Roofs that have the original wood cedar shake shingles common to homes built prior to 1945- exclude most of the city of Buffalo, no metal roofs, no windows
Had roof replaced on about 25 year old house. Because of the location of the house the roof takes a beating especially with winds and winter. We were beginning to get leaks. Called a few places. Some places never bothered to call back. Mike responded in a timely manner. He came out to see the roof, showed us roofing samples, explained the ins and outs of roofing and what to expect, and gave us an estimate. He gave a start date and stuck to it. He was professional, patient and prompt and knew about roofing. His crew was also professional. They set about their jobs without noise or complaints. They removed the shingles down to plywood and replaced the entire roof. The roof has a very steep pitch and they maneuvered it well (I apparently was more nervous than they were). They finished in about 3.5 days. They were diligent about cleaning up the mess each day. They were even forgiving when the dogs got out and stole some of their stuff. About a week later We had pelting rains and I heard a dripping onside one wall. I called Mike and to my surprise he promptly called me back. I explained the problem, he came out the next day and climbed on the roof himself to look at it. There may have been a problem with the chimney (which he fixed even though he didn't have to)...haven't had a problem since. Mike and his crew were knowledgable, professional, and courteous. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I love working out in the country whenever I get the chance. There's something about getting a great field of view when the deer meander along the hedge row, or the occassional wood chuck rises to the occassion to see what's going on.This roof was steep, very steep. That kind of pitch slows everything down and we had to work carefully and methodically. It actually took us a day longer than expected. The chimney was encased in 4 inch cedar slats that had taken a beating from the wind and rain. All you need is one crack when it starts to dry out and water will find its way in mimicking a roof leak. I came back using my moisture detector to locate the source and liberally applied a clear commercial sealant. They are nice people and it is a nice job.

Trust in a contractor is just as important as providing a high quality installation, especialy when you are up in years and a lady, in this case two ladies. Usually on fixed incomes, surprises are not welcomed even if sometimes unavoidable. In this case we absorbed the cost of some added repairs when deterioration more than expected was detected on the deck. I know they were appreciative. We had the benefit of reaching out and lending a few helping hands. Although we can't do this on every job, they were the perfect choice! I love my job!

Mike explained his background and procedures thoroughly and advised me of the best color option for my home. When he quoted he gave me a discount as a member of Angie's List. The day before work was to begin, Mike called to explain that the job would be delayed 2 days because of dangerously hot weather. On the promised day, work began promptly in the morning. Tarps were used around the house to prevent damage to landscaping. Every scrap of debris was cleaned up. By 3:30 the next day, the job was done. The workers were friendly and professional, and worked steadily. The end result is perfection. Mike had tried a few times to patch the old roof because the shingles were in great shape. However, the previous homeowner had friends install that roof and the workmanship was so shoddy that it became obvious that only a new roof would solve the increasing problems. Mike only charged me for his first attempt to patch the old roof. There was no charge for subsequent visits. Mike is not only a perfectionist, he is also the kindest professional you will ever meet. He is completely trustworthy and an asset to anyone looking for assistance with roof leaks or roof replacement. Because of his integrity, he has assembled a great crew.

About 50% of calls logged in are agitated folks who are having problems with their roof that is only a year or less old. They are frustrated because after repeated attemps to reach the contractor, the company is either out of business, moved south, opened up under another name or just plain can't be bothered. Another common reason is that they do not know how to solve the problem. In this particular situation, the plastic backing on the ice and water membrane was never removed at the time of installation therefore it did not adhere to the deck, the underlayment was installed backwards, they never pulled the siding to expose the flashing and the list goes on. The soffits had no ventilation trapping heat inside the crawl space producing significant icing during most winters, which eventually caused water to track down the walls. Single woman and older people are usually targeted by some contractors to "slam" the job, get paid with a tail light warranty- that is -you will never see them again! My wife explained it to me this way. "I can by a shirt at a local department store for $10 that after several washes is thrown out because of the poor quality of the cloth. Or -I can purchase a better quality garment that will last me few years. Of course Italien made shoes are the most expensive in the world but will last a life-time.Ultimately ', one gets what one pays for'.We do not over charge for our services, but we do charge a modest installation price. The workmanship is always impeccable because my signature goes on every job. My men take pride in their work, have famiies of their own and are very proficient in an honorable trade. Thankyou for noticing Shirley! :]

