Description of Work: Provider came to look at a problem with dishwasher. Serviceman performed a fix, but warned me it might not work (alternative was replacing appliance); he told me Millwood would refund me if the fix did not work. In fact it didn't work and the same serviceman returned, took out the new part, and refunded me 100% just as promised. I appreciated this honest, stand-up service and will call Millwood again in future.

Description of Work: Estimate was way overpriced and repairman either didn't know what he was talking about or wouldn't give it to me straight. Explored the internet and was able to purchase the parts and do the job myself for about 15% of the quote in about 35 minutes, and I'm no mechanic!

Description of Work: My oven wasn't heating. The repairman checked it out, determined that the ignitor was broken, replaced the ignitor, and tested it to make sure it worked (which it did). The whole thing went well, and luckily he had the necessary part in his truck and was able to replace it right then and there.

Description of Work: His visit charge was reasonable (only $50 if I remember correctly -- which I may not -- and after a thorough dissembling of my stovetop, two men who came reported that the computer board on my 20-plus-year-old appliance had died. He phoned the warehouse and regretted that the boards were no longer made and unavailable. I checked with another company later and confirmed that. I'll definitely use this company for future large appliance problems.

Description of Work: A diagnosis was given by a very professional, prompt, and courteous,man. The estimate was higher than I was willing to pay for an eleven-year old stove. I did not go ahead with the repair at this time because I am looking into purchasing a new stove. I must say that they were most cooperative in that there was no charge to me despite the fact that they had orded the part and than had to pick-up the cost from the supplier. They returned my check and charged only for the diagnosis. A fine and professional company in every way.They were so very graciously. I can not recommend them enough.

Description of Work: My oven stopped working the week before Thanksgiving. The repair service through the manufacturer said they couldn't schedule a visit for over 2 weeks. I called Millwood's, described the problem, and John was at my house the next day. The best part was that since I had described the model and problem, he came with a box of potential parts to fix the problem and could do it all at one time. He was very friendly and helpful, and the oven worked perfectly for Thanksgiving.
