time (a little early, actually). They were strong, careful, and knew what they were doing. They worked quickly & finished substantially sooner than the dispatcher had estimated. The administration was not so good: The email confirmation that we had scheduled the 1st job didnt come until we called again, & we never heard from them about the 2nd part of the job until the night before the guys showed up.

It was the easiest my I have ever done. It started with the help of a extremely nice sales assistant his name was Joseph. He gave a 100% accurate estimate as per the cost of the move. The day of the move came and was done before I knew it. All of my items were received safe and secure with no breakage. I well definitely recommend them to all friends and family.

I called Shleppers for an estimate, they sent a gentleman to give me an on site quote. He was knowledgeable, friendly, supplied various informative materials and answered any questions that I had. This was not an easy move, I'm a pack rat and had tons of books, newspapers etc. in this 2 bedroom apartment, 4th floor walk up. His quote was correct and the movers who worked brilliantly were as nice as possible especially given the boxes and furnishings from the the fourth floor. Everything arrived at my new address in perfect order within the time they said and the price they quoted. I'd use Shleppers again for sure and would recommend them to everyone, respectful, and reasonable in terms of price. Some of the estimates were much more and some didn't even want to do the job because of the 4 floors! Use Shleppers they were great, ask for Carlos when you move, he was the foreman.

The job went well. The Shleppers arrived on time, with my needed certificate of insurance for my building which I didnt understand at all, but they did. They wrapped all my furniture, packed all my fragile items, were pleasant, and made what could have been a very stressful day, actually fun! Id recommend them to all my friends. Ask for Harry, he was great.

I THINK THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THE MOVERS WERE NICE & CONSIDERATE OF THE HANDLING OF MY FURNISHINGS. THEY GOT THE MOVE DONE IN 4 HOURS, WHICH BOTH MY HUSBAND & I LIKED.

THIS COMPANY DID A FINE JOB. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH AND CAREFUL. I WAS PLEASED WITH THEM BECAUSE NOTHING WAS BROKEN DURING THE PROCESS. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM MANY TIMES, BECAUSE THEIR PRICES ARE AVERAGE AND THEY DO A GOOD JOB.

I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. THEY DID WHAT I WANTED THEM TO DO, BUT NOTHING MORE. I THINK THERE IS SOME ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, BUT THEY DID AN AVERAGE JOB SO I WAS SATISFIED.

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM AS THEY DID NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE HIRED TO DO. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO UNPACK THE BELONGS AFTER THEY HAD DELIVERED IT TO THE NEW APARTMENT. I COULDNT BE THERE TO SUPERVISE, SO IT DID NOT GET DONE.

IT WAS MY FIRST MOVING EXPERIENCE AND I THINK IT WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. ACTUALLY THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY ALSO. THEY CAME EARLY AND THEY LEFT EARLY. THEY WERE DOING A THOROUGH JOB, BUT THEY GOT OUT QUICKLY. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING.

THEY MISREPRESENT THEIR SERVICE. THEY WERE VERY DIFFICULT. THEY QUOTED ME AT ONE PRICE AND THEN CHARGED ME ANOTHER PRICE. THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