The entire experience went well. I needed a new roof on my garage only (the house was done 12 years ago with 40 year shingles,so they should last a few more decades). I contacted Mike Siebold online to set up an appointment. He called back the next day and he came out a few days later to check things over. Mike's a nice guy, professional, informative and friendly. I felt at ease with him and felt his company would do a good job.The shingles were delivered to my house the day before the installation, and the crew arrived at 7:30 the following morning and got right to work. They were finished around noon, and when I got home I was surprised at how cleaned up everything was. You wouldn't even have known they were there if it wasn't for the beautiful new roof. We have quite a few plants and shrubs around the garage and nothing was damaged.I would recommend Siebold Construction and would definitely hire them again.

Mike came to walk the roof and give us an estimate. We told Mike that in May we would be adding an sunroom addition which would need roofing, also. He gave us a price we could submit to the insurance company for the current roof. He coordinated his roofing work with the sunroom contractor and they agreed upon a day for him to do the roof while they were installing the sunroom. The sunroom salesman said his company wanted to do the roof on the sunroom because they warrantee their work. But when it came time for them to roof it, their job was complete with only a white metal roof. There was a disconnect. Mike agreed to roof the sunroom as well and the sunroom contractor agreed to pay Mike his additional cost. Mike was on time and flexible. He has his own crew and they knew what they were doing. He cleaned up the old roofing and was very neat.
Description of Work: We met Mike Seibold at the home show and liked him immediately. He was friendly and knowledgable but not your typical salesperson. He is the owner as well. After a windstorm in March we found the roof of our recently purchased 14-year-old ranch house was mostly on the ground. We put in a insurance claim and was told to find a roofer. We got three estimates. Mike's was not the lowest but it was close. He uses quality CertainTeed products and guarentees his work for a lifetime. I had difficulty selecting a roof color so Mike gave me addresses of three houses to check out. I wasn't happy with any of them so I called him and he gave me three more. I still wasn't sure so I called again. I was concerned that by then I was really annoying him but he handled it very pleasantly. Af ter changing my mind three time, I finally chose a color and I am very happy with it.

Sometimes, selecting the right color of shingles to complement the colors of the house can be daunting.Overall appearance of the shingle can be affected depending on the pitch of the roof, whether it's a cloudy or sunny day, trim color, grout lines etc. Most folks don't even notice the roof untill its time for replacement. I'd rather spend a little more time having the home owner choose a suitable color. Not only can a roof substantially increase the value of the home, it will be there for 30 years or more! Member did their homework and research and took their time in selecting the right contractor for the job. This determination was not based on cost alone. Ultimately, "you get what you pay for." Although we are far from expensive, we do charge a modest fee for our high quality installation techniques and overall professional work ethics. We'll just chalk this up to "another job well done" !

Seibold arrived exactly on time and completed the job in only 2 days. They were entirely professional and made sure we were completely satisfied. The total cost for the job was exactly on estimate even though the estimate included only one bathroom vent and we actually needed two. They did a fine job with the cleanup and did as well preserving our landscaping as could be expected with the massive volume of shingles they needed to remove. The new roof looks great and we couldn't be happier.

Removing 3 layers of shingles is quite a challenging task usually creating blisters on already calloused hands. According to a national scale on the most difficult and dangerous jobs, roofers are 7th from the top. Working under extreme conditions, {blistering heat, rain, snow etc.} we are always expected to work to the best of our ability. Having a top-notch crew that works well together, watches each others backs, and takes pride in their workmanship is a must. They can make even the most difficult job look easy, but I can assure you there is nothing easy about it.We always like to do something "extra" for a customer to extend our "good will" and as a thank you for awarding us the work. I have been concerned about the roof for well over a year. Had 2 estimates for the entire roof, and was told that the entire roof needed to be done very soon. Siebold responded promptly. He introduced himself and explained his background. I was impressed with how seriously he took his business. Did not seem like someone to just come in and slap on a roof. He is educated regarding roofing and you can tell he wants to do it right. He evaluated our needs and discussed with us. He was very straightforward and easy to talk to. I had already spoken with a number of people, and had some sense of the problems with the roof. He told us we did not need to do the entire roof now, and gave us an estimate on what needed to be right away. His estimate was very fair, and he arranged to have the work done. The work was done quickly, and well. No mess, very easy for us. He could have said we needed everything now, but instead he only did what needed to be done right away, and now we can move forward one part of the job at a time. He can do the same thing on the other side of the house, and then roof one side of the house at a time. That will make it much more manageable financially. I am much more at ease now, and my wife is very happy. I highly recommend this company.

