Shleppers Moving & Storage

Schleppers was terrific. They worked extremely hard to make sure our needs were met and we were satisfied. They packed for us the day before our move, and were considerate of the work from home happening at the same time - even asked if the tape was too loud, and only interrupted to ask questions when necessary. The team made sure to seek guidance while packing and placing the items in our destination, so that we would have the boxes and furniture exactly where we wanted them. They had a positive attitude despite their extremely hard work in heat AND in masks. They were professional, diligent, and considerate. We used Schleppers in the past and so glad we used them again!

After getting quotes and reading reviews from many different companies we were horrified at the level of dishonesty and poor services in this industry. However, when we found Shleppers and read their reviews, we felt a lot more comfortable. After speaking with their sales rep, who seemed very honest and straight forward, our comfort level went up a bit further. When we received their quote we were shocked that their prices were almost $1000 lower than some of the companies who had terrible reputations! We had to reread the reviews On shleppers to make sure they were real! Anyone that we reached out to at the company with questions at any point during the process responded to us within a few hours. The process was explained very clearly to us, our questions were answered patiently. We very much liked the fact that the pricing was explained very clearly, including outlining which factors would make the price go up, and tips on how to keep the price as low as possible. We were also told exactly on which dates our credit card would be charged, and for how much. Everything was above board, and very clear. The online registration outlined everything that was discussed again, and ensured that we understood and agreed to the fine print so we wouldn’t have any surprises at the end. On the day before the move, our movers called and confirmed the time and location, and on the day of the move, they showed up nice and early. Mike and Chris did a fabulous job carrying all our boxes down 3 flights of stairs onto the truck, and were careful with our fragile items. They took the time to wrap our furniture carefully- it was heartwarming to watch them show our belongings so much care. Every single item that left our apartment was tagged with a big blue sticker that had my name, origin, destination and a barcode on it. The barcodes were scanned when the item was placed on the truck, and again every time they were moved. Our apartment was empty within a few hours of the movers showing up- we were surprised by how quickly they worked. The guys were pleasant, professional and focused- we were really impressed with them. We said goodbye to Chris and Mike and our belongings before lunch, and by early afternoon, we received a call confirming that all our belongings had arrived in their warehouse (as had been explained to us in advance). We received constant updates regarding our belongings over the next couple of weeks (ie when they were loaded onto the truck that would be bringing them to the west coast, and again with updates Re the estimated date of arrival). Our belongings arrived a couple days later than anticipated but this was communicated clearly and frequently whenever there was an update. Meeting and unloading our truck went completely smoothly. The truck showed up exactly at the time we agreed, and our items were unloaded carefully. We had a slight miscount of our boxes, but Khalid, the driver, was very patient and helped us recount and check all our boxes to make sure everything had arrived. He stayed longer than necessary to make sure we were comfortable, and was extremely gracious about it. Overall, we were really happy with the service that shleppers provided. They are professional, reliable and honest. Forget all the other companies with their shady reviews and business tactics- Shleppers is the way to go!

Terrible. I paid extra for "professional packing services" and it was the most negligent packing I've ever seen. Just a few examples: China/glassware was packed together with little or no protection; silk ties were rolled up and put at the bottom of a box with several heavy items on top; electronics were packed with no protection, etc., etc. Initially they said they would "fix their mistakes" but after a month and a half waiting for "upper management's approval" they offer $80 as a "goodwill gesture" and no reimbursement for unperformed services (they later increased their "goodwill" to $300 but still no reimbursement. Stay away from them.

I had a great experience with Shleppers. I had to move a two-bedroom apartment that was filled with lots of heavy books and furniture, flat file cabinets, and other things that would have been impossible to move on my own. The Shleppers team made it look really easy, and they were extremely friendly and professional throughout the entire day. They were extra careful with fragile artwork I needed moved. They followed all the strict rules of my new apartment building, like having to finish the move before 5pm on a weekday and being extra careful in the elevator and hallways. It was overall an excellent experience and highly recommend them.

We were so impressed with Shleppers moving company from the estimator to the last box being placed in our new home. We knew it would be a daunting task but our estimator Gavin was the ultimate professional and used software to give us a price on the spot. Of course, we checked with competing companies but Shleppers was not only cheaper but presented the deal in a clearer more concise and we believe more fair manner. On moving day the crew arrived promptly and were friendly and professional. Our belongings were handled carefully which we so appreciated. The time perimeters were met perfectly. All in all great job!

They showed up early and I was not done packing. No worries; they jumped in and helped and moved everything with ease and no breakage. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them highly.

This was hands down the most efficient move I've ever had. I've moved quite a lot in the NY area, and typically feel anxiety as I watch move teams seem to take a very long time time with a job, vs. focusing on getting it done efficiently. I was so pleasantly surprised and super impressed by this move; they loaded and unloaded my stuff so much more quickly than I've ever experienced, in a way that still felt secure and safe. It felt like they had respect for my time and my things, and were also very friendly and professional.

Fantastic. They were on time, efficient and incredibly helpful. The first delivery was from Manhattan to Queens and then to the Bronx. Two of the large sofas had to go up 3 flights. Would definitely use again.

We had an excellent crew packing us up in NY. They worked neatly and carefully and were courteous, professional and neat. They left the house in perfect condition. They had to bring all of our items to the Bronx for 2 months storage, We were concerned that there would be a lot of dust, dirt and lost. But that did not happen. The items delivered to our house in PA were in excellent condition. The move-in was also excellent. We had the same supervising mover and the rest of the team was new. They were so careful moving the furniture into this newly built hose. No damage to the walls, floors and stairs. Great crew

They arrived early, about 8:30 am, which I really appreciate. It took them a long time to load, but the foreman said that was to be expected. At my new address, they unloaded in good time and finished 15 minutes before the deadline; which was 5 pm.

I've used Shleppers to move my personal belongings twice now, once in 2013, and once in October of 2019. They are reliable, trust worthy, hard working, and fairly priced. The moving consultant also coordinated my moved over the weekend for the following Monday. Additionally, there was a Quality Assurance representative that visited me during the day of the move to ensure that everything was going as planned. After researching several movers in NYC, I chose Shleppers for my last two moves and highly recommend them to others.

Excellent. The two teams handling my goods were both very professional, efficient, courteous, helpful, friendly and worked very quickly. My goods arrived in excellent condition. And I very much appreciated the understanding of the staff who had to manage my many changes during the process of moving. I also note that as members of my family also used this company and were satisfied, I received a modest discount. This was most welcomed. I recommend their services.

This was the second time i used this company. I was very impressed and satisfied with the services. They were polite and extremely helpful while remaining professional and timely.

Move went poorly. Quality of team was mixed. Some of team members didn’t show up first day which created a delay in packing and move. During move some walls and wood floors were damaged. Some of the furniture was not properly wrapped and damaged as well. Team decided that piano would not be moved to final destination despite being part of the quote, which required hiring and paying a different company. Overall stressful and poor experience. Will not use again.

Everything went really well. I booked my move with Shannon Sweeney (ext 114). She emailed my a quote immediately and throughout the process she answered all my questions and concerns. On move in day Herb and his crew arrived to my apt on time. They carefully packed and wrapped my belongings. When we got to my house they unpacked everything with care and placed all my furniture and items where I asked them to be. They were patient and helpful while we arranged the furniture. We finished our move ahead of schedule which was amazing! I would definitely recommend Shleppers to anyone that is moving.

Kevin and his crew were great. They packed up our apartment in only three hours, and worked around our young daughter who was there at the time. Nothing was broken or lost in the move, which is saying a lot considering we have a lot of breakable stuff and small toys. They also delivered our items the next day, re-assembled furniture, and placed everything into the rooms that we indicated. They were excellent, professional, prompt and courteous. I cannot recommend them enough.