Disposable income for most is less this year as a result of a slowed economy. After I interview a potential customer and evaluate the work to be performed, an estimate is prepared customized to their particualr needs. Sometimes we can prolong the life of a roof untill the customer is more financially able,Obviously most roofing contractors are not interested in roof repairs but would rather opt for a complete tear-down of the old shingles and simply answer the next incomi ng call in hopes that it will be an inquirey for a complete roof. Our company not only strives for excellence in the field but seeks to meet the needs of our customers regardless of the size of the job. let me put it another way. We are not as concerned with making money as we are with making the needs of the customer come first. When one elevates the concerns of the customer above sales quotas, work magically flows in our direction. Authenticity, dedication , sincerety and integrity form the backbone of service, which is what we are all about. Respectfully, Michael Seibold- owner

In addition to providing complete roof installations, we also help out customers who have signed with less than professional contractors and are experiencing problems with the installation. This particulatr repair involved removing the vinyl siding on the vertical elevations connected to the lower roof, installing a rubberized membrane up the side wall and re-installing the siding. We also buttoned up the roof edge by removing the gutter and shingles at the roof edge and wrapping the membrane behind the gutter. After solving roofing problems for almost 35 years this particular solution was obvious and should have been completed at the time of the original roof installation. We are compensated for not only performing the needed repairs but also for knowing "how" to provide a water-tight solution. Not every roofer is in the "know" and it takes years of field experience and problem solving to adequately detail a roof that will provide year round protection from the elements.. I recommend Mike and his team very highly! We had another leak in our roof so we called Leak Master to come out and fix it. We were impressed with other reviews that we read about Mike, specifically that he doesn't subcontract his work out and that he doesn't require any pay until the work is finished. Mike came over that same day and inspected our roof. He took some pictures and explained to us why we needed to replace it. His team came over 2 days later to mend the leak in the mean time. He and his team came back about 3-4 weeks later to replace the roof. They did a great job and it only took them 2 days. The crew was very polite, clean, and organized. They didn't disrupt any flowers surrounding our house or anything in our yard. They were also careful not to disrupt anything in our neighbors' yards, as our houses are fairly close together. They cleaned everything up and left no trace that they were here. Our roof looks beautiful and we feel confident that we won't have any problems down the road. Again, we would highly recommend him! A+++

We had a large chunk of our roof blow off during a wind storm which caused leaks in our house. I called 4-5 contractors to come out and everyone gave us a 2-3 week timeframe except Seibold. They were in the middle of the Buffalo Home and Garden Show yet he came early Saturday before going to the show. By noon that day I had an employee here fixing my roof. We are going to need a new roof soon and will definitely be using Seibold. Thank you Angie's List.

There is enough reason for "un ease" in this world without contributing to it. Customers that have lost shingles due to high winds really do need to have them replaced as soon as possible to mitigate water leaking thru the roof deck. We couldn't possibly survive as a company just responding to calls for missing shingles. Liability insurance for roofers is extremely expensive and dictates signing on full roofs to pay the bills. Yet there is a demand to assist people with storm damage and we pledge to do our part. It is nice to hear when a customer is grateful..

Mike is one of the best contractors I have ever dealt with. He is personable, professional, reliable, thorough, knowledgable and honest. We obtained three estimates for replacing the roof on our 1800 square foot ranch house; I knew that there were 3 old layers on the roof, and we had had some (minor) leaking over the fall, and was looking for a full tear off and replacement. Mike returned my calls promptly and came to give the estimate as planned. He declined to perform the estimate when we were not home, as he wanted to talk to us to explain his findings and eventual costs. I found his presentation to be excellent. He was able to answer all our questions about our roof, and was extremely knowledgable and experienced, as well as very pleasant to deal with. He has excellent attention to detail and shows great pride in the work his company does. His estimate came in the middle range of our 3 estimates. I picked Mike for 2 reasons: one, his apparent knowledge, honesty, and professionalism. When you meet him, you will understand. And 2, his ratings on Angie's List are excellent. But what impressed me most, is that Mike takes the time to respond to each of his reviews on Angie's List, positive or negative. I feel that this shows that he is invested in building his company and maintaining his excellent reputation for customer service. We also received a $500 deduction on the cost as an Angie's List discount, which was later changed to $1000, as Mike had originally lost our phone number and felt badly about it. (but I had contacted him by email, so there was really no delay) We told him that we would be away for 2 weeks in late March, and he contacted us a week after we returned to set up a time to replace our roof. The crew (of about 6 - 7?) arrived promptly at 7:30 am. They were always professional, courteous, timely, and very neat. When they left each day, the massive amount of debris was totally gone. When we had inclement weather one day, Mike called us early in the morning to let us know that he and his crew would not be working that day, but would finish the next day. He also explained that the roof was water tight and that we shouldn't worry about any rain or snow. The job took 2 1/2 days to complete. Also, Mike found while doing the work, that there was an area (a rafter) that had rotted and needed to be replaced, but he did not charge us any extra. This was very appreciated by us. The roof looks fantastic! I know that if I have any further problems, (which I highly doubt!), I can contact Mike and he will address them. Although I've been told by some friends, "you can get that work done cheaper," (!) I would NEVER go for the "cheap." This was quality work done by an honest professional; totally worth it; you get what you pay for! I highly recommend Seibold Construction, aka "Leakmasters", Michael Seibold.

I always make a habit of reading a few customer responses to my crew before starting work that day. It's not only a great way to begin, it allows the guys to hear how much their efforts are valued and appreciated all the way to picking up the last stray nail. Each man plays an important role in executing the job successfully from start to finish, no one more important than the other, but together -"a well oiled machine." As time marches on, this trade is gradually moving towards professionalism in product knowledge and application. It is pleasant to hear that a customer has taken notice. The job was started about two weeks after getting a quotation which included a $500 deduction based on being a member of Angie's List. The crew arrived right on time and informed me the entire job would take four days and that each day the roof would be left in a state so that any rain would not cause any leaking. Tarps were installed in the attic to catch any debris which fell through the slats. Plywood sheets and tarps were placed to protect the house and catch debris. Most debris was removed daily and a magnetic device was used to pickup any stray nails. The crew was courteous, informative and worked without breaks except for a 20 minute lunch. Each day they arrived at 7:30 and left at 4:30-5:00. The entire job was completed in 3 1/2 days and the new roofs look very professionally done. Despite the massive piles of debris at times, there remains not one speck of anything on the lawn.
Description of Work: Remove two layers of roofing down to original slats on roof frame on main and front roofs. Install 3/8-inch plywood underlayment on both roofs. Install ice/water membrane, breatherable membrane and Landmark Certainteed architectural shingles on both roofs. Re-coat horizontal side roof with aluminum based paint. Install main roof ridge vent and replace main roof soffits with vented soffits. Clean out all roof gutters. Install leaf covers to all gutters. Remove unused rear chimney. Install new flashing to main chimney and roof vents. Remove all debris.

. Earlier in the year I had an instance where I had a leak of about a glass of water through my suspended ceiling in my Family Room. One time only but I thought that I may have to replace the roof over this addition. I called Mike at Seibold Construction and we set up date for an estimate. The day came and Mike was punctual, brought out his ladder and climbed up on the roof of my addition. He looked at the roof and said it was in great shape and that the problem was from worn/missing caulking under the window of the main part of the house. He told me what I needed to do and that was it. When I do need a new roof, Mike and Siebold Construction will be who I will call.

I always strive to give customers practical solutions in resolving roofing problems. Many times what appears to be a roof leak can actually be caused by open flashing, improperly installed siding, windows, separation in flue tiles in a chimney or as in this particular case, worn out caulking on window trim. If it is an easy fix, I usually ask the homeowner if they would like to get their hands dirty and make the appropriate repairs, providing it is a walkable roof, a low pitch and they are adept at using a ladder. Some of my competitors think I'm crazy for investing my time, knowledge and gas money for nothing. When I leave, the customer is smiling because he just saved a boatload of money on a roof that didn't need replacing and can take that family vacation that was postponed. I will tell you if the roof needs replacing upon a visual inspection, ultimately you get what you need, not what you don't need. I really don't worry about the phones ringing, as a matter of fact, the phone is ringing right now. Sorry, have to go!

We had a very leaky roof, prone to ice dams and we contacted Leakmaster to fix those issues for us during the winter. They completed the work quickly and I was impressed with them. When it was time to replace that leaky roof, we immediately though of Leakmaster. However, we wanted to do our due diligence and interview several other companies. We solicited quotes from six local contractors and Leakmaster's price was right in the middle. What sold us on investing in such a large project was Mike Seibold. When you meet him, you'll get it. He's an honest guy who was truly concerned with the health of our home, our satisfaction, and our family. His estimate was thorough and his advice was direct. Mike took a significant amount of time to design a roofing solution for us and made several recommendations that other contractors failed to note. His attention to detail and pride in his work was clear from the start. When work began, Mike came out on the first day, introduced his team, and walked us through how the project was to be completed. His team was punctual, professional, and answered any and all questions we had during the project. When the work was done, Mike took a significant amount of time detailing the work that was completed and made sure we knew what to do in the event of any issues. When you hear about a guy who uses the "extra nail" or goes the "extra mile", they're talking about a guy like Mike. I don't say this very often, but the money we spent with Leakmaster was, by far, the the best money we've ever spent on a home improvement project. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

"Not all roofs are created equal"- you can look at 2 different roofs side by side, and although they may appear to be the same, they are probably not. The ability of a shingle to withstand extreme weather conditions is more dependent on how and what kinds of materials were installed under the shingle,{the substrate} than the shingle itself. Roofing tiles were made to shed water {in the direction of gravity}. On most roofs, one could direct water using a garden hose, simulating wind driven rain, under the shingles, along chimney flashing, skylights etc. and cause a leak. This particular house experienced serious ice back-up caused from trapped heat and inadequate detailing of the roof edges. In essence there is much more effort involved in ensuring a water tight roof than just nailing on shingles. These customers are professionals in their own field of expertise and recognize quality work and ethics when they see it. Thank you for the good report! Respectfully, Michael Seibold

I called Mike on Monday (3/12) based on his stellar Angie's list rating including Super Service Awards. He came to the house on Tuesday and gave me the estimate (which turned out to be the final price.) He showed me his portfolio including education, insurance, Angie's List awards and several photos of previous work. He wasn't sure when he could start but wound up delivering the materials on Thursday and his team completing the work on Friday in 5 hours. He called me twice during the actual work, as he couldn't be there himself, to give me the names of his team members and to make sure all was going well. Within 5 hours his team had completed the job and totally cleaned up the area. Since the garage was well built, I didn't want to take the chance of having it deteriorate due to poor roofing. The weather side shingles were badly torn up and during windstorms a number of shingles would blow off. He called me today to make sure I was totally satisfied with the work (I was!) If it were possible to give him 10 stars I would do it in an instant. I will definitely use him for future jobs and wil recommend him to anyone who asks my opinion. I was impressed with his professionalism and lack of high pressure tactics. I had the choice of delaying any work that I felt I could not afford at the moment. What more is there to say? Mike is top-notch!
Description of Work: Stripped roof to the deck - hauled away all old shingles. Installed 3 linear feet of ice and water membrane. Installed Roofers Select under layout. Installed lifetime warranty shingles - gave me a choice of colors but I went with his recommendation as matching the garage color best. Installed ridge cap. Gave me an option of installation of new aluminum facia on sides of garage and installation of gutters and downspouts (there had been none there) which I agreed to. The day before they were to do the work, I asked for aluminum facia around the perimiter of the garage door, which he agreed to at a very reasonable price.

The member is about is about as nice a customer as I've ever had. Trust seems to be a major contributing factor, along with product knowledge and price in securing work as a contractor and then delivering on that "trust." Especially when one is alone, widowed, widower or thru divorce and lacks another voice in counsel to discuss the project at hand, it's important to talk with a contractor who expresses concern and understanding for their unique life-situation and takes the time to answer all their questions and options, without any pressure to make a decision, without creating any false sense of urgency, as in "this roof has to be done yesterday!" People in general appreciate being treated like a person, not just another sales quota that needs to be met. My wife has said in passing that I will never make a "good business man" because I care more about people than I do about "getting that job." Maybe she's right, but then again I re-sided her house 20 years ago and she liked it so much that she married me! Go figure.

We did a rehab loan because we used our cash for closing costs thinking that the roof for both the house and garage were done. When we re-inspected the house we discovered the garage was not done. We were misled by another company who told us $900 but then never returned our calls. Mr. Siebold looked at the garage and told us the reason the other place was not calling us back was because they had drastically underestimated the cost. He accepted the job and within a week, the garage was done and done well. We are very happy with their work and since we do not know what kind of roof was placed on the house in order to close the deal, we will be using Siebold if and when the house roof needs to be replaced. Mr. Siebold's son and a crew came to the house and had the work done in half a day. I felt terrible that we had nothing to offer them as we had not moved in yet, but they did fantastic, clean up was spotless and we could not tell there had been work done anywhere in the yard. His son was polite and professional; a real pleasure.
Description of Work: Full tear off and replacement of garage roof.

As a general rule of thumb, when securing estimates for a project, a home-owner usually discards the low bid and the high bid. A contractor that furnishes a cheap price, who is commonly referred to as a "low baller" in the trade, typically has to use short cuts or materials that are considered "Seconds"{less than adequate} to complete the job, that is, if the job is completed. Unless the high bidder can justify their quote, a customer generally goes with a contractor who has priced the job somewhere in the middle. Of course there are other points to ponder, how long has the contractor been in business? What do former customers have to say about the company? Are they financially solvent? What kind of certifications and qualifications do the employees possess. What kind of warranty is provided? In this particular case their was another bid higher than mine. In order to keep the closing on schedule without making changes to the original sales contract {, [between the low balling no-show and my bid},I suggested that the difference be paid from her personal account. She agreed and the house closed without a hitch. Another happy customer and I'm smiling!

The repair was completed sooner than we expected - thoroughly and efficiently. The crew was courteous - cleaning up all debris from the job. About 5 months later we noticed leaking along the chimney area on an interior wall and called Mike. He came out again, inspected the leak and advised us that there may be masonry cracks in the chimney, stating that we should have that checked. He again performed some minor repair on the roof "just in case." He was right about the chimney cracks. We were very happy with the overall repair job, service and honesty. We will hire this company again.
Description of Work: We need a new roof on an older home. Mike came out and gave us a very fair estimate and alleviated our fears that this major project had to be done immediately. He told us what the life expectancy was on the current roof and estimated what repairs would be needed to stop immediate leaks. The leaking area of the roof was repaired by removing rotted wood beneath the worst section replacing it and re-shingling that area, as well as re-roofing and sealing other damaged regions.

In our current economic environment, some of my customers have to defer installing a new roof until a later date when their financing is in order. We then propose making the necessary corrections to mitigate water filtration at a fraction of the cost of an entire roof. This approach is not always able to be done if the shingles are too worn. We offer this alternative when possible.

So far, so good. All went well. I know that if there is a problem, I will be able to call them and they will come and fix it,
Description of Work: Front roof/gable area was leaking. Since 2003, Mike has always taken good care of our roof problems. He will always attempt to do the job as inexpensively--yet as thoroughly and completely--as possible. His crew are ALWAYS polite and show up dressed appropriately--no loud music. Jason and Jeremiah (? Zach?) actually completed the work. In less than an hour, they had applied leak proof adhesive to several trouble spots. In the past, when the leak was not corrected the first time, they returned and made sure that the leak was fixed. Even though Mike was feeling under the weather and was under extreme family circumstances, he came out and gave me the estimate. We whole heartedly recommend Seibold Construction and hope they stay in business for a long time. We don't know what we would do without them!!!!! David and Ann Kenmore, NY

In this particular situation, we contracted with the customer to do part of her roof. The house has a hip roof, 4 sides in which we stripped , re-decked and installed a shingle that would match in color and design the remaining shingles. About 5 years later we returned to "button-up" the remainder of the roof which included 2 skylights, vent boots and flashing to protect against water filtration and ice back-up from an up-coming winter.

This particular job required intensive detailing of the lower sections of the roof, side walls and an asundry of roofing techniques too numerous to mention. The existing shingle on the main house roof had plenty of life expectancy but leaked profusely through-out the winter months. The previous installer did a great job of installing the shingles but failed to protect roof edges and side walls susceptible to ice back-up. Our installation techniques which transcend manufacturer’s specifications are what separates us from the rest of the pack. We also stripped and roofed the garage with a similar shingle as the main house.

I am not always able to answer the phone directly. I might be measuring up a prospective job, dangling over the edge of a roof inspecting a leak, answering another call etc. I'll always return your phone call unless the demand for service is so outrageous {as in the case of the October 13th storm} where we logged in aprox 1500 calls that week of which I can maybe handle ten. Some of my customers are waiting for me to hire a secretary, Somehow I can't justify spending more time with another women than my wife.I like being married and happily married. This job was a complete tear-down of the old roof, including installing the proper ventilation to the soffits, which is critical in establishing the correct flow of air which delineates ice formation and back-up. We also increased the amount of ice and water membrane due to a lower pitched roof. We added an extra gutter to the rear of the house at no charge. We always try to do something extra for our customers. Yes, some people will attempt to take advantage of our good will but overall, people are very appreciative.

The customer is a fire fighter, he's used to being up on roofs and is quite fearless of heights. Owning his first house with a young family, I remember how hard it was myself years ago tackling the bigger jobs. The roof was leaking around the vent pipes so I left him a partial bucket of roofing cement to seal the boots in place. There was no exchange of money but at his request I wrote an estimate for complete replacement as the shingles were quite dilapidated, exceeding their life-expectancy. To my surprise, about a month later, the phone rang and he gave us the go-ahead.

I appreciate when a customer recognizes the nuances and detailing when installing a roofing system. Actually, like snow flakes, there is no one roof a like, They each embody their unique set of challenges and implementation of a variety of techniques that only comes with experience. The shingle manufacturers and suppliers can offer guidelines in regards to the installation process, but a true professional factors in the type of climate, style of home and its location and most often goes above and beyond the manufactures specifications. In a sense, for those who take it seriously, it can come close to being an art-form. Thank you for noticing! Respectfully, Michael Seibold-owner

I contacted Leakmasters because of their rating on Angies List. After inteviewing several roofers, I chose Leakmasters because Mike was the most forthcoming of those who responded to my calls. His explanation of services offered was quite detailed and he had illustrations of the tasks he proposed. I was impressed by his presentation, his demeanor and by the recommendations I read on this website.
Description of Work: Leakmasters removed old roofing and replaced it with new, 15-year warranteed roofing. They worked for two days, arrived on time and stayed within the promised timeframe. The workers were courteous and professional. They were meticulous in their clean-up (even sweeping our front porch and deck) and in protecting our windows and shrubbery. We could not have been more pleased.

Contacted provider from members list, who returned my call two days later.Mike came out that morning, looked at my roof and quoted a price which I thought was proper,I put a small deposit down. Mike called back a few days later and asked if he could send someone out that day. That wasn't possible, and I asked about the next morning and he asked what time,we set 9:00am.Next morning ,two crew men showed up at 8:45am ,went over the job and I turned them loose.About three hours later,I was asked to look at the work and if I had any questions.I was pleased with their work, and payed the balance owed.

This is a very busy time of the year and I am not always able to respond in a timely manner due to the sheer volume of calls My business is operated with one crew of four men. Each job is executed with precision and care. We can strip a roof and complete the shingle installation usually within a day to a day and a half. Repair work is completed between full roof installations. It might take a few days for us to get to you but I guarantee it's worth the wait!
